What has Runescape taught you in rl?
I've learned that steel is made out of iron. :? I've also been prompted to learn more about eucalyptus trees from a friend in my clan who insisted that they were really called gum trees. I looked it up and apparently they're native to Australia, and many species are indeed referred to as gum trees. They were introduced to California around the time of the gold rush, which is why I see Australian trees around where I live.

Kent's guide to Summoning mastery! Bork
Sell them. You only get 8 shards from it, if I recall correctly. That's only 200 gp, which is less than the GE price.

Saif's now dead guide. R.I.P. amazing guide.
I figured this out too after I got my first slayer rings. I rubbed it and noticed that the Tarn's Lair option was there even though I hadn't done the miniquest. So I tried selecting it and it took me to the room right before the boss and I was like "Omg!" So I teleported back to the bank, geared up, and got my salve ammy enchanted. It was sweet. I strongly doubt that this is gonna get nerfed. If they moved the teleport to the beginning it would defeat the purpose, which is to get to the terror dogs that are otherwise a 10-minute walk from the nearest teleport. And if they made the miniquest a requirement...well they could, but they've already chosen not to, and I don't think anyone is complaining, right?

Peterpan538's Guide to Achieving the Skill Capes
Willows are not a good substitution for teaks, because the extra ~30 hours it takes to chop willows only gets you a mere ~3m gp, which is not nearly worth it. Anyway you could get the same xp rates as willows but more profit if you were to use the parcel service or duel rings/house teleports to bank teaks at Tai Bwo Wannai. Also, when I was chopping eucalyptus logs, I was getting almost the same experience, but with something like 90k gp/hr profit. Willows are definitely not an efficient option for woodcutting.

Smithing
Buy iron and coa and smelt steel bars. It's the most efficient way to train smithing in f2p unless you're fairly rich. You should check out Kn1gh7's smithing guide. It's pretty good. Link

I want a set of armor that can fit this.
Actually, this sounds like what you'd ask a smith who's making you a custom set of armour. :D Black d'hide is cheap, relatively light, and reasonably well-rounded with some defence against all forms of attack. It's not so hot against melee and range compared to other armour though. Verac's is good because it has high defence, a prayer boost, and the flail can cut through defence and protection prayers. It's a lot to risk in bounty hunter though.

ring of wealth or not?
I think you made that up. Ring of Wealth increases your odds of getting a rare drop. Dragon drops are considered rare. Therefore you have a better chance of getting a dragon item. If it's between wealth, life, and beacon, I would go with the wealth. If you're maging, the danger should be relatively low so long as you have a sturdy connection and you pay attention, so you should increase your odds of getting that visage/d legs/d skirt. If your connection is shakier though, ring of life is probably a better choice in case you disconnect. Beacon ring's bonus is too small to make as much a difference as the others.

Energy vs Weight
Well I didn't get the looping synched quite right, but the one on top is at 0 weight and the one on the bottom is -13. If you get the animations to start at the same time you can see them draining at the same rate.
-
Herb Droppers
The best herb droppers are Chaos Druids, Aberrant Spectres, and Banshees. Banshees don't drop as many herbs, but they drop large quantities of noted pure essence, which makes them just as profitable if not more so.
-
Energy vs Weight
That's funny, because I just did the same thing again with the ordinary ones and my run drained at the same rate for -8 and -3 kg.
-
Energy vs Weight
Negative weight drains at the same speed as 0 weight. I confirmed that when there was that bug that made spottier capes weigh -5 kg even when you're not wearing them. I ran with -90 kg and again with 0 kg and it was the same.

shades of mort'ton question
Well actually you can buy sacred oil on the grand exchange and bypass the minigame completely. But since you need to go to mort'ton anyway, you might as well bring a few materials and repair it a little instead, since you only need 1 key anyway.

Kent's guide to Summoning mastery! Bork
You can't do waterfiends or dust devils or rock lobsters or greater demons or whatever. So train slayer for charms. You can aim for 65 to kill dust devils.

WoodCutting
Actually, you are wrong. Last time I checked, it was random how many logs and how fast you go them. I remember reading that it does not matter if you have 99 or 75, it will be random. That's not true. It goes slightly faster at higher levels. However, even at 99, you're hard-pressed to get any decent amount of magic logs in a reasonable period of time. Although they are faster cash than yews, the difference in cash is very small, and at 99 woodcutting I can still make faster cash by mining pure essence than I can at chopping magic logs. So if you honestly don't care about woodcutting experience and you're just in it for the cash, then you shouldn't be woodcutting in the first place, because it really is slow money.

If you could delete any random event, what would it be?
Pinball is lame and needs to die. It takes to long and the rewards are junk. I don't like the maze either, but at least you get good stuff from it.

