  1. Probably the most honest list I've seen on here actually.

    Today...

That's surprising. Tiscali have a reputation for being very poor and I was on them for 2 years before TalkTalk bought them out. Not a very good time. No company will ever anger me more than BT, though. Sky was the company that gave a list of people going to the pirate bay right? Or something like that Yeah, they're both pretty horrible but I would say Sky is nowhere near as bad in terms of actual broadband service. Still, he can enjoy getting throttled if he downloads more than 100GB.

  4. The new Caviar Green drives are pretty good for storage. I have two of them and they work brilliantly. I have a Spinpoint as my boot drive and I would also recommend it.
  5. Oh, I barely go on these days.

  6. get some headphones? ^ Mimas - Mac, Get Your Gear
  7. Yep, ASUS is 3 while Sapphire is 2. Thanks, I thought I wasn't over/under-estimating but not 100% sure.
  8. So I was playing some TF2 today, and bam - suddenly locked up. About five seconds later, this happened: My card is a three year-old G80 8800GTS 640MB and the heat it generates probably was its undoing. Currently, I'm thinking about an ATi 5670 (1 / 2) seeing as I mostly play Source games and 2D shooters that aren't graphically intensive at all. I'd really appreciate any input and I don't want to spend over £100, seeing as I've just paid for a new phone line + internet. Also of note: I've been having the problems with lockups but no artifacts for 6 months now, but I wrote it off as bad drivers. However, I upgraded, downgraded and upgraded again today - lockups with artifacts persist in TF2, Oblivion and Stalker, but they seem to be more frequent on 197.* versions of Forceware. Cleaned out my card a week ago and high temperatures plus crashes still occured, so I think it's definitely time to get a new GPU. Oh, and my resolution is 1440x900.
  9. Very different. It's not so much a persona as a channel for things I love that nobody else does in real life. As a general rule, I'm more towards the normal spectrum in real life in terms of what I'm talking about and what I do. However, there are many more people with similar interests online; as a result, I'm more open about what I like without feeling awkward or anything like that.
  10. I'm rather open about the fact that socialising exhausts me. I don't mind it, I'm not too bad at it - it's exhausting for me. Also, anti-social has a different meaning instead of what most people believe. It's when you go out and mess stuff up for everyone else rather than just being introverted.
  11. TF2 is not really that hard to get good at. Play a lot of games and you'll get the hang of it.

Here we go. When someone comes up with a valid argument please tell me. I think this should be an absolute non-issue in 2010 because, well, look at the ****ing calendar.
  13. New Sigh is symphonic metal. It's not necessarily a power metal subgenre - pretty much anything with grand keyboard lines and other elements from classical music generally makes symphonic metal. It even has a bunch of sub-subgenres too. It's mad. However, good symphonic metal isn't common, yeah. I liked Nightwish a lot too back in the day. You'd probably enjoy Kamelot too, Gallade - still enjoy their music almost four years later: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wRreoNRGwk
  14. Kritz at the first choke, stage 3 Dustbowl. Works every single time and it's even better if you can time it so you can be coming down from spawn just as they're capping.
  15. Ah right. Almost everyone I know from Canada has stable, low-latency connections and the like. They've only just introduced 100/100 in two cities here and I'm sure it will never come out rurally where I am.

Do you genuinely like whiskey or were you just very desperate for alcohol? :???: No fifteen year old I know would drink whisky. It's not even something you drink to get drunk on for a start...

    Blu-Ray and you

Blu-Ray for anime is horribly hit and miss. A lot of it is badly upscaled, so you need to make it downscale for it to look decent. When you do that, it does look great though. It's very near lossless so clean series look fantastic. Not much of a difference for your typical epilepsy-inducing stuff though.
  18. Pretty sure Canada has some of the best internet in the Americas so there are probably other options available and some even cheaper, too.
  19. 90s was the best decade for animation quality but late 80s stuff is okay as well.
  20. http://forum.tip.it/topic/217499-dont-buy-a-dell-and-i-need-help/page__p__3317749__hl__dell__fromsearch__1#entry3317749 http://forum.tip.it/topic/223585-safe-gpu-temps/page__p__3435250__fromsearch__1#entry3435250 You can go with Dell if you choose, but tread lightly. Wow... that is some poor showing. I've never had a problem with Dell's EU support at all but I guess it isn't the same everywhere. Thanks.
  21. They seem pretty good. I think the new spy knife is useless with anything except the DR. I was just using it now with the normal watch and then the DR, and I did quite well with the second combo. The DR nicely negates the disadvantage of being disguised by the knife because you can get killed, cloak and appear behind everyone and chainstab again. I think it's quite balanced on its own because you can't hear it at all whereas the DR is impossible to hear in battle. But yeah, as I said, largely useless without the DR because you can't disguise yourself at will.
  22. All Sbrideau ever does is come in here and criticise literally everything that everyone else uses anyway so whatever. Only company I've had a problem with is ASUS but then it's related to LG seeing as they make 99% of the LCD panels these days. Actual monitor electronics were fine but it had an oversaturated tint and several stuck pixels. Support was okay but not Dell level, not anywhere near. At least if you get a Dell and it goes wrong, you know you've got good support backing you. My friend said he got a dodgy Dell IPS and they sent him out a new one immediately after he complained and was allowed to keep his current one until the non-defective unit arrived. I've not had any problems with Dell's support either, always was helpful. I would say they're back in the game and have been for a while now. It's not 2007 any more. Not to mention the parts in Dells aren't 100% their own so maybe you should blame Hitachi for bad HDDs and whoever makes the motherboards for bad motherboards.
