  1. Pretty nerdy, with the occasional touch of hipster/skater/metal...ish. Mostly nerdy.
  2. I think people facepalmed at the mention of "toning"
  3. Nah, ye see most attacks which people on RS claim are DDoSes on 'Scape are in fact DoSes. Just because some 12 year olds download some progam from limewire or a torrent that claims it can Guarantee a DDoS attack they think that it actually it is. Little do they know that the standard PC does not have the processing power to DDoS because that requires a multitude of computers or a cabbage-load of processing power  Dk leaders being of an older generation and higher intellectual tier than these 12 year olds are actually aware of the difference and thought they'd be clever naming it DoS, thus other smart people can remark on it saying "ohicwatudidthere" that or it's a typo..... Although I do agree it'd be scarier!! DDOS's have nothing to do with processing power - the key difference between a DDOS and a DOS is that a DDOS is distributed, thus meaning it comes from many different locations and therefore harder to block.
  4. Oh, I use the hotmail deliberately for most online registrations - sending the spam there deliberately. My point was not that I get a lot of spam - it's that much of the spam comes from other hotmail accounts.
  5. The bottom line here is that jail is effective - somewhat. Like many others, you would prefer to stick to what you know, rather than trying to improve. In Canada, for example, there's a jail farm program - where inmates in high-security penitentiaries have to keep and care for farm animals daily. Despite the fact that this program is proven to lower risk of re-offending in criminals leaving the jail system, our amazing "Tough on Crime" conservative government scrapped it. I took a course last year on criminals, and their motives. My teacher was a correctional officer at maximum security facilities across the country. He too was an advocate of a pro-active solution in terms of crime - he saw every day the failures of our current system.
  6. Why? Hotmail is quite common with spammers and idiots (no offence if you have one). So is Gmail and Yahoo, no? They are common with spammers, but from what I've seen not near the volume of the spammers using hotmail. I think it's mostly due to them being much more on the ball with that sort of thing. At any rate, I've had my hotmail for years, and as a result it's all over the internet. I get up to 30 spam messages a day, and I've never seen any from gmail, only a few from yahoo. The huge majority are from hotmail or other sites.
  7. Good ol' truth right here. I've been on the 'net for 6 years now and I have NEVER gone to the extent of Jessie or similar occurrences. I did feel pretty bad the first couple of times I was either trolled or told harsh criticism but with a level head and a reasoning, you get over it. She's 11 years old. I don't know how much maturity(level head and reasoning) you can expect from someone of that age. She reacted in a typically naive fashion, with no regard or thought for consequences, because she isn't really old enough to understand. Once again, in that particular situation, the parents are to blame. Still she was camwhoring already. Better that something like that happens so she learns her lesson instead of it escalating. Her parents are to blame though. The Dad is just downright dumb. She made another video. That's pretty good proof that she won't learn without good parental guidance. And while I agree that kids will use the internet in this day and age, there's no good reason they need unsupervised internet access until they're older. For example, the only computer in my house with internet(Besides my computers which are in my room) is right in the middle of our house. You're free to use it but obviously there's a limit to what you can do with no privacy.
  8. I've always been under the impression they do it for the attention. If people were to stop creating these topics....
  9. She did, absolutely. My point is that she didn't know any better - if you do something like that at school the(consequences will never be the same) repercussions will be minimal, however the internet is a whole different ball game. That's why the onus is on her parents to make sure she is being treated in an age-appropriate manner. I mean, she made another video, still, after all the drama.
  10. I thought it was Chris Brown who said that...but she didn't listen :(
  11. Yeah Michael Cera is the same in every movie. He's like a young, Canadian Will Ferrel. Still, the movie looks decent. I'll probably go see it.

  13. Thanks for that Davis, I remember being really confused when I first tried out Blender, this is very useful :P
  14. I personally use the buff banner, I find it especially useful playing soldier as often times I don't die very quickly, and the buff is very useful.
  15. I don't know the intricacies of the situation, but this seems perfectly acceptable to me. Under no situation ever, should any public official use tax dollars for personal vacations. Mrs. Obama is no exception - so if she's really paid for this herself I wish her a happy holiday :P
  16. Pyro is definitely overrated. I wouldn't say sniper is though.

You could have a blood test done, to see if you have any deficiencies. Other than that, I'd say with a balanced diet (lots of fruit and vegetables) you most likely won't need more than a multivitamin.
  18. The only one that it makes the least bit of sense to block there is hotmail - as for the others, they're losing a huge chunk of users right there. Mailinator.com might work.
  19. I see what you're saying, definitely. I'd say no team needs more than one pyro at a time. Airblast can be incredibly useful though in certain situations. EDIT: Did this today
  20. Lol, jagex provides an API...yeah right. I believe they just parse the html, although Pure_mageUk would know for sure. EDIT: There you go: http://forum.tip.it/topic/231738-how-to-get-the-ge-price-of-an-item-using-php/page__p__3590538__fromsearch__1entry3590538
  21. Well, the Jessi Slaughter thing can be blamed on her parents, as no responsible parents should let their child have unsupervised internet access at that age. I don't know if you've read the "Lord of the Flies" but I see the internet as a modern-day equivalent. It shows how the majority of us are only held to standards by society, and use the anonymity the internet provides as a way to do things society would never accept.
  22. That could be your internet connection - have you noticed any problems with your internet while browsing, or streaming movies?
  23. I see many of those, and I enjoy them ever time.
  24. Just checked, and did so about 15 minutes ago. Didn't see anything. Toronto, Canada.
