AGH! This is a really really bad time for you to host this event :( I move into halls at uni on that day and things are gonna be mega hectic. If I can possibly attend the event then i will but i really don't know :( How serious are we taking this btw? Are we gonna have scoring and defence captains or just hope? BTW are we allowed to bring friends that arent part of the tif community but might have used tipit before or is that cheating? :P Also, be careful when you choose the world Zaid in case you accidentally pick a cw clan's homeworld :P P.S. I have 91 magic and had pretty much maxxed mage bonus. I used about 1800 fire bolts with the gaunts and got roughly 60k mage exp which is about 33k mage exp per 1k bolts. This was all vs steel dragons so may get different figures vs irons. What I did notice was that I was getting slower magic exp than I would from alching solidly and it was kinda boring. If I were you, if you havent already, I'd go use 10k casts or something and then decide whether you want to craft all those chaos runes. Also, are you sure you want to craft chaos runes rather than laws/deaths etc? You could get better rc exp than if you crafted chaos and you could sell the laws/deaths and buy chaos runes. You'd save alot of time this way. Hope this helped :D

Personally I like the look of the arcane and spectral shields :D As to whether the the DFS is better than the other two, I think we will only know once someone has actually tested them both to see how much damage is taken over a long period of time. Does anybody know whether these items can be lent out?

I mine gold at brimhaven and can get about 200 ores per hour which equates to about 80k (I don't sell my ores so I'm hoping theyr still 400gp ea :P). You could also mine pure essence, you could probably get up to 2k pess per hour depending on how many pouches you have available to you, but the mining experience is very low. As to granite, I'm not sure that granite is still selling since the update but it could still be worthwhile. Hope this helps. :)

Don't worry I have 1 summoning and have even done part of the wolf whistle quest (enough to get into the place beneath pickupstix house) and my tears do not train my summoning.

I've collected about 8000 casts for fire bolt which I will be using with chaos gauntlets. My magic level is currently 91 and I will have maxxed magic attack bonus excluding the third age magic amulet and barrows gloves. I would like to know how much magic exp I am likely to get from these 8000 casts as well as the loss per cast/per 1k casts and if anybody knows, how many casts it will probably take me to kill each iron/steel dragon. Also, would it be better for me to mage iron dragons or steel dragons (please give reasons). I know that I will probably lose alot more money than if meleeing/ranging the dragons but I have the runes available and I would like to use them. Thank you for any help you are able to give me.

I disagree, I ranged iron dragons at around 75 ranged (using a ranging potion) and I found I was killing them at a decent rate. Back then broad bolts werent out so I used emerald bolts (e) which poison for 6. If I were you I would definitely try ranging them as every one of my iron dragon trips was profitable (remember that since the dragons will not be meleeing you, you need no paryer potions). In response to your original question I would try out broad tipped bolts but also try emerald bolts to compare the two. I would also say that if you are tired of meleeing/maging the dragons then you should definitely give ranging a go as the profits are good and (in my opinion) the kills go quite fast.

As with the ancient 'ice spells' players have a few seconds after being released from the freeze before they can be frozen. This is how the mechanics of the game works and is unlikely to change because you're finding it too hard to kill a boss (no offence). The bosses in the GWD are meant to be hard as they can give great rewards when they are defeated and in my opinion you should be happy that you have the ability to freeze Zilyana at all without the use of ancients. Jagex would never change the mechanics of the game by allowing the zgs spec to stack for the reason you have stated as it would cause more harm than good and thw change you suggested is entirely unnecessary. Also, if the zgs spec was allowed to stack vs Zilyana then they would also stack throughout the rest of the game. Being frozen for 20 seconds at castle wars is bad enough but being frozen for 200 seconds (as has been suggested) would completely ruin the minigame.

In my opinion, which gosword is best for you depends greatly upon what you plan to do with it. Personally, I play castlewars alot so if I had a choice of any godsword I would choose the zamorak godsword. I think that I speak for the majority of regular cwers in saying this as the sara godsword has no use at cw and the bandos godsword has 100% drain and often hits 0s (in my experience). However the armadyl god sword would have a use as the ability to hit very high in order to KO the flagholder with the use of the two special attacks you get from the bar is very useful. However, as with the bandos godsword I tend to find that the ags tends to either hit very high or very low and I tend to find that the zgs special tends to succeed in the majority of situations, therefore making it more useful. As you can see the 'best' godsword to have is rather context sensitive and I would say that there is no definitive winner here, each godsword seems to have its use in a particular circumstance.

Aha thanks very much. I thought it must be able to splash otherwise it'd be unlike any other special in the game. I guess I was just unlucky that the guy's spec hit me each of the three times I left his base at castle wars :P If anyone else has anything else to add I'd be very grateful to hear your comments, especially as its currently technically 1-1 either way.

A quick question, I was wondering whether every time the zgs special attack was used, is the target always frozen regardless of whether the wielder hits or not? i.e. if somebody uses the zgs special on me, will it freeze me even if they hit a zero? Also, I assume that the best defence against this special attack is to use the protect from melee prayer rather than protect from magic (sorry if that sounds like a stupid question). I'd definitely be interested in going to a TET monsterhunting event. I've been to mass monster hunting events before, arranged by other fansites and they were always really fun :) Personally I find these kind of events very useful in order to get used to hunting a new type of monster. They're alot safer than going alone or with only a few friends and even though the split of the loots will be smaller, a 90m armadyl hilt split 30 ways is still easily gonna pay for your trip and a bit more :D

Basically when I'm moving my mouse about, the cursor keeps flying off the screen and will remain in the corner of the screen until I lift my mouse and move it again. However this is not a problem with the actual mouse because I have the same problem with another mouse and these mice both work fine with my other computer. If it helps, the computer which it is not working with is a six month old laptop running vista. This problem has only recently started happening and there was no problem for the first few months of use but recently I've been experiencing this problem more and more. Also, at least one of the mice is definitely compatible with vista so I don't think that is the problem. Please help, I'd be grateful for any feedback. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SOLVED I fixed it. I tried a third mousemat (one that wasnt so shiny this time) and this seems to have fixed the problem. :D

Just saw this at castlewars in world 157 or something :shock: This was the best pic I could get to fit them in but some of them were standing on each other. Apparently they were looking for elephants :P I was kinda glad they didn't come into the game to be honest.

You know you've been playing castlewars too much when you start right-clicking sheep to see their name and combat level.

This is slight guesswork but I heard that alot of people aren't selling 3a armour unless you buy their partyhat too etc. This is just what i gatheed from speaking to someone who wanted to buy third age legs to go with his outfit but was unable to buy unless he also bought other items (other 3a armour/partyhats as well).

I know you already mentioned this but it really is better just to buy them off the grand exchange. With the time you're taking to run to the general store and then back to the bank you could be making more money than you're saving by doing your best money-making method. If you want the magic exp then maybe consider humidify but otherwise its better to just buy them.
