How do you know they have a higher fail rate? Seems much more likely that the fail rate would be based on the fail rates of the two types it combines, rather than being higher than both of them.

The only random I heard of taking away your runes is the pillory. Which I guess is cuz it doesn't teleport you to a special area, it teleports you to the cage in Varrock or Yanille or whatever. Presumably a bug.

This update might be nice for people who like to afktrain skills, but i despise this update. Runespan in a nutshell: 1: go to an empty world 2: find a spot with the highest level creature you can leech from 3: click on the creature 4: wait till he's dead 5: wait for the creature to respawn. There you go, repeat steps 3-5 a lot of times and you just got 99 rc. Fully afk-able and better xp than crafting bloods. They just made runecrafting like woodcutting and fishing, afk and level up. And you are not even crafting runes. While the skill is called runecrafting. Runecrafting used to be one of the hardest skills to level up, only the most dedicated people would eventually reach 99 and get that highly sought-after cape. That all has changed now. Why they made this update is beyond me. The lack of creativity in this runespan is painful to watch. This, in my opinion, is the worst update ever in runescape, including the removal of free trade and the squeal. I am extremely disappointed. Jagex, you just kicked runecrafting as a skill and everyone who liked to train it in the balls. I'm going back to crafting bloods with my lovely teletabs and morytania legs. Now, that is actually crafting runes. You can do it like that if you want, but the faster xp is to chase nodes instead of creatures, and find the wizards for xp bonuses.

Of course if both people do the 9-Rune Trick it won't matter.

It seems the creatures die after extracting 10 runes, but if you stop siphoning them the game forgets how many runes you've already taken. So if you re-click the esswraith every 9 runes, you'll never have to wait for respawns (assuming nobody else is siphoning the same one).

No one's said otherwise. And of course everyone at this point knows that there are people who simply aren't fully focused on efficiency. ;-) I'm just saying, I think the bigger draw is the increased yields. The possibility of disease prevention is an added bonus. If all Greenfingers did was prevent disease for 20 minutes, I certainly wouldn't have bought it at all, let alone invested in higher tiered versions. If T4 prevented disease for the full 80 minutes that would be insane. It would make every patch into a Trollheim patch.

*blinks slowly* Haha, it is a pretty big increase. Almost 19% more profit for torstols compared to the 4.6% profit increase for snapdragons. Torstol is also affected more by the reduced death rate because y'know, seeds worth 250-300k and all. :ugeek: Greenfingers is definitely worth it if you farm torstol. And if you don't currently farm torstol but think you might in the future, then you might as well get T1 Greenfingers in advance because why not.

Well of course it won't work. The big plot point in the quest is that a cabbage from Draynor Manor is the key ingredient in the evil witch's potion and any other cabbage will ruin it. The point of the question is what happens if you try to put a Draynor Manor cabbage in the potion anyway. I don't actually know. Good question.

Although the xp gets significantly better if you catch them both at the same time.

If you want to get a 99 that will improve your moneymaking abilities, you should go with combat skills. Summoning, magic, attack, defense, strength, whatever. You should also get prayer to 95 for turmoil, get herblore to 90-something for overloads, and get a quest cape. Herb farming is great but there's no real incentive to take it to 99, since it caps out at 85. Runecrafting is fine, I guess. Really? Really? Shame on you. None of these are good money. (Well, maybe grenwalls a little, I dunno.) ...Magic trees? Really? No, just...just no. Ew.

DF for Frost dragons as he mentioned. SGS retracted then. Nope. Super anti fires make it irrelevant in all but a few niche bossing but even there its never best in slot. DFS should be the best shield for wyverns if nothing else. I also use it against blue dragons because I don't want to waste super antifires on them. In general it is a pretty underwhelming piece of gear and not very important to any setup.

Blood Blitz's healing is more or less irrelevant against Vanstrom. He doesn't kill you by hitting you consistently until you run out of food. He kills you by doing a million gazillion damage in one shot and KO'ing you from 600 life. I died a bunch of times against him and it was never because I didn't have enough food--it was because I messed up dodging his attacks and got one-shotted.

You'll have to join a better clan, then.

Slayer-wise, Bonecrusher is for Dark Beasts, Suqahs, Terror Dogs, and Fire Giants. You can also use it for hunter, although that's not really very useful, and it's true that you can use it at Bandits, but they're not very good training anyway. Herbicide is for Abby Specs--handy there because it makes it much easier to manage drops when you're cannoning.
