Indeed. Read a guide. And buy a better weapon. And don't kill them in the chaos tunnels. The best weapon if you're worried about money is the zamorakian spear. Karils is way better than d'hide.

Bunyip would be overkill, a few monkfish would do it I guess. Not trashing your thoughts or anything, but I find a Bunyip the perfect familiar for this task. I slay in the Chaos Tunnels and with 94 defence occasionally I get hit with a 10 or an 11. The Bunyip's healing effect is perfect to cover the damage. I do however bring along 4 or 5 pineapple pizzas, more as a luxury than a necessity though. If you're wearing top-notch armor, instead I would say bring a Combat Familiar to help you get faster kills. Hope I was of some help. A bunyip is indeed great if you're melee'ing. But not while ranging, you just don't take enough damage.

Make steel plates yourself from coal and iron, to bars to plates. Buy nats and theres a profit. 2 x coal + 1 iron ore = 1 steel bar 2 x 180 + 90 = 450 coins per steel bar steel bar x 5 + nature rune = cost to alch 2250 + 250 = 2,500 coins to alch 1,200 per alch. 1,300 coins lost per plate. You could first: mine coal and iron make into bars smith alch you'd get a profit on that, but just alching from bar state will lose you money. He could have sold the bars for more profit. So, making the platebodies loses him money. And alching does too.

This is a great method to get junk. :thumbup:

It is. I believe there are some safespots in both the slayer tower and the chaos tunnels (sometimes when I use my hally specs they get stuck and don't hit me. I bet you could use those spots to range them). You'd still have to smack them with your rock hammer though, so they may hit you once or twice.

Don't pay farmers for yews. Pineapples + 10 watermelons, about 11k for 4,5k xp. Very cheap and still quite fast. Calquats used to be like this, but now they're more like a cheap yew tree.

The +19 slash bonus and +5 str from the rune defender is better than the +7 str the Dfs gives.

Lol, your figures are off by a factor 10. It's 52,4 hours, not 524. If the difference is really 10%, you're still saving 5 hours by using the ss instead of scimmy+defender. I guess the ss would drop about 2m max in the time you're using it, after that you can resell it. So, the question is, is saving 5 hours worth 2m? I'd say yes. And yes, just bring some food to your slayer task and use a rune defender instead, if you are going to use the dragon scimmy. I'd recommend the ss though.
