Thieving wouldn't cost you anything if you were to use pyramid plunder and it will be 150k+ xp/hour. That would probably be your best choice if you don't have any money. If you do have some, get either 99 fletching, cooking or firemaking. Those are cheap and fast. May I ask why you want a skillcape? Don't do it to earn respect.

No, you have to get the tickets and you can only get 60 of those max per hour, less if you mess up. Not worth it except at lower levels (40-52).

That's gambling 10 cactus spines against a whole yew seed AND a day's worth of yew tree exp. A poor gamble in my opinion. Just pay him. It is not better to pay him if you're not in a hurry. On average, 1/8 yew trees die with compost. Total cost: 480k for 49k xp. If you pay the farmer, all trees will live. Total cost: 720k for 56k xp. Seriously, it's not worth it. You could buy 4 yew seeds with the money you saved.

It also depends on the herb. I get 5-8 most of the time when I grow snapdragons, but dwarf weeds usually give me 7-9 herbs on average. My max is 18 snaps, that was when snaps still were a bit higher than they are now. Over 110k profit :shock:.

I have composted them for a while, and I did notice a change in the growth times. Most of the time they're done after 14.6 hours if you compost them. I've stopped composting though, because I don't need them to be done growing that fast. I just do my tree run every 24 hours and even if I don't compost them they're ready every time.

That's very true, but bringing alone super defence pots\Excalibur can take care of a lot of that. You will be OWNING them with a huge range bonus, rune knives, and +10% pray, getting you tons of bones. Lower defence could swap out a g shield\zammy d hide top, but I don't see it that necessary. Other then that, anyone with 70+ range or defence should be able to use it. Hmm, that doesn't sound all that bad. I may have to try that, they shouldn't hit me a lot with bunyip+b2p+excalibur. I have a few questions though. Do you kill them inside or outside the fortress? If you kill them outside, do you hop a lot for an empty world or do you just outhit them? Also, would obby rings be better than rune knives? They seem good to me, but I have no idea if they're actually buyable.

Since everyone is doing it, my setup. Compfreak's setup is also very good, but it requires quite high range/defence levels. If low on cash, use the setup posted earlier in this thread without the ranger boots.

Sell the spines, yews are not worth paying for. On average, 1/8 yew trees die. You're basically paying 200k in spines to make sure all 8 trees live, while you could have bought 3 extra yew seeds with the money you saved on not paying the farmer. If you're not in a hurry, don't pay for the yews. I personally plant dwarf weeds, pineapple trees and calquats. I still have about 20 calquats saplings left, I bought them when they were like 15k each. I will probably stop planting once I run out of saplings, the prices for calquat seeds are ridiculous. I'd recommend you plant either kwuarms, snapdragons or dwarf weeds. Those give profit and nice herblore xp. I did kwuarms back when you didn't profit from dwarf weeds/ranging potions, but nowI like dwarf weeds best. I get about 7k xp/run which is quite good, and with the current range potion prices they even make about 8k profit/patch. I wouldn't plant normal trees. I don't do willows because they're like a herb run that doesn't make you money, and I don't plant maples/yews because I don't have money to spend. You can plant them if you want. Pineapples are a good fruit tree to plant, average xp and very cheap. Pay the farmer, the payment is only 10 watermelons.

Good idea. I'd recommend doing aviansies 77-85, then chin 85-90. More teams will accept you if you have 90 range and you'll hit better.

Just use whip on controlled, beats using a d scim for str.
