You know, I think I'd be even more happy with the old mining animation rather than more exp per ore, like I said earlier. It just feels faster to mine stuff...
  2. I'd have to say that their usefulness to the game is on par. Fishing introduces food into the game for Cooking and combat whereas woodcutting introduces logs into the game for Firemaking and Fletching. Fletching itself is used (less often now) as a method to train Magic (alching).
  3. Well even if i wanted to go to a new game - I couldn't. I have dialup, because I live in the woods - not by choice. I dont't pk anyway so the whole BH thing does not bother me. I am just saying, that when the update did come out, I thought about what you said "switch to another game" - but as far as I know, no other mmorpg graphically good as rs (or better) could run on dialup. Just kinda proving a point, not everyone has open options to just "switch" game all of a sudden if they don't like how things are going. But like I said, personally I still love runescape because I don't ever really player kill. Okay, that's fine. But for the people who are actually capable of looking for a better game and would rather sit in RS and related forums to complain instead of looking for a better game defeats common sense. They don't enjoy the game anymore, because the Wildy is gone forever, so why not move on and leave the other players be? I'm sure there is a vast quantity or players who would gladly love to stop hearing about how the Wildy should come back.
  4. Deflation hurts the providers of said materials. You pay us less, thus we make less money (boohoo, right?). If I were into combat or skills the require more money than they make you, I'd be in the same boat as you guys. But I'm not, I'm into Woodcutting and Mining myself, always have been. I was never making any big cash back when bots were running the show, but now it seems that I've been cut a break. I said this before, the tables have turned. Before, it was everyone else who profited from lower prices in raw materials, and the gatherers who suffered because prices only got lower and lower. Now it's everyone else who suffers from high prices, and us gatherers who profit from it. Everyone was too dependent on bots, and yes this inflation isn't all good either. There should be balance in the end, or you'll all just have to get used to spending a lot or getting the stuff yourself :P
  5. I really just don't see the point in arguing over this though, because it was said the Wilderness will never be the same. Sure, you have the right to rant and whatever, but it's been about 7 months now, and people still haven't tried to find something else to do in RS besides complain. I do not understand why people feel the need to stick around solely to complain that they're not having fun anymore in RS. You'd think they'd at least try out other games, maybe there's one out there that has a similar PKing system? It helps everyone out... The RS players don't have to put up with pointless arguments and the PKer's can find a new game that they like.
  6. I like a lot of these ideas so far, but there's still one thing that is bothering me. After a while, there's going to be a whole bunch of keys floating around at a mediocre price (if they're sellable/buyable). How about, after a set amount of successful runs (where they kill the Titan and get a drop), the keys disintegrate (like charges)? That way, people won't be continuously killing it and flooding the market with more high-leveled items again. They'd all have to re-earn the keys to be able to do more runs again. Then again, this would encourage players to constantly kill the Gods even more, thus flooding the market further with even more high-leveled items from the GWD. Like the idea? Tweak it any way you wish to fit it in, if you like :P
  7. This topic died a long time before the forum failure. It's too bad you (^) missed out on all the lovely comments people had to say about those who won't get over it, about how you should all just accept that the Wilderness as you loved it is NEVER COMING BACK!! You really should just accept the inevitable, or quit. We like the latter option for you guys better...
  8. Finally =P Lol, good luck with your Firemaking goal!

Yeah, it'd be nice if they would give us a little more exp per ore mined, but I'm usually fine with coal mining.
  10. From my experience in F2P, woodcutting is way easier to gain levels and money than fishing. I don't really know about P2P though. Money is easily gained from yews, while F2P would have to fish lobbies and swordies, which takes a while to bank.
  11. Don't worry man. We all run into players like this, and it's perfectly normal. I mean, what kind of game doesn't have people calling you a noob for not being their level? Just feel good that you don't sink to their level to other players :D
  12. I can understand this, but this forum is only for Runescape rants, not Tip-it forum rants =\ http://forum.tip.it/viewforum.php?f=90 - Forum Updates and Suggestions.
