  1. I wonder how many Borats are going to be assaulting RuneScape now... The diaries are returning to their former glory now. Nice to see something that takes more than two minutes to read, plus some nice visuals. Keep it up, Jagex. Don't really think some players will use this to it's full potential, due to the Spirit Terrorbird. It might speed up skills like Mining & Runecraftin though. Have to wait & see.
  2. A few months ago when Gertjaars was training Herblore on World 145, I caught a couple of glimpses at him at the GE & once we were both going on the same Farming route.
  3. They redid the tracks a while ago, to make them sound less PacMan-ish. It's pretty decent for music coming from a game, that's all I can say.
  4. Armadyl. It looks awesome. Period.
  5. RuneScape is an RPG, & in the case of most RPG's, the main character (in an MMO's case, the consumer's character), is usually the protagonist. I am 98% sure that our character will have a major role in the resurrection of Zaros. Ultimately, the final part of the quest line involving Zaro would force the player to stop his resurrection or defeat him after his resurrection. The reason for that is due to the fact that most quests force our players to choose a 'good' alignment, while very few allow us to choose our own path (Eg. Temple of Ikov; help Lucien get the Staff of Armadyl or defeat him instead). Of course, this is all to be decided, & my opinions aren't exactly backed up by too much evidence other than the game itself. If the Zarosian Mahjarrat do become successful in resurrecting Zaros, I'm pretty sure he'd have Guthix to deal with, as Zaros' arrival would be one of the most imbalanced things to happen in the Age, & we all know the math; Guthix > Imbalance. We aren't exactly directly helping Zaros in his return, more or so helping the Mahjarrat rise once again & letting their actions pave the way. I think we are merely tools in this storyline, as the Mahjarrat certainly influence it more than we do.
  6. While seeing pictures of the old style monsters does bring back memories, I don't think any of the graphically updated monsters I've seen so far look worse than their old-school counterpart.
  7. Puzzles!? Sad face. Puzzle quests are so dull (to me). Hope it doesn't turn into a 'trend' with this storyline. Then again I haven't done the quest yet, so it might actually be fun. What does that mean? Does Zanik's Crossbow count as a Bandos item in the God Wars Dungeon? Or is it just some prayer bonus bug..
  8. A quest is a quest. \ Besides, Fremennik quests are awesome. Didn't think there would be another Fremennik quest so soon after Glorious Memories, but I'm happy.
  9. RS front page updated. (Been a looong wait :P ) Guess the "kids up North" was referring to a Fremennik quest. Guess most of us looked too far up north. But who would have thought another Fremmy quest would have been released so quickly after Glorious Memories? Oh well, quest guide pl0x.
  10. From random sources, I gather that this will favour those waiting for the sequel to WGS. I'd much rather prefer a continuation from Cold War, because that storyline isn't spammed with lores about gods. However, who's to say my sources are right..? Chances are equally as good it will be Penguins (+1).

    Today...

Going to see Mall Cop today with a couple of friends. Looks like a laugh. \
  12. If I lived above the equator I would.. They've got a killer line up. :?
  13. It is extremely easy to poison two thirds of a city's food supply, with nobody being any the wiser. [Mournings Ends Part I] Even in medieval times, you could still bomb people. [Regicide] If I wear jewelry it wont hurt as much when I get punched in the face. (+1 defence bonus ftw)
  14. ...If I was willing to risk brain damage. :twss:
  15. > 3 < The mass amount of noobs these days are irritating, but I find pleasure making fun of them with my friends in chats & stuff. I only came around to this game in period #2, & I barely ever logged on. Nowadays, I understand more about the game, & knowing this is comforting.
  16. Had a mouth-foaming fail the other day. I had a Turoth task, & mistook Excalibur for the Leaf-Bladed Sword. I was hitting 0's on this thing for two minutes until I realized that the 'Sword' had a Special Bar. My mouth started to foam like I had rabies.
  17. Meteora, an NPC on Lunar Island, was named after rock formations in Greece, where ancient temples were built. Or maybe the people in charge of creating Lunar Island were Linkin Park fans, & decided to name an NPC after one of their albums in honor of them (I know I would).
  18. I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like Tip.its' reputation is going to go down the toilet just because Siobhana's introduction was shorter than Snake1235's. Personally, I'd rather join the community which was represented by someone with a nice, clean name, rather than someone with a string of numbers at the end.
  19. This doesn't really affect me, but diversity is good, yah? I could really use a South African slang forum.
  20. I doubt planting carrots would be any more exciting than planting watermelons. :D "the person that was in charge of the farming update" Happened to be a team of developers, & I think they did a lot more than a half-[wagon] job. Everything in Farming is done the same way. Plant it & wait. The only variety in content you would get if they were to add more things to grow would be experience. Assuming that's what you want; I'm not too concerned with Farming being the way it is now. What challenge were you looking for precisely? I don't see how planting the highest level tree would be more challenging than planting cabbages. In response to the title.. Nothing is up with Farming. It is one of the 24 trainable skills, & it was released sometime during 2005. Closest thing to 'up', I'd say. :P Edit: Btw, Welcome to the TIF.
  21. I know what you mean, & I agree (to an extent). I haven't been part of the TIF for long, & I usually take really long breaks from it. Perhaps it's just the internet rubbing of on the TIF, where everyone is constantly at each others throats (I call it the Counter Strike Effect). Some people like to belittle others to make themselves feel intelligent, or big. I'll be a monkeys uncle if somebody doesn't quote this & states how all my opinions are worthless. Maybe it's just a temporary stage, & it will all go away someday, then I wont have to carefully word every post so the trolls don't have an excuse to flame me.
  22. 89% of the internet are idiots. Period. -.-
  23. This Diary definitely wipes the floor compared to the recent ones. The concept of Zanaris looks amazing, I can't wait to see its' rendered 3D counterpart. Very good read, & I can't wait for Fairy Tale Part III.
  24. Well written guide, & I am pleased with the Exp/h & money/h. I'll give it a try once I've finished all my current goals.