You Know That You Are A Runescape Geek When:
When you can tell apart the berserker, warrior, archer, and farseer helmets. (See the archer helm has the tall horns, and the farseer helm has the loopy horns, and the warrior helm has the wide horns, and the berserker helm is the other one.) When you can remember where all the ancient magicks teleport spells lead to. When you know more about the history of Morytania than you do about the topics you're covering in your history class. When you know exactly what level it takes to do anything without needing to check. (If you can tell me right now the cooking level you need to make toad crunchies, you win this category.) When your total experience hits 9 digits.

What do you wear when you want to look nice?
If you're interested in people's outfits, you should check out the Great Tip.It Picture. My outfit is in my avatar. The pole you see is my Lucky Shot flag that got cropped out for space. Yarr! If'n ye be wond'rin' how I lost me hands, yarr, 'tis a tragic tale. I had 95 fishin' ye see, an' I thought it'd be enough to catch me a shark or two with me bare hands. Close enough, aye? Nay. Me skills were enough to lure it to me arm, but not enough to wrestle the beast into me pack. I managed to slay the beast, but it took a piece o' me right arm with it. I was needin' a new hand o'course, so I dived into the sea an' I stole a claw from a crab. Well, that wasn't quite enough, because the next day I was standin' at a bank ye see. An' I thought might as well be gettin' some exp while I be here, so I pulled out me logs an' a knife. A sad mistake, laddy. Ever try holdin' a knife in a claw? I slipped an' I chopped off me other hand! The closest replacement I could be findin' was a sharp hook o' metal, so I made do with what I could, yarr. An' as if that weren't enough, the very next day I made me another accident. Fishin' again I was, an' I splashed a bit o' water in me eye. Well I wasn't used to me new hands quite yet, an' I tried to rub the water out. Learn from me errors, swabbies.

The most respectable 99s?
I rate respect on usefulness, or in other words, how jealous I am of it. None of them are hard, per se. It's almost all repetition of the same thing. And so here's my list. Top 10 Capes of Achievement: 1. Summoning. Definitely the skill most worth having at 99 in my book. Every single experience point is worth getting and it doesn't stop getting better until the very end. Steel Titan ftw. 99 Summoning shows very good taste in skills. 2. Runecrafting. It's true that it shows a lot of dedication because of the long time it takes, but it has the advantage of making you obscenely rich. And it's hard to argue that being obscenely rich isn't useful. 3. Slayer. It shows a well-rounded experience of the game, it tends to earn a lot of money on the way, and it generally represents maxed combat stats, which is a pretty big side advantage I think. And the black/red color looks hawt. 4. Herblore. Okay, it's not actually useful, but you need to be smart to train it properly. It takes shrewd analysis of shifting prices to pick the most efficient methods. 5. Farming. Again, it's not actually a hugely useful 99 since it stops so early on, but I like that it's mostly inaccessible to stupid people. They get stuck at "Wow this sucks it's boring standing around watching grass grow farming is lame" without realizing they're doing it wrong. And it's also the only skill that you can get to 99 without mindless grinding, which I like. Interestingly enough, a player who plays 1 hour a day can easily get 99 farming in the same time that a player who plays 4 hours a day can get 99 fishing. I consider that a good thing, since it gets you outside. 6. Magic. Sure the usefulness stops about 3m experience earlier than it ought to, but there are still some great perks to having 99 magic. Mostly it's because I'm jealous of Spellbook Swap. I want to be able to do all my farming runs on Lunars without needing to skip the Trollheim patch! 99 Magic isn't tough, but it shows good taste in skills. 8. Agility. I don't think it's very difficult to get, and restoring run energy a little faster isn't what I'd call the most useful ability. But I like the hopping on the poles thing. 9. Thieving. The skill is meh, but the purple and black cape looks sweet. 10. Quest points. Same reasons as slayer, except the cape doesn't look as cool imo. The reason I ranked it so much lower is because I view it as something I could easily do, and because it doesn't give +4 prayer like the other capes, so I'm not so jealous of it. One of the things that sets it apart is that you can't just get the cape and forget about it. If you stop doing quests, the cape rejects you for neglecting it and you stop being a Master Quester. It's not like other capes where you can be a Master Chef and then never cook again and keep your skillcape. Once a quest caper, always a quest caper, that's how it goes. I'm not jealous of the other capes, so there you go. My top 10.

Kent's guide to Summoning mastery! Bork
Thanks, but is it really worth the decreased chance of loot and the long trips to the mine? Or is it an alternative and not an revolutionary method. No idea. Just thought it ought to be mentioned.

Kent's guide to Summoning mastery! Bork
Tip for getting obsidian charms: After TokTz-Ket-Dill, you can access that little mine with the mithril and addy rocks, and inside there's some Tzhaar-Hur that you can kill. Normally you'd get piled by all the other guys for attacking them (Tzhaar-Hur is the lowest level one if you haven't memorized the Tzhaar class system) but here there aren't any other gys to pile you. So you can get the fastest Tzhaar kills and therefore, the fastest obsidian charms, right? Mhmm. And you can mine some addy while you're there too.
