Ah, very interesting (and hopefully intentional). Is it like that for all 3 styles now?

First, most embarrassing: Reluctantly went with a friend and two of his when the box method was still viable at SaradominGWD. I was told nothing other than "stay in the corner" before we went into the boss room. Of course that same friend ran out of the corner after successful kill 1 and beautiful miss Zilyana came onto me. "Oh, she's wielding a Saradomin Sword, I should protect from melee." Wrong. Fried to death. Someone blessed my grave but left immediately after. Lost about 2.5m in god armor because I almost died again with very little time left when I finally got to my stuff... I probably died at corp (who didn't before gano?) at some point but don't remember losing anything important. I died another time at GWD, this time to Graardor, with that same friend (go figure). I was in void, expecting him to tank which he couldn't handle. 2 hit. Thankfully I got all of my stuff back that time, though. More noble: Earlier than any of that there was a time I felt like quitting so I went on a rampage through the Wilderness. Clad in full (self-made) Skeletal (with ramskull ;) ) I wreaked havoc with charged Flames of Zamorak from Edge to Mage Bank, causing many shit kids to teleport before finally succumbing at MB lever. Probably would've gotten further if I'd had any food and my last opponent hadn't been a black dhide ranger with MSB. Good story.

I'd guess a bit higher, at least with solomon. I see people practically everywhere with some of the clothing pieces or multiple other things that they would have had to have bought additional runecoins to get. That is not to say that they use it often or even more than once though. Off-topic regarding the spinning, but I think you're onto something, may I add; I think when you login, there should be in-game news, ie; the same news that's on the front page, this then forces you to read it (or skip it if you wish to go straight into the game) hopefully this would stop thousands of accounts going "what was update?" I'd definitely agree with this if it's in the lobby (such as where the God Wars Remastered banner is) and if we can filter or otherwise split up different kinds of news items. I'd just go directly to the game window/use the client too, then.

Oh, he certainly did say that. I was simply saying that I didn't agree that was reasonable to conclude but much of the rest of what he said was, and so there was no need for such flagrant exaggeration or dismissal on Sylpheed's part. Another classic example of someone coming to completely unsubstantiated and highly dramatised conclusions. I see only one "highly dramatised conclusion" about the milking and death of RS. Everything else he said (bar [bleep]ing about audio) were fairly reasonable conclusions to make. We must analyze even small things like backtracking and pauses because typically there isn't that much we have to go on. If MMG felt he needed to correct that particular statement, it's reasonable to conclude that the added revenues aren't going directly into the game. However, if they're going to the studio, we can at least assume that the game will benefit indirectly. _______ It's nice to hear that they might allow us to earn our items and XP again. I'd like that, especially if it included the various limited time offers I've missed. EDIT oh wait... still coming from loyalty points. Far from ideal. Far from being able to earn them through playing the damn game.

I fully agree with this. Our ability to defeat them or a relatively low combat level are not good indicators of their standing overall. Oftentimes we're able to beat extremely powerful beings in the interest of gameplay that we otherwise probably shouldn't have had a chance against. For example, Yk'Lagor the Thunderous and the Sea Slug Queen are both killed with pillars... I would only rank using combat level when it's necessary such as if two beings seem nearly equal. I look forward to seeing this thread expanded. :)

How can anyone be surprised or outraged over the new player models? Similar ones have been present in the beta since its release. And actually, the ones in the beta are better than the ones in the live game, meaning the current ones will be improved again when EoC goes live. Assumedly EoC was intended to be ready by GWD Remastered's release, which didn't happen. Live and beta. I don't know why beta appears larger.

Willing to trade for ZGS at GE value + cash to balance

Got Ward of Subjugation. Doesn't appear it'll sell for higher than guide price although I'm reluctant to try that. Weird... Well won't Spectral be its direct equivalent anyway? Spectral's becoming an effectless magic spirit shield iirc div = bandos kite in stats...

Effective use of the uMad Necklace :)

On the beta, Bandos, Armadyl, and Ganodermic have stats at tier level 75, despite their mixed requirements. I've no idea if they'll keep it like this or change it, or what they'll do with Ganodermic should the new Zamorakian mage armor also be equivalent (although Ganodermic could be kept as a cheaper, degradable alternative).

If they cared to stop it, they'd just make it against the rules. I seriously doubt most of the random, two-bit dicers that hang about the GE corners on any given world would stick around if they could be reported for it, even if said reports were as ineffective as reporting for any other offense. And aren't those the ones that annoy most people, anyway? Obviously the higher-ends would still be around to cater to those willing to break the rules to get their fix, but they'd move somewhere out of the way where people who want nothing to do with it wouldn't have to see them, and the gambling "issue" would disappear too.

I should hope they'll be exporting graves to right outside the boss room with the update, and especially if there's an instance option. It's more of a legacy situation than legitimate challenge or risk to have graves appear in the boss room.

Some beta glitches

What happens when you are a high level, and your training doesn't mean jack because everyone else in the room has the exact same gear and stats as you? That's how I feel anyway... Related, my ZGS seems to have risen 8m in street value. Neat. Time to go get some more.

Actually I checked just now to make sure, and I have 100% power remaining on my mad necklace, so no loss there.

Glad I got 350k farm xp, sad I lost the xp off the mad may necklace... I really was going to use it, eventually.

It would be great to hear about all of these neat things they have planned if they weren't being presented with a vague and weightless concession.

Wait, you did that in the beta? I killed QBD multiple times in bandos and armadyl with little problem. :P I was trying different setups to see how they worked. The best one was royal (Although dual CCB was never tried with dragonbane bolts), and I never tried melee either Yeah, unless they changed her since when I defeated her, she's much easier in the beta. I put her down with Blood and Ice Barrages in Virtus and again in Necromancer for shts n giggles.

Your initial questions have pretty much been answered so do with this what you will. Last I checked it was better value (same strength and higher Defense) to use Amulet of Fury + Berserker Ring with Dragon Platebody/Platelegs than Amulet of Glory + Warrior Ring with Bandos Chestplate/Tassets. The point is not to buy Bandos unless you already have the Amulet of Fury or Berserker Ring. If you can afford all 4 of these things you should defnitely buy Bandos. Of course, you could buy Dragon's worth (~8m) of Barrows (Guthan's Platebody, 300k, and Torag's Platelegs 500k) giving you 140 hours of combat with superior stats to Dragon without having to repair anything. If you were looking ahead to EoC, Bandos is currently tier level 75 armor, on par with Armadyl and Ganodermic and between Barrows and Nex gear while being non-degradable.

I've noticed that the bloom effects on one computer with completely identical settings (in RS) are more pronounced than on the other and cannot be seen through. In some instances, they're slightly ridiculous, such as fish bowls glowing brightly and appearing solid white when dropped (as opposed to minimal glow and natural transparency, on the first). How can I change these settings?
