  1. A safe pvp world would be a pvp world, except items are not lost on death(that is, assuming the cause of death was another player). Personally, I think it'd be great, all the fun of Safe FFA clanwars on a grand scale!
  2. Support, it really is a chore to always have a team cape at the ready.
  3. I think F2P needs teletabs. Or access to the Edge-GE shortcut. Thank you, and F2P already has tele-tabs, mind you, they can only teleport you to the Runecrafting Alters, but it beats nothing. I think that, skill capes should be available to anyone who put the time and effort into getting 99 in a stat, basically, make skill capes wearable in F2P.
  4. Uselessness of the broom what? I'm still busy loving Jagex for even giving F2P and additional quest this year(and ghoulash, not to mention the load of updates before that).
  5. F2P 'noobs' begging for updates? I think not. Take the time to look around. [hide=Pro Giving F2P More]Scootaboot-Not even listed on the highscores, can hardly speak for the real F2P community* IMSecure-P2P NinjaXrage-P2P *=Most folks like this quit after about a month[/hide] [hide=Anti Giving F2P More]Rustoid523-100% F2P zapps1-2 and a half years F2P NJE03-100% F2P Omali-P2P Ddraiggoch06-P2P Tard53-P2P Myself-100% F2P[/hide] Now, if you compare the two, you'll notice that the only people who actually support giving F2P updates, are a few members, and new F2P players. You'll also see that all those who are against giving F2P updates, are the long time F2P'ers(as compared to the ones who play for a month, demand more stuff, then quit) and members. Contrary to what many members such as Omali assume, not all F2P'ers are pathetic beggers who just keep wanting more.Next time, do you homework before you say something.
  6. Now, Omali, if you paid attention to details you would notice this; most F2P'ers who ask for these updates haven't usually spent more than about 4 months in the game(The person who posted the thread isn't even ranked). You'd also know that the long time F2P players and I, don't expect updates, but we have been very thankful for the recent abundance of updates. Also, you stated that F2P contributes nothing to Jagex's financially, not true. To quote a very accurate post from a Tip.it Mod: [hide=BlueLancer Wrote]Banner ads not just pay $$ whenever somebody views them, but Jagex also gets about $0.15-$0.40 commission every time someone clicks on them. Essentially f2p is not just a demo, every user makes some $ for Jagex without realizing it. Let's say a total of 900,000 unique people play F2P weekly (might be much more)... Out of those people, all view the banner ad, 3% click it. At $0.005 per view, Jagex gets $4500 per week from banner views, and even at the minimum click-payout ratio, $27,000 per week from clickthroughs (over $1M per year)[/hide]
  7. This year's Halloween event was great! I, as a F2P, was pleasantly surprised to learn that this year we'd be getting a new quest (temporarily F2P, but I still got to do it \ ) in addition to the usual Halloween event.
  8. Ok, first of all, I'd like to make this clear: It's Revenant not Reverents. Now, I read your entire wall of text, and what I interpreted was the following: A minigame where the player kills Revenants like he/she would normally, but simply with better drops, some of which is a form of currency which can be used to buy weapons, armour, prayers, and spells. I think a better alternative, is simply to make the drops of Revs better.
  9. This thread is packed full of Epic Failure. First of all, I think that anybody can see why capping a level at 30 in F2P is a bad idea. Also, since F2P is, in a sense, a trial for P2P, most people who joined would quit. New players, being ignorant, would assume that they could only talk in Quickchat, both F2P and P2P. Also, many players used F2P to 'get their legs', or in other words, get the levels they want before going into mems, capping the F2P limit at 30 would prevent that. Finally $20 a month for members(20x12=$240 a year)!? One of the reasons why Jagex has so many members, is because of Runescape's reasonable price. In comparison, both WoW and XBL don't even charge that price. Although, you do make a compelling point with the idea that only mems can speak freely; Subscribe now and you'll not only receive hundreds of quests, monsters, weapons, and armour, but the ability to talk! That's right, now you too can engage in basic text based conversations with other players!
  10. No, that would upset the F2P combat triangle. Also, as established earlier, F2P doesn't need anymore quests. If you're F2P, and you want more quests, go members, it's as simple as that. Also, why is this in the 'Debate' section? I think this should be in the 'Suggestions and Bugs' forum.
  11. I don't think that corrupt dragon is used enough to be an issue. If it were to become more common (Which I doubt will happen) then, maybe, but nonetheless, I don't think we need any corrupt mage/range items.
  12. Even then, members would still complain that F2P got something. That, and then range would definitely be overpowered in F2P.
  13. No, we don't need one. The majority of the longtime F2P'ers and I are happy with what we have. That, and a thousands of members would freak instantly and spam every forum in sight with F2P 'Scum' hate posts.
  14. Not true, after all, you got me! OT:Cockroaches are alright, but you can also cut yews, or fish for lobbies. Uhhh, no you can't. In F2P you can only mine regular rune essence.
  15. Give F2P yew bows? Maybe. Give F2P Rune Arrows? Never.
  16. I would say the fletching cape. Most of the high level mems gone F2P seem to wear it.
  17. Personally, I don't look down on any skillcapes. Worst I do is simply view the fletching cape as a regular cape.
  18. What's the best way to train range F2P? Bow?Monster?Ammo type?
  19. Support!
  20. This idea is ancient, but what the heck, support.
  21. If your suggesting giving F2P a spellbook, then I disagree. We don't need any updates for mage. It's fine how it is.
  22. Maybe they're training, that's what I've been doing.
  23. Right now, brooms are F2P items, but according to the Knowledge Base, the quest will becoming Members Only in 2 weeks, but does that mean that the broom will also become a P2P only item?(meaning that, like a skillcape, the item cannot be equipped/unequipped?)
  24. You complaining about the uselessness of the broom? Jagex gave us not just the Holiday event, nay, but a quest as well! It may be only for a limited time, but still. The fact the Jagex gave us(F2P) an additional quest(and it's rewards) was very generous! Don't complain about the useless of the broom, this quest is supposed to be members only, just be thankful we got the quest!
