Right away you can easily mine pure essence and get something like...what, 160k gp/hr? I don't recall exactly, but it's accessible to every member. Once you get more skills and cash you can do other things. (Tanning d'hides is more profitable, for example, but it requires some capital to invest.) You should do as many quests as you can. Almost all of them are worth it. Only a few aren't worth it, the most notable of which is probably Rat Catchers, which is insanely frustrating and long and has a lame reward. One series of quests that should be a very high priority is the Fairy Tale series. Lost City, Fairy Tale Part 1, and Fairy Tale Part 2. Lost City unlocks all of Zanaris and the dragon longsword and dagger. Part 1 unlocks magic secateurs. And if you start part 2 (you don't need all the skill requirements, you just need to have done part 1) then you can use the fairy rings, which are the most extensive transportation network in the game. You should also do Tears of Guthix as soon as you can, because the reward is insanely awesome. I'm afraid to name more, because I might not be able to stop. Smoking Kills, Troll Stronghold, Giant Dwarf, Fremennik Trials, Animal Magnetism, Icthlarin's Little Helper, Swan Song, Heroes Quest, In Aid of the Myreque...look, just do every quest, okay?

Luckily, they stop attacking you at combat 65 or higher. Then you can be safe. But anyway, the closest swordfish spot to a bank is the Fishing Guild, followed by Jatizso, followed by Catherby. Piscatoris is technically even closer than Jatizso and about equal to the Fishing Guild (people tend to forget that you can harpoon there too) but since you can't use your hands to fish them, and because it means you can already catch Monkfish, no real reason to harpoon there. Speaking of monkfish, you should put Swan Song on the very top of your to-do list, because catching monkfish is by far and away the best cash you can get from fishing. They have the same catchrate as lobsters, but they're 20 more experience than swordfish, and they sell for upwards of 400 gp each. It's a huge difference. And on a side note, fishing is not a very good moneymaker. Neither lobsters or swordfish are likely to break 100k gp/hr. So hopefully that's not your motivation. :
  3. There are very few items that you can actually alch at a profit, but occasionally some addy or rune items will actually profit if you can buy them at the minimum price. You can also consider it a profit if the item you're alching is virtually impossible to sell. (For example, if you got a bunch of rune javelins in a junk trade.) But for something like yew longs or d'hide bodies you're always going to lose. It doesn't matter if you bought it or made it yourself, because the Grand Exchange price is the same no matter where you got it.
  4. Okay then. I can confirm that as a false rumor. They only changed the animation. The actual speed of pickpocketing is still unchanged.
  5. Your fishing thing is wrong. It's more efficient to switch to monkfish at 62, then either switch to heavy rod fishing at 70 or keep doing monkfish. So: 1-20 whatever 20-62 fly fish 62-90 monkfish 90-99 heavy rod 90 is just an arbitrary almost-halfway number where you might switch methods. It could be anything above 70 depending how much profit you want. More profit, catch more monks. Less profit, catch fewer monks. And for woodcutting it should be 1-15 normal logs 15-30 oak logs 30-35 willow logs 35-99 teak logs or 60-99 yew logs or 58-99 eucalyptus logs No reason at all to chop maples with the logs at less than 50 gp each. It's pretty pathetic profit. Yews or eucalyptus are both far better. And teaks are faster exp than willows at any level where you can chop both, even taking into account the time to drop an inventory. Also 90 agility is a little late to start dorgesh-kaan. You could definitely go a few levels sooner. Mid-80s ought to be fine. Wildy is still probably faster than its alternatives for levels 48-60, but it would be advisable to switch to werewolf at 60 I think. Toy mice are no longer a viable method as they have been heavily nerfed. And for magic, high alchemy is the most common method, but that doesn't mean it's the best. There are lots of spells you could use that are cheaper or faster. Humidify is a great example of a good alternative. It's a little slower experience if you fill vials, but you get a substantial profit instead of a loss. For prayer, there's nothing really stopping you from recommending dragon bones for levels 1-20 as well. I mean you get those levels in one inventory of dragon bones, so it's not a big thing. For thieving, blackjacking bearded pollnivnian bandits is the best exp for 45-65, and blackjacking menaphite thugs is actually the fastest all the way to 91. (If you could get perfect rates with a lot of concentration, it would be even faster than plundering at 91 too...but that's tough.) For firemaking, you should just do maples 45-99. There's little reason to do anything else unless you have a very high income, in which case yews or eucalyptus are going to be more efficient. But there's pretty much nobody who will do better with willows, not with maples giving 50% faster experience for only 2m more.

