  1. Penance might be decent if you have a divine spirit shield. 1. Lose prayer when you take damage 2. Regain prayer when you take damage 3. ??? 4. Profit! It also counters Smite in PvP. Equilibrium would give a minor boost to your DPS in slayer by cutting down on overkill. Also, it boosts the minimum hit of Dark Bow specs, for whatever that's worth.

ok, how do you do that, just go in the ge and start hollering, "gems for sale"?? I assume it's just for the lulz, not a real moneymaker.
  3. 4. As soon as possible is best. Ideally you'd get a small group of friends to team with. Don't be afraid to duo or trio if you can't find the full five. 5. Just do all the quests. Why not, right?
  4. The issue isn't so much that they're cheap marketing ploys so much as obvious marketing ploys. ...Okay, I'm splitting hairs. It's a fine article.
  5. To clarify, barehand fishing is the default if you have the level for it, but if you're carrying an actual harpoon, you'll use that instead.
  6. Congratulations, you beat the game. You should try a new game. There's a new Humble Bundle out right now, you know. You could go for 100% completion in Super Meat Boy.
  7. Cuz I don't really want to. :shades:
  8. Given current median prices, Broad arrows are the most efficient method if you make more than 3.4m gp/hr. At 1m, stringing yew or magic longbows is more efficient. (You can pretty much take your pick between the two, since 1m is the spot where they're about the same.) Oh, and currently, Diamond bolts would be even better if you can buy and sell the stuff at median price--I've never fletched those before, so I don't know how liquid they are.
  9. Kill a chinchompa to find the square where it respawns. Set your traps around that square.
  10. Which is true for baron sharks, but not regular sharks.
  11. Why would you even say that? Have you ever actually chopped yews? They're 100k gp/hr at 99 woodcutting. That's not a good moneymaker. And eucs are 125k, which is not a good moneymaker either. You would literally make more profit mining pure essence or picking flax.
  12. That and their explicitly saying at RuneFest that it's Bounty Hunter.
  13. It's not as if you unlock, like, any new resource dungeon or anything at 40. What's wrong with 39? Yeesh.
  14. You shouldn't be proud of winning that if you still train melee. :P Only reason I don't own it is that I've trained slayer maybe 10 hours since I got 99 summoning back in january. I sold my Bandos to fund the buyables. On the topic of auras... the only really worthwhile one still seems to be Jack of All Trades, which is disappointing. I was hoping for a permanent aura with little to no cool down this batch. If you just like the glow, you can get three auras and switch between them. *shrug*
  15. Yes, that would still be better than rocktails or fly fishing.
  16. Lower-level combat familiars are worth using too. Especially if your other combat stats are lower as well.
  17. High alchemy has a longer animation. It'll interrupt your fishing.
  18. How about you write an article about something different? We would love to have a different perspective. YOU (or any member of the editorial panel) could write one just the same, from a "hey, maybe the efficiency people aren't actually that bad" or "efficiency: here's why it's good" stance. Instead, the approach moving forward is to attack the topic with blinkers on. Your response puzzles me - as does Tripsis'. We are asked to provide praise or constructive criticism through these topics, and yet, instead of taking heed, it simply becomes a matter of "well, it's not our fault we repeat the same stuff with the same view, YOU should fix it, not us." Now, if you don't want to hear the criticism - or are going to treat it the same way - why exactly ask for opinions? "TipIt Times is now up. Here's the link" Lock thread. Surely you as a team, could look outside the tiny realm of OH METAGAMERS ARE BAD into other arenas. Heck, the creative pieces aren't repeating the same thing over and over, maybe, just maybe, if we have run out of topics and are resorting to repeating the same opinion, we should move solely to comics and creative pieces. So what you're saying is, if you don't have anything new, interesting, or constructive to say about this topic, why write articles about it?
  19. Well, the article was written by someone who pretty clearly didn't understand the topic very well. I think that much is abundantly transparent. It would be nice to see an article about efficiency from someone who knew what they were talking about, rather than knocking down strawmen. No offense meant, of course.
  20. It was a requirement for Defender of Varrock before it was removed, if I recall correctly?
  21. This was true in the past, but it has since been changed, and nowadays it does, as a matter of fact, increase the chance of specific items like hilts or godsword shards.
  22. Because it's a bug. /thread
  23. No. There are blank spots on the rare drop wheel that are just "You don't get any item this time"; the Ring of Wealth replaces some of those empty spots with things like uncut gems, and that's where the "good" items come from. This only happens when you get a drop from the rare drop wheel, and it only replaces drops where you would otherwise have gotten nothing at all. So don't worry, you aren't being secretly sabotaged by your Ring of Wealth. ;-)
  24. I just found out the same thing after a 6-snake event. Boo. It works on everything else in the minigame though.
