Judging by how I and my team-mates have been playing recently, we shouldn't have too many problems. We're against the Wiki team and they drew with the guys my team played against in the first week, so it really bodes well for us providing we can cap fast enough on DB and keep pushing on Granary. Gotta play pocket soldier though so I feel kind of responsible for everything. :x

Totalitarian? I'm not quite sure you understand because I don't feel excessively oppressed living here. We're also not leftist - socially centrist with right-leaning economics. Yes, politically we are rather boring and there's little variation; surely that's better than uprisings and stuff upsetting everything we're currently trying to sort out? Our politics don't revolve around God, abortion and homosexuals either, so drop the s**t about "what we don't want to become".

I don't discuss anything I'm not comfortable with discussing in real life and I don't go around making the lives of other Internet users miserable, but I wouldn't want my full name and contact details plastered everywhere. I like being able to keep low-key but not some totally anonymous, shadowy type.

Because they want to seem like they're "above" certain kinds of music. People regard me as some kind of obscure hipster music deity here but ****ing hell you haven't even seen what's in my music folder. Lots of black metal aside there's stuff most of you would point and laugh at for me listening to because you're so "above" music that's simple yet entertaining.

Technically it teaches you critiquing/analytical skills which I've found to be inherently useful.

That's surprising. Tiscali have a reputation for being very poor and I was on them for 2 years before TalkTalk bought them out. Not a very good time. No company will ever anger me more than BT, though. Sky was the company that gave a list of people going to the pirate bay right? Or something like that Yeah, they're both pretty horrible but I would say Sky is nowhere near as bad in terms of actual broadband service. Still, he can enjoy getting throttled if he downloads more than 100GB.

The new Caviar Green drives are pretty good for storage. I have two of them and they work brilliantly. I have a Spinpoint as my boot drive and I would also recommend it.

So I was playing some TF2 today, and bam - suddenly locked up. About five seconds later, this happened: My card is a three year-old G80 8800GTS 640MB and the heat it generates probably was its undoing. Currently, I'm thinking about an ATi 5670 (1 / 2) seeing as I mostly play Source games and 2D shooters that aren't graphically intensive at all. I'd really appreciate any input and I don't want to spend over £100, seeing as I've just paid for a new phone line + internet. Also of note: I've been having the problems with lockups but no artifacts for 6 months now, but I wrote it off as bad drivers. However, I upgraded, downgraded and upgraded again today - lockups with artifacts persist in TF2, Oblivion and Stalker, but they seem to be more frequent on 197.* versions of Forceware. Cleaned out my card a week ago and high temperatures plus crashes still occured, so I think it's definitely time to get a new GPU. Oh, and my resolution is 1440x900.
