Why can't F2P have...?
Of course, of course. The ONLY reason. Right. And now I'm sure you're going to say something along the lines of "They've paid of the dept to F2P, so don't expect anymore updates for a while yet"? Sorry if I seem hostile, but I've heard that one a thousand times before.

Weekly Poll: What web browser do you use?
Has anyone ever actually tried to get rid of IE? I can't seem to :x It's telling me it's removed from my computer, but somehow sneaks back on after every restart...

Weekly Poll: What web browser do you use?
Well with so many positive statements about Chrome, maybe I'll give it a go. Still, I'm all for Firefox.

Why can't F2P have...?
So what does everyone think of the newest Behind the scenes? I remember quite clearly numerous players stating that F2P probably won't get any more updates for a while (short of the Christmas Event), but we're also getting another quest AND more hair styles? I'm not complaining =D>

Nevermind~
Nevermind. The pop ups were from the windows launcher that I still had open. Firefox does not have these pop ups. Yet again doth Firefox saveth the day.
-
Nevermind~
I'm not. I use Firefox, forever and ever. <3 But I also use the Windows launcher to play. It doesn't matter what I use though, the pop up persists.

Nevermind~
So I get this pop up every so often (And it IS often!) when playing RS. And I've also noticed that many of the Ads at the top aren't displaying properly (perhaps they're the cause?). I really don't understand why I get it though, as my display drivers and ActiveX controls should all be either enabled and/or upgraded. And I've never even touched my Internet Options. I know that other people get this problem, as I've seen it on the RSOF, but nothing's ever been of any help. Feedback please? Fixed!:Just Use FireFox!

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Weird turkey glitch? I saw that there were no turkey's spawning in Falador or Lumbridge after a while. They all ended up south-west of Varock

I miss the old days/treat f2p better
I do have my spells of nostalgia here and there sometimes too. Like getting excited because I could finally mine Iron Ore or later when I could log in world 17 at the Edgeville Yews and find a good 10 people that knew me and welcomed me. But it's all changed, so I've had to live with it or quite simply stop playing. I think everyone should really live by this manner...

Why can't F2P have...?
Well, some F2Per's like to keep them. I for one like the different costumes, as they provide a bit of variety from what everyone else wheres (I hardly see anyone in Mime). But when I'm not skilling in them, they take up a hell of a lot of space. Why not Diango? We stores most of our Holiday items already, it wouldn't hurt to have him store our Random Event clothing too.

26th November 2008 - Thanksgiving 2008 Event
Whoa whoa whoa, let's not get into Race/Religion here, eh? I can only imagine the mess that would create... But I'm grateful F2P gets yet another update!

Should F2P get skill capes?
Welcome to Tip.it. Here we try not to flame on our first posts because it kinda makes us look like [wagon]. Clearly had you actually read through a bit of this topic you would've understood some of the arguments for this. Get over yourself, please. And try to be more courteous in the future.
-
Why can't F2P have...?
I agree. Until I actually get a 99 in a skill, I have no need for them. Something like a way to store our Random Event clothing would be much more appreciated.

Why can't F2P have...?
To show that they have a skill in 99?

No Customer Support
eatrunearrow always had a knack for posting topics that attract lots of flaming and little support for him, so I'll be nice to him for once and agree with him. While Jagex is doing everything they can, I'm sure, I think they could be doing MORE. For example, why open up a new gaming site a move a bunch of staff to FunORB when that staff could be QA or Customer support for Runescape? But of course, the real solution is to heighten the membership price by a bit and employ more people, even part-time. Though, if they DID allow for direct emailing to them, they'd get so much spam it'd be ridiculous. So I understand and agree with BOTH sides today.

Should F2P get skill capes?
People can mimic Quickchat responses when it comes to "My Level in..." I don't think a Quickchat icon shows up when saying so. As for the Hiscores, I know it's stupid, but many players would rather not spend time looking you up to see if you're telling the truth. Having something equipped to show that you have a 99 skill ends all arguments or suspicions that might arise, am I right?

100% f2p - an achievement?
I would think that as an achievement of sorts too. Many people would. What I'm trying to say is that many, many players see doing something difficult and obtaining great results is an achievement. And it doesn't have to be restricted to skills. For example, some would say obtaining a complete set of 3rd age armor from Treasure Trails is one. Or killing many Chompies to obtain multi-feathered headbands is another. Or obtaining 1000 diamonds through mining, or being a pure skiller, or simply maxing your skills, etc... It all depends on the individual players' point of view. Some may think some things are achievements while others don't see it like that. Wouldn't you agree?

Should F2P get skill capes?
Technically skill capes aren't "needed" in P2P either, going by your argument. Come on, all you people who say nay. It's not like they'd have the bonuses that P2P get. And it doesn't even have to be a cape. What about a shield or a shirt that shows everyone you've obtained a 99? Because, honestly, why not? A 99 in a skill is a 99 in a skill, pretty darn worthy to show others that you've dedicated yourself to the task. There's no real reason why any player should not be able to show they have a 99 in a skill.

100% f2p - an achievement?
I doubt that F2Per's actually state we're better than P2P because we're 100% F2P. And I have to say, that obtaining high levels in F2P is, in it's own way, an achievement. I do not think that simply being 100% F2P is an achievement. Why? Because (And I know it's been repeated a lot) we have limited ways to train our skills. It's more difficult to obtain higher levels, so of course we're going to imply that it's an achievement of some sort. And how can we not? P2P have many experience-rich opportunities because they pay for them, and F2P (for whatever reason they chose) don't have access to the easier ways to train common skills.

1 itemers in Pvp
Honestly, I can sentiment with you guys. But if you're willing to be on the PvP worlds, you should be willing to put up with people who 1 item, or who want to play their own way, or for your example Ultimatballr, jump in a interrupt your 1vs1. Sure it's annoying, but it's not like their doing anything wrong.

New PvP for low lvl f2p pures: Steaming pile of [cabbage].
I've never really PKed when the formal Wilderness had PvP, but I do remember how many Pker's took "honor" into account when Pking. Those days are gone, and you'll see a lot more of these "evaders" of course. You'll just have to take it as it comes, try your best to kill those who run before they can get away and if they do, suck in your gut and move on. Let's face it, they're probably on these to mess around and make a bit of cash, there's no way the "evaders" are taking this seriously, and so you shouldn't take them seriously. Try hanging around where there are no safe zones nearby, I've had luck there, even on your so-called "evaders".

New PvP for low lvl f2p pures: Steaming pile of [cabbage].
Remember: Everyone plays this game their own way. There's no rule to tell them they can't run away from others, so if they don't want to fight someone, they can run away. Maybe they're on the PvP worlds simply to kill lower levels, not get their [wagon] kicked by higher levels.

Call to Peace
Not exactly true. I mean, where would you be without many, many resources coming from F2P(Coal, Yews, Willows, Iron, etc)? We do more for the game than we're credited for...
