  1. This is interesting, some of us are approaching the question with science, others with logic, yet most of us aren't actually approaching the question as it was designed; to force us to make decisions based on morality alone.
  2. Lol, Runescape rules in real life, enjoy your perm-mute.
  3. Actually, it's more like a potential... 300 people. Well, since were already dealing with extreme circumstances here, why not provide extreme responses? One woman might bring birth to 2 children, those 2 children could also eventually produce 4 more children (2 each), and so this chain of 'possible outcomes' continues, and out of this, it is possible that it could be infinite, just unlikely.
  4. Well, assuming that that scenario did happen, I'd let Jeff die, though not because I feel that destroying embryos is wrong(1*), but because by the time the new child is born, Jeff would have died anyways. 1*:By your logic, embryos are not yet born, and thus are not alive. Preventing birth isn't killing, but merely preventing birth. If you consider preventing birth to be killing, then if you kill a woman, you are killing a potentially infinite amount of people.
  5. Arguably, Mages can use even the highest level combat spells to their hearts content, all without using a single rune of their own.
  6. Never. Jagex programmed Runescape in Java, converting Runescape into a console game would mean Jagex would have to re-create Runescape from the ground up. I'll just name the most obvious problems. 1.Control Scheme: How would that even work? There aren't enough buttons on console controllers to fully adapt. Would Runescape become one of those, First Person Action RPG games? 2.Jagex and their rules: Even though Jagex probably wouldn't add voice detection, if they did, I'm sure we'd all be perm-muted in a matter of days.
  7. I'm F2P, so I'm unsure of how powerful enchanted bolts might be, however people can still use high powered melee weapons and magicks to their hearts content, so I don't see why it shouldn't be the same for range.

    Is Lying Okay?

"Okay" implies morality. Whether lying is "okay" or not, simply depends on whether the judge thinks it is, or isn't. Personally, I think that lying is fine, so long as the outcome (or at least intent) justifies the lying itself.
  9. And make (F2P) melee even more powerful? Besides, this would also mean making the "Lost City" quest F2P as well.
  10. Personally, I do not think that Jagex should make rune arrows and blue d'hide F2P. Right now we have green d'hide as F2P's best range armour, wearable at 40 range. The requirements for runite are similar, level 40 defense. Making blue d'hide F2P is, in a sense, giving F2P the next level of range armour, ignoring melee and mage(Mage in particular). If F2P should get anything new for ranged, I think that yew bows should be usable in F2P. Yew bows are usable at level 40 range, as rune weapons are usable at level 40 attack. As for GOP, I was also surprised when it was announced that GOP would be usable in F2P. If I'd have to guess any reason for that, I'd suppose it's Jagex trying to draw more attention to the runecrafting skill. IMO, F2P Runescape is fine as it is, except for one thing, skillcapes. That is perhaps the only thing that I want for F2P, the ability to use(not obtain) skillcapes. I think that anybody who has put the time, and effort into getting a 99 stat should be able to showcase that achievement, regardless of member status. This modification would mostly cater to ex-members who have earned, then obtained a skillcape, but then for whatever reason, had to go back to F2P.
  11. So, having emotes operated by items is an improvement over having regular emotes how? So, who says that just because an emote is operated by an item, it won't be just as "crummy and useless", and why will we use them more just because they're now items specific? I personally can't find any logic in your idea.
  12. No no no no, you're mis-interpreting this completely. The hot and cold messages from the imp are in on way whatsoever related to the city you happen to be in. The hot cold messages from the imp are based on whether you have moved closer or farther from Jack Frost's position. If it(the imp) says it's hot in a location, that does not mean that it's summer there! It simply means that Jack is nowhere near that location. Just so, if a location is cold, that does not mean it's Winter there, it simply means that Jack is near that location. Also, Jack's location isn't server based, it's random depending on the player. (I'm just theorizing this because while I was next to Jack, some players who had followed their friends could not see Jack.)
  13. The best (Best being most exp/p hour) monsters to train melee on in F2P are the Flesh Crawlers (3rd level of the SOS) and the Giant Spiders (4th Level of the SOS).
