Should F2P get skill capes?
Bah, you know what I really want to know? All "it's a benefit of members" aside, why not give F2P skill capes when they came out? I mean, does Jagex not view a 99 in F2P as an achievement?
-
Why can't F2P have...?
lolz i want them to make a full suit for a 99 skill. or better yet, with getting a trimmed cape, you get a full suit =] Okay, so Killtyrant, you've made your point... Are you going to sit on this thread all the time a new F2Per asks for something and make fun/put down/argue with everyone?

The treatment of F2P players
^ Agreed. We shouldn't be generalized and victimized just because a portion of us are immature noobs. There's also a portion of Members that are the same way. Whether or not you pay for a game does not entitle you to demean those who chose not to pay for it. As IeatWindex stated, paying for a game doesn't make you any better than those who don't. There's the odd one here and there that will demand for things. Hell, even I've asked for skill capes (and more bank space back in the day), but to tell us all that we are simply lesser (poor, lazy) people who shouldn't even get to play is wrong. I feel that the treatment of F2Per's from P2Per's (and vice-versa!) should be a reportable offense here if it's totally uncalled for flaming, because it's so damn rude and unnecessary.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
 Lumping merchants in with rwt and account scammers? Obviously the doochebags didn't suffer from these updates. Judging by your posts they're thriving! :D I already posted that I didn't mean it like that, so... Re-read my posts and tell me why you think they're thriving because of my posts? =\

Why does everyone hate F2P?
Of course they give stuff to members, they're the ones who pay for this game. I think p2p generally looks down on f2p because of the MANY threads like this, where f2p believes they should get something they do not pay for. They get the game as the free version, and they should be happy. They don't have to give ANYTHING for that version. Yet they complain. Still though, they shouldn't generalize us all in the "begging F2P" category. I mean, sure even I have posted that I think we should get skill capes, but there is a difference in F2Per's asking for things that would actually be useful for us and F2Per's asking for just things in general; "just for the hell of it".

Weird name? Why not a normal name?
While I hardly ever see a normal Human name around any MMO I play, I find it's entirely normal. I'm proud to have a found the unique name of Bloodkay, and It's mine alone, as no one else (that I've seen so far) is using it. So it's all mine and fits quite nicely into most MMO's and has received compliments too xD It's all personal taste~

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Ugh, one more Jagex hater gone, finally. Maybe we'll get some peace around the Rants section ;) NOT! Not every update caters to every player. Fat Klutz just proved it by bashing almost every update for the game that had come out in the last little while, proving that they weren't catered towards him because he finds them useless and therefor unnecessary. After about two pages of off-topic-ness... Anyone else thinks that Jagex released Summoning as a cover up for the removal of balanced trades? Cause you're dead wrong, I'd just like to throw that in there ;)

Edgeville....
Yeah, I miss the old Edgeville too, actually -_- Like the Yew cutting spot, I miss having that table sitting there so I could put stuff I got from randoms on there for the newbs~

MM Dungeon nerf was just a bug.
I don't get it? What are you ranting about here? =\
-
pathetic......
This topic is just a magnet for flamers. Why? Because you're being so dumb :P We all pretty much know the customer support for Jagex fails. We all know it's automated responses you get about 8/10 times you're reported. We all know that children like you can't find anything better to do than sit here and complain. Oops, sorry I let that slip, please don't report me

Why does everyone hate F2P?
I'm afraid I must agree with Qeltar here. Most of the things he says is true. Though I'm a pure F2Per, generally I don't go around being a complete noob to people, hence earning respect. Even here on the forums, I'll try to earn respect as long as others are willing to give it. I've rarely come across someone who hated me for being F2P, but rather for my ideas/thoughts here. Too true though, I do also see many a member bashing F2P for simple reasons like they don't pay, they shouldn't get to play, or receive updates and so on and so forth.

Why can't F2P have...?
Hey, we had a thread going on around here some time ago about how we should get more bank space, and lo and behold we got more bank space! So of course we'll start thinking "well if it's some use to us, why not ask for it? We may (and have, in the past) just get it!" I'd say we're allowed to ask for a few things, right? It's not being unreasonable to ask for things, even if we are F2P. It may not mean we'll get it for a while, or even ever, but there's still no harm in asking, therefor, there's no harm in this thread.

