  1. If you've ever played FOG(Fist of Guthix) then you would know that you are supplied food, and a number of runes when you start the game. If you finish the game with any leftovers of what you were initially given, they are taken back. If you use melee in FOG, then no items are being lost. If you use mage, you are supplied runes. Now, if you were to use ranged, then you'd have to bring in your own arrows. Not only do you have to supply your own arrows, but should the arrows break in game, you don't get them back. Basically, for melee and mage users, FOG is 100% profit, but no necessarily so for those who use range. What I am proposing is that if you enter with you leave with . If it were to go into FOG with 50 adamant arrows, I used them up, then left the game, that I would get my 50 adamant arrows back. This way rangers can also go into FOG without worrying about cost issues. To summarize, you come out with what you came in with. Ideas? Thoughts? See any problems? Please post! 2. Alternatively, (assuming that this is about money) you could fish lobbies, or cut yews. When it comes to training, best places (F2P) are the spiders on the third SOS level, or the flesh crawlers on the second SOS level. Actually, when it comes to training, cockroaches aren't a very good choice, their def level is too high to train effectively(effective being the most exp per hour). Also, you left out lesser demons in Karamja (You can also find greater demons in the deep Wilderness, but revs seem to hang around there a lot).
  3. Banned for caring why he removed the binary code.
  4. No, I don't think that F2P should get fletching. While it is true that the other 2 forms of combat both have their own methods of creating related items, smithing requires 90+ to smith rune items and as for rune crafting, we are limited to the basic elemental runes, mind, and bodies. Which means we can only create runes that can cast up to 'Curse'. Any (F2P) spell after that forces us to buy the additional runes needed. So, I don't think that we need fletching. If you want arrow in F2P, just make some money and buy them. F2P didn't need it before, and we don't need it now. In addition to that, thousands of members would go crazy and spam every forum they could find with F2P hate posts.
  5. No, range is already powerful enough in F2P. A player with high level range using even adamant arrows can beat a player in full rune, rune arrows would be overkill. As for the yew bows, I'm on the fence with that one.
  6. The new dashboard is interesting, however I really don't like the new avatars, as stated above, they seem too much like the Wii Avatars.
  7. I'm going to respond to that with a quote.
  8. Nice guide, but I'm curious, who do the flesh crawlers compare to the Giant Spiders (Lv50) in the Third Level of the SOS?

  10. What? Were you not around for the removal of the Wilderness? Maybe you were, in which case perhaps you didn't notice that mems weren't the only ones to lose the Wilderness. The recent slew of F2P updates was Jagex's way of making it up to F2P(Members got it too, FOG,CW,etc). Which comes back to my answer. My favorite update F2p? The removal of the Wilderness Pking :o I was never a big pker, and thanks to the removal F2P received a ton of updates.
  11. It is useless. Like you said, this is Jagex attempting to give F2P a taste of what P2P has to offer, but their plan seems to have failed. Nobody buys the corrupt dragon, because it is essentially, pointless. I mean, sure you can go off and have increased accuracy and damage, but unless you get it as a drop, it really isn't worth the outrageous price tag associated with it.
  12. You'd be surprised. The only reason we got those updates, was because Jagex felt the need to make it up to all Runescape players after removing PVP from the Wilderness. (Jagex takes from F2P and P2P, Jagex gives back to F2P and P2P. You mems weren't the only people to lose the Wilderness.)
  13. Balazeal replied to dre2's topic in Rants
Wait, why do you even want the scepter? It's essentially useless. Sure, you can tele to Barbarian Village, or you could just walk there(the F2P is rather small, you could buy the runes necessary for a Varrock Tele then just walk to Barbarian Village, or you could even obtain Body Alter Tele Tabs and walk to Barbarian Village from there.
  14. This topic really interested me, so I actually ran a test. I ran 6 tests, each an hour long. Half of the time I used a str ammy, the other half of the time I used the power ammy. On average, the power ammy pulled in about 1k or so more exp per hour than the str ammy did. [hide=Data]Power Ammy-39285 Str Ammy-37896[/hide] Also, in F2P, if you have Rune Gauntlets, the str bonus combined with the power ammy's str allows you to hit as high as if you had a str ammy. So basically the best option is to use a power amulet with rune gauntlets. (I hit the same with the strength amulet as I did the power amulet so long as I had my rune gauntlets equipped. Power Amulet wins.
  15. If they are low level enough, just stand in the center and enjoy the easy charges. Then, when it's your turn, use the tele-orb, bind, then slice 'n' dice(preferably with a scimmy)!
  16. Actually, I was curious, I ran a test. In F2P, I went to the SOS, and trained on level 50 Giant Spiders for 6 hours. 3 hours with a scimmy, and the other 3 with a longsword. I measered the exp I got each hour and found that the scimmy brought in about 3-4k more per hour than the longsword did. So, basically, scimmy wins, at least in F2P anyway.
  17. The author isn't asking for anything, he's just being an idiot. Also, I think it's more accurate just to say that (sadly) many F2P'ers are idiots. Luckily though, most people like that wind up quitting in a matter of months...only to be replaced by more.
  18. I think your rant would be more accurate if titled 'Dragon Platebody (Why doesn't it exist yet?) As stated a few times by those before me, Jagex has been releasing the dragon items one by one, so it's only a matter of time. So, while you're waiting, you can always enjoy the wonderful Dragon styled Kites and Spinning Plates from Diango.
  19. While I strongly support Skill Capes being available to anyone who earned a 99 stat, dumblikeafox does bring up an interesting point, skill capes do give a significant defense bonus (significant in F2P anyway). Although, he used the example of a lv3 skiller, what damage would that do at most? I'm sure that any skiller with a 99stat could make more money performing his/her skill than using it in bounty hunter(Also, I'm not sure how much they would 'own' considering that they're level 3.)
  20. Support 100%! I especially like the idea of Safe PVP worlds, all the fun of Safe FFA Clanwars across all of Runescape!
  21. Support, I can't even begin to imagine who many hours I've spent in this game.
  22. I don't think that random weapon speeds should be added, I think that would add to much of a 'luck' aspect to combat. I've seen vids of P2P players pking, and it seems enough to not know weather your opponent's gonna spring out a godsword or dark bow and spec ya. As for the 'Damage Modifiers Based on Angle of Attack' idea, I'm rather on the fence with that. For PVP, it'd be interesting, but at the same time if you do x2 damage from the back, then you could easily 1hit KO someone with a AGS spec from behind.
