  1. The only good way to get junk is to have junk already. Trying to make your own is a waste of time, because you make less profit than if you did something that makes profit for real. The best way to get junk is to buy something in a junk trade or accumulate it by accident.
  2. You need 7.6m more exp. That's only 38 hours if you can make 200k exp/hr, which should be possible with plunder at 91, right? So if you played a 7-hour day then I guess sure.
  3. seeing as though i have 90 thief now, i'm sure i can handle the tedium Protip: 1-92 thieving is the same exp as 92-99 thieving. So you're almost halfway there! :P Not really, since the experience speeds up a lot once you hit 91...the second 6.5m exp is much faster.
  4. I was thinking that Brimhaven would be a convenient placement for tree runs. Take the charter ship from the Catherby fruit tree patch to Brimhaven fruit tree patch, and then you have quick access to the Grand Tree for your next patches. (And then you can balloon to the Taverley tree patch.)
  5. What's wrong with a going-away party? I'll tell you what's wrong. Nothing, that's what's wrong. Go ahead and have your fun. It's a big thing, and it's fine to celebrate it.
  6. I honestly had fun all the time chinning, AND bursting to 99 mage (presummoning, lol what a waste) Get over your ego trip and learn that people have different opinions, people thought Pest Control was fun, People thought pking was fun, people thought chinning was fun. You took this game too seriously when you decided to take such an attitude to how other players play a GAME a different way than you. That was a little rude, but I agree with you that it's silly how some people will automatically equate "efficient" with "boring." Which is more fun: trading blows one-on-one with a single yak, or hitting eight monkey zombies at once? I know which one I prefer.
  7. If you stick to that timetable... Monkfish: about 75 days (10-11 weeks) Heavy rod: about 45 days (6-8 weeks) Fly fish: about 55 days (7-9 weeks) Lobsters: about 4 months Swordfish: about 4 months Sharks: about 6 months
  8. You need about 12m exp to get to 99. The fastest way is heavy rod fishing, which will get you there in approximately 220-240 hours. You will make no profit, but you should get 75 agility, 76 strength, and maybe 80 cooking out of it. However, you will need maybe an hour or two of agility training to start. The next fastest is fly fishing at Shilo Village. It will take about 270-290 hours, and you will make about 9m gp profit. That's 50 hours longer for 9m gp, which has a time value of 180k gp/hr. So in order for Shilo to be a better choice than heavy rod fishing, you need to make more than 180k/hr, assuming you place no value on strength or agility experience. However, it would take about 35 hours just to get all that agility experience. If you take that into account, you only need to make over 110k gp/hr for Shilo not to be worth it. Since you can easily make more than that catching sharks at 99 fishing, you shouldn't be fly fishing. The other good method is catching monkfish. Judging by your stats, you haven't done Swan Song, so factoring the time to do the quest into my calculations, getting 99 at monkfish will take you 350-400 hours and will earn you about 44m gp. Compared to heavy rod fishing, that's an extra ~150 hours to get that 44m, or a value of about 300k gp/hr. If you make less than that, monkfish are an excellent option for you. (Yes, even though you haven't done the quest yet. The time it would take is miniscule compared to how much fishing you'll be doing anyway, and the time it would save you.) Some of the poorer options are lobsters. The have approximately the same catchrate as monkfish, but they're worth less money and less experience. You definitely should not catch lobsters because you don't want to take the time to do the quest, because the time you lose getting 30 xp and 100 gp less per fish is a lot more than the few hours it would take to get the prerequisites and kill the sea troll queen. Another one is sharks. Don't be fooled by the prospect of more money. The only reason you get more cash is because you need to fish for three times as long as if you caught monkfish. The actual profit is only maybe 120k gp/hr on average, which is nearly identical to that of monkfish. In fact, in the current market, monkfish are actually faster cash than sharks. Shark gloves are not worth the trouble either, as they can't even push the experience above 20k exp/hr, which still pales in comparison to monkfish. You should not catch sharks. And then there's swordfish. With swordfish gloves they approach the same experience rates as monkfish; however, they are still inferior (once again, even taking into account the time to do the quest). I don't know how many hours a day you play, but if you gave me a number I could tell you how many days each method would be likely to take you for 99.
  9. Closest fairy ring to a teleport is the slayer ring to rellekka. But the fastest way to get to Oo'glog is the lunar Catherby Teleport to the charter ship, which should cost less than 1k if you have a ring of charos (a) and completion of Cabin Fever. Failing that, I think the ectophial to the Phasmatys charter ship is the next-fastest way.
