Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Inconveniences? Why sure, but they still have no obligation to tell you if they do not chose to. I don't see how it causes harm, though. Does it damage you or your account in any way? I don't think so. You chose how to use your time in Runescape, and if you fail to notice a change in the way you're say... training a skill, then it is your own fault, and not Jagex's. Seriously, you kind of people will take anything you think Jagex does wrong and blow it way out of proportion saying how it harms you or others or even that they're trying to cover their updates, which you regard as harmful mistakes too.

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Sure they could have, but what harm does it do to not release notes stating what they've updated? Players find out eventually, so it's not like these things go unnoticed.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
Dear god, I KNOW that it's about RWT, but the fact that Botting ties into RWTing is what I'm trying to discuss here. That Botting is what's devaluing the game for me, and Botting is DIRECTLY related to RWTing, that's already been established. Also, you know, the guidelines of Debate Club do say that we can go off on different matters as long as it stays inside the general area. Sure Botting and RWTing are two different things with different rules, but their RELATED, so it's definitely alright to talk about it~

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
^ Again, not reading our responses. Of course Jagex KNEW the skill was only half finished, they released it that way because they wanted player feed-back. Duh. They updated the skill along with adding another batch of creatures. This is the skill that Jagex has been most in touch with players' suggestions, so I thought you'd all be happy about it. Guess not. To eatrunearrow: Well, they don't have to signal to us with every little update they do, do they? There's been thousands of little hidden updates that go on, there's even a thread on them here. It's not like Jagex will post a new news post for every one, cause then there'd be thousands of news posts -_-

Why can't F2P have...?
Haha, too bad I don't spend my money on that crap. Same thing goes for anything. If I can get it for free, then why would I want to pay? This game offers a free portion, so I'd rather play that than pay for more content that I'll never need. I'd rather save that 5$ for more pressing matters in the future. We aren't DEMANDING it, we're simply suggesting that a piece of equipment that could show off our 99 skills in F2P would be appreciated. Not even a skill cape, per say. Maybe a shirt? Or shield?

Stages Of RuneScape noobification and will it ever stop?
^ I'd say that's more the case because the community isn't tight-knit anymore. No one knows each other, whereas in Classic you could log in and know 20 random people, right? It's the cheer volume of players, not the age of the players in your case.

Should F2P get skill capes?
Actually, members have the emotes too. We only get to watch. Still though, something to show off a 99 should be shared with the whole RS community, shouldn't it? I think everyone can agree on that. Sure members pay for stuff, but this is a different case, I'd say. This is people's hard work and dedication to a skill that we're talking about. Really now, if they released skill capes for F2P as well when they released them, how many P2Per's would complain? One or two "we pay, don't give F2P anything!!!" players, but that's all. I'm positive nearly everyone would have accepted it as normal.

Arrrgh, Macroers!
The update where when you made a new account, it did not have unbalanced trades. No one wanted to make a Bot after that, as they couldn't trade away money. All Jagex had to do was clean up the remaining bots as they made their last ditch attempt to sell their gold.

Jagex hiding mistakes with more updates.
Great, just great. More people who don't even read our responses to see out counter-arguments and decides to post away with no thought about the matter. There is NO cover-up! How can there be? So Jagex is ready to release Summoning around the same time as unbalanced trade removal (that's right, it's only around the same time as unbalanced trade removal, not the wilderness update!). That doesn't mean "Dear god people will hate us, so we'll cover it up with a half finished skill!"

Clan Chat Spammers
Gah, even all spamming in general is annoying. Everywhere that's populated will have spammers. I wish Jagex would implement an auto-mute program for anyone repeatedly saying a phrase every second. GAWD! -.-

Stages Of RuneScape noobification and will it ever stop?
^ Exactly. And some new players are pretty good at being new =| I know of a few people who were thrown into PvP and fared pretty well. Some people are just natural born killers. And skillers. And monster slayers. The point is, younger players DO cope with Runescape and it's many various things. Why was Runescape able to survive years ago if new and young players couldn't cope with it? They did, and just because Jagex decides to make the game a little easier on everyone, doesn't mean they're gearing it towards the young.

Quest chains....
I really see no debate in this, but anyways... I see nothing wrong with quest chains either. It's not like you must absolutely finish the chain right this instant, is it? Basically just re-read what a local guy said and that's my point of view~

The New Graphics update!!
Well, Jesus. You'd think they'd release a Beta or something to test it out?? Oh wait... THEY DID! They'll stabalize it once they have everything together. Big updates take time to smooth over!