  14. I think rather than more bank space, I'd want Jagex to give us a way to store our Random Event clothing besides our bank. That'd open up a lot of space for the masses. Agreed, were it not for random event clothing, F2P would have more than enough bank space. Then again, it's arguable that we could just drop the random event clothing instead (That's what I do).
  15. TheDayRsDied, you seem confused. Runescape, is not dead, while it is true that many players quit with the removal of Wilderness Pking, and Free Trade, it is also true that in response, Jagex compensated by creating a slew of minigames available to both P2P, and F2P. With the addition of these new F2P minigames, new players can now get a sense of how minigames and their reward systems might work in other P2P minigames. Giving them a taste, and making them want more. This has attracted many new players to the game. You're also wrong about why you thought that Jagex removed Free Trade and Wilderness Pking. It was all to prevent Real World Traders, or RWT. RWT were horrific things that used bots to suck up resources and sell gold. Bots had a negative impact on the game, no argument about that, though this applies in particular to F2P worlds. Bots potentially ruined the Runescape experience for new members, sucking up yews, and spamming chats, scamming, and so on. Perhaps Jagex did do the update to 'shield' some of the more immature players, but that's only half of it. It's not just protecting some whiny players, it's protecting some whiny players that pay Jagex.Jagex, you see, is a business. RWT's were a threat to that income, and thus, Jagex removed them. Also, you claim that the risk aspect of the game is gone. I care to disagree. With the removal of Wilderness Pking, the first replacement that Jagex made was Bounty Hunter. Bounty Hunter is arguably the highest risk minigame yet. In many ways it simulates Wilderness Pking, for one thing, you can only fight players near your level, as the low, mid, and high craters do. You can attack players at anytime, and should you get a kill, or be killed, you will lose everything in your inventory. Now, I don't know about you, but in my opinion, that definitely isn't risky.
  16. 1.It's not just Runescape, it's the Internet in general. 2.Some people are just like that. Use the ignore list. I empty mine every so often, I don't usually meet anyone I've added to my ignore list more than twice. 3.Welcome to the Internet, no longer limited to smart people. 4.Most folks like that don't expect an actual argument, they just want to spur a response. Edit-- I noticed that you just added a picture, and I'd like to point a few things. 1. That wasn't Chinese. It was Spanish. 2. Chances are, that player did not speak English, and was unable to communicate properly.
  17. It's not just that. Making skill capes F2P will also allow members who earned a skill cape to use it in F2P. For example, say you're a member and you get 99 slayer, but then for some reason you have to cut off your membership. Now, since slayer is a difficult skill, you've of course spent many hours on this game and have subscribed for many months, but now your F2P, and just because you're no longer actively subscribing, you can't wear the skill cape that you worked so hard for? It's not just about F2P getting skill capes, it also benefits members who have earned a skill cape, and wish to use it if they go F2P for whatever reason.
  18. First and foremost, make sure that the 360 you're getting comes with a hardrive, very important. You don't want any of that Arcade crap. As for recommendations, I'll make a general list of games for offline, and online play. Reccomendations Bioshock (FPS with character building elements/Offline only) Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (First Person Action/RPG Offline only) Soul Calibur IV (Weapon fighting game/Xbox Live.) Halo 3 (FPS/Don't buy unless you plan to get Xbox Live) Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare (FPS/Again, value rests in it's online play) Call of Duty:World at War(See cod4) Fallout 3(FPS/RPG/Like Oblivion, in the future) Rainbow Six Vegas 2(FPS/Best played online) Fable 2(RPG/Online) Gears of War/Gears of War2(Shooter/Best played online) GTA IV(Grand Theft Auto, self explanatory/Online play) Orange Box(Includes 3 games/Half Life 2-Offline/Portal-Offline/Team Fortress 2-online) Those are some of the more popular games. You didn't really list any specific tastes, so I just listed a few of the more popular ones.
  19. [hide=Bioshock]Would you kindly?[/hide] [hide=Shadow of the Colossus]The ending, where the un-named main character gets consumed by Dormin, and becomes a baby...with horns.[/hide]
  20. Keep in mind they never mentioned those hair styles were gonna be avaliable for freeplay, although I agree that this year is great, and the holiday quests are excellent. :D so youre saying that the hairstyles will only be availble on P2P. In that case, how could you actually choose the new hairstyles when making a new character......... No, it's confirmed, the new hairstyles are available F2P.