  7. I don't respect people for achievements. I respect people for intelligence. If somebody gets 99 fishing by catching sharks, my reaction is more likely to be "Wow lol that was dumb," than "Wow that's incredible," because it shows that they don't really understand the value of time--they could have caught monkfish for the same amount of time and ended up with the same amount of money and a top 20 rank in fishing, but they chose to go the slow way, even though it had no advantages over a faster method. I would have more respect for a player who looked at all the fish they could catch, did tests on speed and profit per hour for all their options, and picked the one that was most efficient for a player of their income level. Doing something 100% f2p is a greater achievement in the sense that more time was spent on it, but if there wasn't any thought process behind it, it was still mindless clicking. The real achievement is in knowing what you're doing.
  8. It should be just over 30k exp/hr.
  9. Lobsters and swordfish are pretty bad cash. It would be very surprising if either one could top 100k gp/hr. I suggest picking a different skill for moneymaking.
  10. In f2p I used to wear the chicken suit. Old holiday items often make for good outfits.
  11. It's different for every skill, but all you need to do is go to the hiscores and type in "2,000,000" where it says "Search by rank."
  12. Hiding is fine l2p. Yeah, they're people, not training dummies...it's pretty stupid to expect them to stand still and let you pummel them when they're trying to play a minigame.
  13. There's some rarely-crowded fire giants in 2 different spots in the chaos tunnels that are very easy to get to. They're also multicombat, so you can use a familiar. You might get attacked by more than one at once, but that's easily solved by running behind one of them.
  14. No dice. Remote view is restricted to the outdoors.
  15. Many people dont have high enough magic lvl Well no duh many people don't have 96 magic.
  16. The lunar Catherby and Fishing Guild teleports are better than the modern magicks Camelot and Ardougne, and Explorer's Ring (3) and Ectophial are better than Kharyrll and Glory teleports from your house. Being on lunars also lets you use fertile soil instead of supercompost. The only trouble is after My Arm's Big Adventure when you want to teleport to Trollheim, and you'd need spellbook swap.
  17. I tried this after the graphical update and it was exactly the same...I didn't have any trouble at all getting in 2 pickpockets per knockout. I don't see how it's been ruined at all. The pickpocket is the same speed, it just changed the animation.

High attack levels are essential, because he runs away from you, so it's important that if you only get one hit, you make it count. You should also have a reasonable summoning level, because a familiar will automatically detect the mole's next position and start following it, which helps a lot...or so I've heard.
  19. Yes, it is very possible. What level should I begin Teaks? and I assume my only true option is to cut-and-drop unless you know a banking method? Teaks start being the fastest experience right at 35 as soon as you can chop them. And yeah you cut and drop. It's your decision which tree seeds you want to keep from your nests.
  20. For reference, here's the quote from the bts: That last bit is the part I like. "Rewards." Now we're talking.
  21. I disagree. I think that you should train on the barbarian agility course until you can go to the wilderness course. Slower than what, the brimhaven agility arena? That place is bad XP unless you turn in 1000 tickets at once, and I don't think that you would even need that much xp to get enough to get into the Wilderness Course. I hate Birmihaven so if you want some crazy head exp just try catching mice. (They are good for starting levels.) No they aren't. You fail mice a lot at low levels and even when you catch them they barely give any exp.
  22. Ok, do you know the best teak-cutting route for someone that has 10 HP and is very limited to the quests they're able to do? Tai Bwo Wannai is your best option. Jungle Potion is a lot more challenging for a level 3, but very possible. I personally know of several lv3 accounts that have completed not only Jungle Potion but Shilo Village.
