  1. Yeah. Saves me from making hundreds of trips to the bank when I just know what to bring beforehand.
  2. Party Hat Duplication Day - Enjoyed this. I'll look like a nut for saying this, but I kind of admire the person who found out about duplicating. Not because he is the source of the extra thousands of party hats in the game, but because he shared his story, & he did it well (he's got a lot of guts, I guess). Pescaling Schmeskaling - Mm... all that bank fraud business was a joke, right? I threw my card away a few months after I finished Cold War, & I don't think the writer assumed we all kept it in the bank. I think those of you that kept the cards only lost them because you were going to get them back anyway. However, I agree with the fact that the Penguin Mafia is a much greater threat than The Pescaling. Jagex Got Hip - The term "spoon fed" is so overused... Just because we know what's going to happen before content comes out, doesn't necessarily mean we wont enjoy it; Plus, there's always things you don't know until the content itself comes out. I'm happy with Jagex reaching out though.
  3. Well said. Enjoy your stay.
  4. The Tooth Fairy. Damn, you beat me to it. : As for the boss fight, possibly a similar battle between you & Zanik versus Bandos Avatar? Of course, in this case, Zanik could be replaced by hundreds of resisting fairies. The boss itself could be the Fairy Grandfather aided by those Orks wandering around Zanaris. From the diary, it sounds like it's going to be unique, can't wait to try it out. :)
  5. Oh dear, I've startled somebody. Ever heard of a hyperbole? (& I'm sure you were aware of the fact that I was exaggerating.) Of course I don't enforce my comment in a literal sense, but has this become a place where I have to explain every single little detail of my input, just so people don't find it necessary to use me as an example of something they don't support? I'll pass. It's extremely obvious that I support the article, & I use it as a justification for what I post in this topic; so I don't understand why you would lead yourself to believe that I'm using a "I'm right..etc." approach. Would you prefer if I just quote the article itself & say "there"? In this case, I don't need an argument as I'm not disagreeing with anybody. As I've implied before, I agree with almost all of the contents in the article, it sums up my thoughts. If somebody wants to see what my argument would be like, they can go read the article & be well on their way. Do you think I'm going to put up an argument (when one is already supplied) just so certain people don't label me as immature or unintelligent? No thanks. Common sense indicates that I don't need the argument. My comment wasn't directed at a person just because I didn't like what they said (that's immaturity), it was directed at the article because I enjoyed it. I'm sorry I can't fit into your cyber utopia where argument for arguments' sake is supported & a simple comment can't be taken lightly. I know your argument wasn't directed at me, but the second you start labelling someone you know absolutely NOTHING about, you've gone a step too far. I suppose you wont let this go, but I'm not a big fan of little squabbles over message boards. So say what you must & quote me however you like, but I have justified myself enough & I'm not in the mood for people constantly quoting me & risking a flame war. I'm going to do the mature thing & leave this to (hopefully) die.
  6. First Article, bravo. A good three quarters of the player base simply need to shut up.
  7. I'd find a wilderness diary more irritating then exciting... :? The thought of it is already bringing back memories of Spirit of Summer/Summer's End. #-o I'm looking forward to a Gnome diary, it will certainly be different from the usual tasks.
  8. Yeah, I hate the long gaps between quests of the same storyline (I believe Cold War & Red Raktuber had a gap between 1 & 2 years, not so sure). But then again, I understand it takes a long time to write/develop a quest.
  9. Unless it's set in Gielinor(sp?) but thousands of years into the future, I'm not too comfortable with the "Scape". Plus it might start on a bad note due to people who don't like RuneScape.
  10. You can assault a person, run away, & he'll forget a few seconds later. :?:
  11. Another reason why June is the best month of the year. Penguin story line is awesome. EDIT: Finished it. One of the most entertaining quests I've completed.
  12. Does anybody know how long after did Spirit of Summer come out when we heard those 'mysterious voices' in the wilderness? Could give us a rough estimation as to when Cold War 2 arrives.
  13. I think they were the ones behind the camera...
  14. Tirannwn. Damn elves & their booby-trapped forest.
  15. ARROOOAABGLE!! Haha, how many references do you think the writer is going to put in the quest itself?
  16. Graphics Updates: Good. Jagex +1 whenever they release one. Think of it from this point of view; if RuneScape was still in beta & Jagex sent you an image of the old Lumbridge & the new Lumbridge, which would you choose (assuming you had never played before)? This is just an assumption, but I'm sure most people would choose the current one over the old one, due to it's cleaner look. (Remember, this is if it was in beta & very few people have played it before; meaning you have no good memories of running past grey, brick walls.) After reading the posts on this thread, most 'veterans' like the old graphics because of the memories & it's nostalgic atmosphere, which is fair enough. Personally, I love graphic updates. I would rather have a fresh-looking Draynor over Mournings Ends Part III any day. Just because they don't serve any particular purpose (other than being easy on the eyes), doesn't mean it's useless. It still gives the feeling (to me, at least) that the game is progressing by giving each area its' own personality.
  17. Went out to see it today, it kicked [wagon]. The story kicks off straight away, no annoying cliffhangers or anything. I love the message it gave about the conflicting ideas of religion & science. One line that blew me away; "Religion is flawed, just as man is flawed.' If there's one movie I'd recommend this year (Apart from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), it's this.

    Today...

Badly needed a day off school, so I went to watch Angels & Demons with my friend (parents were cool with it, surprisingly).
  19. HP Bar & hit-splats look beautiful with HD, the old one didn't really suite the improved graphics. : Spam filter, that ought to shut some people up. However, some players still HAVE to complain. It's like a fetish to them or something. :? Dungeon maps, cool. Useful for getting to the TzHaar bank after using the fairy ring (I always get lost).

    Today...

Started of pretty dull & boring.. But by the afternoon things started to liven up. Spent the whole of science waging war with the other side of the room (pranking, paper ball fights). I've just realised that once year 11 starts, teachers wont put up with this crap. Better enjoy it while it lasts.
  21. Just started reading Death Note. Dang, this really gives an insight to the human psyche... Oh yeah it has cool pictures aswell. \