  10. Well actually teaks are faster than both.
  11. Drinking tea works for rooms. It's the crystal saw that doesn't.
  12. You should do lots and lots of quests, because they almost all have excellent rewards. Examples: -Lost city gives you access to the fairy city of Zanaris with its many useful features, as well as the dragon dagger and dragon longsword -Fairy Tale lets you use magic secateurs (valuable tool for farming herbs that lets you get lots of money) and fairy rings (the most extensive transportation system in the game.) -Recipe for Disaster, even if you only do the bare minimum of it, gives you access to the bank chest in Lumbridge basement. Further completion of it gradually lets you in on the best gloves in the game, as well as many other great rewards. -Recruitment Drive allows you to respawn in Falador and lets you wear Initiate Arour, which is like mithril but with a fat prayer boost. -Slug Menace lets you upgrade your Initiate armour to Proselyte, which is like adamant with an even fatter prayer boost. -Tears of Guthix lets you get a hefty chunk of free experience in your lowest skill, every week. -Grand Tree lets you use gnome gliders, in addition to a selection of other benefits. -Swan Song has daunting requirements, but it gives you access to monkfish, perhaps the best fish in the game. And as a side bonus, it lets you use bone seeds, which summon a skeleton to do a little dance for you. Great for parties. -Icthlarin's Little Helper lets you talk to cats and gives you access to Pyramid Plunder, the fastest thieving experience in the game at high levels. -The Feud teaches you how to knock people out to steal from them, the other fastest thieving exp at medium levels. -Throne of Miscellania and its sequel Royal Trouble gives you a kingdom full of workers ready to do your bidding, who will gather resources for you every day for a small fee. They charge much less than the grand exchange prices, so it's incredibly easy to flip them back for a large profit with little to no work. -Smoking Kills lets you access the awesomeness of slayer points, which give you enticing rewards for training your slayer skill. -Cold War lets you transform into a penguin. 'Nuff said, right? -Family Crest gives you access to gloves that help you very much in cooking fish, casting bolt spells, and getting fast smithing experience. -Death Plateau lets you wear Climbing Boots, which cost only 12 gp but give a +2 bonus to strength. -As a First Resort lets you use the Oo'Glog spa pools to get infinite run, increase your hp and prayer well above their usual maximum, and other such benefits. -Wolf Whistle and Druidic Ritual unlock the summoning and herblore skills, respectively. -Cabin Fever lets you access Mos Le'Harmless to kill lv35 snakes that drop snake hides worth 2k every kill, play the entertaining minigame Trouble Brewing, or kill Cave Horrors that drop valuable Black Masks occasionally. It also halves the cost of using a charter ship. -Desert Treasure unlocks the Ancient Magicks, full of powerful combat spells; Lunar Diplomacy unlocks Lunar Magicks, loaded with utility spells. Dream Mentor expands significantly on the Lunar spellbook. -In Aid of the Myreque and Darkness of Hallowvale let you play the Temple Trekking minigame, a combat-based adventure full of puzzles and unique enemies with valuable rewards, including lumberjack clothes that increase your woodcutting experience. -Heroes Quest gives you access to the Heroes Guild where you can fight a caged blue dragon, recharge amulets of glory, and mine high-level ores, including two runite rocks. It also lets you wield the dragon battleaxe and mace. -Legends Quest lets you use the Legends Guild, with a recharge for skills necklaces and combat bracelets, a dungeon with shadow warriors for training, and the inexpensive Legends Cape that gives +7 to all defences. -The Giant Dwarf lets you access Keldagrim, just for starting it, with a wide variety of shops that sell useful things, most notably the construction shop, which is the only place to get several items. Cmpletion of the quest lets you get gravestones that last 4 or 5 minutes before collapsing. -Ghosts Ahoy lets you use the ectophial, which gives unlimited free one-click teleports to Port Phasmatys--very handy for many things. -Horror from the Deep lets you use prayer books, which give +5 prayer and bonuses to attack and/or defence depending on the god they're aligned with, and can be wielded in the shield slot. -One Small Favour gives you a steel keyring where you can store all your keys in one slot. It also unlocks a new gnome glider route. -Enlightened Journey gives you access to balloons, which are great for crafting law runes, buying eyes of newt, training summoning, making planks, and farming. You also get to make origami balloons that you can let off wherever you want. -Priest in Peril unlocks the entire continent of Morytania, in all its spookiness. -My Arm's Big Adventure gives you an herb patch that's immune to disease, and has the best cutscenes out of any quest. You get to see the Drunken Dwarf get knocked off a cliff and then have his leg eaten by a troll. Sweet revenge! Look, I could go on and on (and as you can see I already have) but my point is you should do lots of quests.
  13. Cave horrors are nice too.
  14. Nah, they're for picking up hot things. Firebird feathers and rock cakes. And fighting the firey guy from Desert Treasure. Other than that, they're marginally better than leather gloves.
  15. I had a few hundred of them and it took a while, but they sold in the end.
  16. Well you wouldn't get in trouble for saying "Youtube" unless you gave the name of the video or said what to search for, so not a great example. :
  17. 13m exp in fm with maple logs should take roughly 85-90 hours and cost around 4m gp. I don't know how many fish you can cook per hour though.
  18. In fact, there are 3 different fishing spots in the wildy. Check your world map and see if you can find 'em all. :
  19. Which scrolls can you make that are worth significantly more than the pouch?
  20. If you feel like you've played f2p to its fullest extent, then it's a good time to subscribe and see the whole new world available to members.
  21. I found that I couldn't get the dung from the camels until after I was partway through My Arm's Big Adventure. (You need camel dung for fertilizer to make a new farming patch in that quest.) Have you done that?
  22. The trick is to drop the offcuts. Then you can use the roe and caviar for bait.
  23. It's absolutely ridiculous to be mad at someone who reported you for breaking the rules. If you really are violating the rules, then they were absolutely right. If you really aren't violating the rules, then you won't get punished for it anyway. And if you didn't break the rules and still got punished, then your complaint should be with Jagex's shoddy customer service that incompetently lets the punishment stand, not with whoever reported you. Instantly labeling anyone who reports as a "wannabe mod" is like being a little kid on a playground, taunting someone for being a "tattletale."
  24. I can't believe you made me do this, but... But let's get back to buying skills, shall we?
  25. I think that in order for the plant to move to the next gorwth stage it must be watered. That's obviously wrong, since I've grown loads of sweetcorn and strawberries and never ever watered them.