  13. [hide=Blah blah blah quote from above] [/hide] I disagree with you thinking them good. While they did keep the prices down, it was totally unnatural. Bots were never meant to be a part of this game (cause, you know, it's cheating). And therefor the prices of any products that they've touched could be called unnatural too. Here we are, in an economy with little to no bots anymore, and *gasp!* people now have to work more for they're products, be that more money they need or the raw materials they've decided to gather. It's a little inflated, yes, but I still see it as how the economy was supposed to look like. And I'm sure the prices will settle down eventually. Bots were bad. Honest players are good. What more needs there to be? We all simply need to double our efforts to raise the money we need for whatever skills we want. A 99 was never meant to be easy.

I guess it's just expected. I mean, I've seen members saying how "F2P is just a demo" and "it opens up Runescape to members". Now we've got members complaining that F2P worlds get emptier while P2P worlds get fuller (A.K.A. complaining that too many F2Per's are joining members, perhaps)? Jesus, they don't give us a break ;) I don't really see this as a problem though. I love Mining and Woodcutting, and my homeworld has always been 17, no matter what. After it was named a BH world, more people came to it, which means the resources spawn faster, but the same number of people can usually be found around the yews =P You can use this concept on many "Themed" worlds at resource locations. I'm not complaining ;)
  15. Nice TT. Good luck with all your summer goals, you're in for a lot of work and hours! Don't give up! ^^
  16. Ah, okay I understand now. Maybe, yes, that could be their intention.
  17. A lot of parents would not be happy about it, cause suddenly their child has learned a few more words than they'd like. Jagex probably doesn't want to have to deal with hundreds of angry letters from parents. So why not keep it like it is? Sure it needs to be refined still, but they're not getting any angry letters about kids swearing are they?
  18. Woooo! Go Anti!!! Pure F2P rocks!!! Good luck in all your goals ^_^
  19. I'd like to know a few things... Like how do you know jagex doesn't like junk trading? Or that they've "always wanted rares unsellable" and that they see the G.E. as a success to having rares unsellable? I personally don't care that people are using junk items as currency. It seems more of a luxury to members to me, as we don't really have any F2P "junk" items. I guess people should just start demanding purely cash for what they're selling. I know I would ;)
  20. I agree. Talking about dictatorship and Satan and comparing them to Jagex is taking it too far. they seriously do not deserve this kind of flaming. Why in gods name would you even be playing this game still and using Runescape-related forums if you had such an intense hatred for Runescape and Jagex? I understand how people are mad, but seriously, no one really has any say in what Jagex decides to do with their game, right? People like that, especially ones with that kind of hate towards Jagex, need to quit or get over it.
  21. Bots are bad. Sure they lowered the price for raw materials, which allowed many people to train efficiently. But that had an impact on players who made their money from gathering as well. Now that they're (for the most part) gone, it's us gatherers who have the advantage by selling our resources at a higher price and the skillers who are at a loss because it costs them dearly. The removal of bots was a wonderful thing, and it returned Runescape to the way it was meant to be played: without cheating. Now everything is fair, you need to either pay for other peoples labor (which is more expensive), not a computers labor (which is less expensive), or gather the materials yourself.
  22. Here's Bloodkay, woodcutting =P
  23. I wish they would add like 5 yews to edgeville too =( Cause we get swamped sometimes there too. My solution, like others, is to simply hop worlds until you find a good one. Or find another monster to kill =P
  24. Nice bank, you're the envy of this F2Per
  25. Bloodkay replied to Mavric92's topic in Rants
Actually, Omali has a point. I can understand your situation, that you were provoked into saying that, but I can seriously point out several other threads that deal with people calling other people noobs. We don't really need a new thread every time someone wants to rant about Player A calling Player B a noob, etc... Should probably get a sticky for people calling other people noobs, just so that they can vent their frustration there and not everywhere here.