Update? I think not!
True, I don't think I could handle another cabbage change o_o I've seen 2 of the 3 changes already =(

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Jesus Fat, I didn't think that saying something about one little hidden poll would make you flip out on me so much. So um, what was the point of you going on about all the updates and how you feel about them? I mean, you're just proving my point that not every update caters to everyone, which for some reason you also said was true, but seemed angry about it all the same =\ Seriously man, you're confusing me. Do you even know what you're talking about anymore?
-
Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
They chose to hide it from us, so what? Does it really bother you that much that they decided to take down the poll? What the hell does that do to you, does it hurt you in any way by not knowing every single little thing? And of course Jagex does something wrong with every update. Wanna know why? Because no update caters to every single player out there. Even if there's only one player who disagrees with the update, it's considered "something wrong" by that person, isn't it? What really bothers many people are the players who hate Jagex, hate every single update they've done in a while, and hate the game now too yet they still keep playing.

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Absolutely it should matter. The Runescape community, as a whole, has a nasty habit of hating everything new that comes out, until several months later when they've all had a chance to try it out. I'll bet you my left foot that most of the people who said they didn't like Farming had not even tried it yet, or were simply trolling as many Runescaper's do. Adding on; if the poll were re-cast today, I'm fairly certain that many, many players would indeed say farming is at least "okay", because it really is a big money-maker on the right crops.

Is the 3k diference trade limit a good thing?
Nah, It's fine the way it is now. Cause if people bother to RWT, as pathetic as it already is, they can only trade 120k every hour, so it's pretty slow and that. Raising the bar would only raise the amount of RWTing going on again.

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
^ pretty much sums up the way I feel. Sure the game's not perfect. How can it be? Nothing is, not Jagex, no one. But coping with change is necessary to human happiness, isn't it? Don't you realize that if you don't move on from your constant rants about Jagex and how they took away your one fun thing from this game and that every single thing they do you see as some act of harm, that you'll never be happy?

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
What happens when you assume? You should know... I've been playing Runescape for four years this fall, want my original accounts name? Torksoul I know this game, I know all the changes that were made, big and small, I remember them since I've started playing. So don't worry about that. You want to know why they removed the ability to contact them? Because it's flamers and complainers that kept contacting them after the big Wilderness update that they had to remove it so that they'd stop getting hate mail. Now they chose to see what the players want through reviewing polls and the forums.

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
What poll about farming  You can't prove it was there, and I honestly don't remember it. So um... I still think you're all paranoid about Jagex when there's no need to be. Sure they lie about a few things like offense appeals. 1/10 the time they piss off the wrong person about that. This, on the other hand is different. Here, there is no evidence to say that they purposely released Summoning to cover up free trade. Wow, it happened around the same time, big deal. Doesn't automatically make it a cover-up. I can't believe how many people also think this way about Jagex and the Summoning release. That or you're all eatrunearrow on different accounts

Update? I think not!
Oh well =\ Jagex will change whatever they see fit, it's up to them and you'll just have to get used to it~ I didn't like how they changed the rocks in mining. But now I have to get used to it.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
Okay, I totally understand you now Madman. Sorry I wasn't getting it. But I still can't think that buying gold as good. It amounts to players being able to train their buy-able skills a lot faster than someone who can't buying gold, and therefor must make their money in-game slower than everyone else. A few buy-able skills and items can give advantages, and those advantages could prove to devalue the game for them. Like players buying high-end armor and weapons, which give them immediate advantages over other players who don't buy gold.

Lock this.
So now you abandon one topic and create another? Makoto has a point, why in God's name do you keep paying for a game you obviously no longer enjoy? Everything is dead to you. Yet you still see some point in coming here and ranting about it. I know you've got a right to, but if all you're going to get are comments like Makoto's and mine (and you know you will!) Then why even rant? To get your point across? It's been 7 months since the changes started happening. What exactly needs to be change with all those things? PvP will probably stay as it is now, and free trade will never come back. Same with Staking. Smithing, herblore, Runecrafting and Hunter, how were they ruined?
-
Jagex fanatics why come to rants forum?
We see the same counter-arguments being said over and over and over. So we'll just have to repeat over and over and over that you're wrong, that you should GTFO if you can't stand this game and what Jagex does with it, that you should stop complaining. We don't have a problem with people who have problems. We simply feel the need to totally wreck peoples stupid rants, as they seem to be the same things over and over again. Why come to the Rants section at all? You know that we dwell here, waiting to challenge your childish complaints.

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Oh, sorry, you must have missed the news post stating that they read suggestions and feedback from the forums. Here, let me refresh your memory. http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=1072 There's also this: Taken from the second batch release notes. It's all there, they stated that they took feedback from players. You know, suggestions? They've indeed been in touch with players' ideas. And of course it's a waste of money to train, and time consuming. A skill isn't supposed to be "Oh, well, I've paid an entire 10k for the skill and leveled to 99 in a few hours." Use your head. We should praise Jagex for being so in touch with the players, and using feedback. Because that's not what they've done in the past.