How Jagex Customer Support failed me
Sad, but true Mott. It's really a no-win situation. I pity anyone who falls victim to such nonsense. Jagex states on their Rules board that "offensive" language is : They pretty much contradict themselves by asking not to say anything that someone might find offensive, as you've stated, pretty much anything can be considered offensive to someone. Even the word "noob", which, ironically, Jagex does not recognize as an offensive word because: I guess they miss the difference on "noob" and "newb or newbie"

Duel arena f2p? thanks for nothing.
You lost me. Nowhere did I say that I didn't want the Duel Arena. I couldn't care less if we had it or not, PvP is not my thing. I do realize that it's for F2Per's to duel for fun, did you not read my post?(again?) I said that it's to help us cope with the loss of Pking in the Wilderness, you know, friendly matches or not. And your phrase "Its not about making money, its about having FUN." totally confuses me. Where did I say anything about money? What the hell are you talking about? You completely missed the point of my post.

How Jagex Customer Support failed me
But how could Jagex know that they're your IRL friend? You should always keep the rules in mind, even when talking with a IRL friend. Think of it as etiquette training :P Just don't say anything remotely offensive to anyone, as you never know who's watching.

Duel arena f2p? thanks for nothing.
Totally not the reason they made it F2P, but if you're not going to read previous posts, you probably shouldn't be posting =\ They made it F2P to help us cope with the loss of Wilderness PKing.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
Okay, so are you ignoring all my posts on this matter? I'm not saying that Botting = RWTing, but just the opposite, that RWT = Botting. It's because MOST (not all) of the RWTer's collected their gold from resource-gathering Bots. How can you say the two are not interconnected?

Arvys13 1300 Total in F2P :)
^ I'd like to see that too ;) Awesome stats for F2P! Can't wait to get there myself one day  Good luck getting the rest of your possible total~

Should Gravestones be Changed?
I heard an interesting comment on Gravestones; that they are item sinkholes. The argument is that obviously Jagex knows people can lag out and die, thus losing their gravestones and items. This would in essence take out some items that can be expensive, therefor not bringing in more money into the game, or something like that. I kinda see the point there, but I'd still like to see gravestones that don't disappear when you log out.

The quest cape shattered my hopes.
I agree with the OP. I don't believe that Jagex should cater to only specific levels or groups of players. But I also don't think they should release a Quest that would require like 120+ combat either. A high-ish leveled quest here or there is good though, as it presents a challenge for many players and (should) entice lower leveled players with the Quest Cape to train a bit harder to attain it again. Really now, Jagex should give some of those more experienced players something to do in Quest form once in a while. I'm sure even they want a break from leveling too.

Stages Of RuneScape noobification and will it ever stop?
Oh, well, you know merchanting wasn't ever really an official part of Runescape. It was never officially recognized by Jagex. And merchanting is still possible, even with the G.E. You just need to keep an eye on prices of certain items. I think it's better for players who want to merchant, instead of the simple "Buying all deaths 200ea!" and then "Selling deaths 300ea!!" because this way you learn. I still don't agree with you calling it the "noobification of Runescape" either. It may be getting easier, but it's not catering specifically to children.

why the gold farmers themself arent responsible for RWT.
Why in gods name is this even allowed to be discussed? Gold farming Bots' main reason for existing was to trade all that wonderful gold and those items to a main account to sell for cash. RWTing, right there. Period. Jagex did what they could to try and stop it, it's going on a little bit with BH, but other than that, the whole buying Gold aspect is kinda dead, so shouldn't this topic be dead as well?

Stages Of RuneScape noobification and will it ever stop?
Taken from the Debate Club Rules thread... You know, the one no one bothers to read. You do not state actual facts, those are just estimates, guesses if you will. And you don't actually ask a debatable question. Because everyone knows that: A, It's not age or combat level who makes a noob, it's maturity. and B, While the Internet lives, there will always be immature people/players and therefor there will always be noobs. Again, this isn't even debatable. I'd suggest reformulating your question.

Real World Trading: Reasonable or not?
We've been through this already. It DOES affect the game. It affects other players with the fact that that money is gained from Botting (I stated my thoughts about that in my earlier post) and when they buy money to have their own kind of fun, they're supporting RWTer's and therefor the Botting won't stop. Bots would keep on coming to make money for these "legit players" wanting to have "legit fun". Botting is DIRECTLY related to RWTing, you can't deny that, right? So if Botting devalued the game, then RWT certainly does, as it is the main reason why there was Bots. I don't want people to not have fun, and I know many players have many different views on what's fun for them and not. But when their fun indirectly ruins mine (such as in this case), I'm prepared to say that RWTing is bad. Because I know I'm certainly not alone in how I look at it.
