  1. agreed, but Im annoyed at people saying they dont like churches having power and they church should have to keep its hospitals open.
  2. Drop of water in your blood a drop of water in your blood would not kill you, blood is already composed of a lot of water with solute in it. Injecting enough water into your blood will kill you by making your blood hypotonic and destroying your cells.
  3. I guess Ill make a new plan now that this thread has been rebumped Im assuming official zombie survival guide zombies for my plan as the guide is truly amazing. a. barricade myself in a house for a week or 2 b. sneak into a hospital after it has cleared out(zombies spawn from hospitals due to victims being taken there so I wait the 2 weeks. Hopefully gather a few people to join me c. take all the supplies from the hospital and build a small shelter on the roof of said hospital d. chill out for a few years
  4. I doubt a water cutter can function with just one drop of water, that would probably break the mechanics, also the water drop would be spread out and partially vaporized upon the first hit. this would be a better debate if you couldnt just say (ill split it to release energy or use antimatter)
  5. I think America will get an atheist president eventually, probably we will see a slow trickling towards agnostics and non church goers as a lead up to it. Unless, the same think happens as with Obama, and a young great speaker runs. There is a general fading of religion in the US as far as I can tell.
  6. You can't compare the penal system or teachers to medicine and doctors. Doctors have a duty to their patients, to do what's medically best for them. In some cases young women are in no fit state emotionally or physically to have a child. And besides, we're not just talking about doctors refusing abortions, this is about whole hospitals closing because of one act being passed (so I understand). Its a valid example in the case of doctors refusing to perform procedures, that being that flu shot=/= abortion so there can be varying degrees of objection to doing something. If the church wants to close its hospitals because it refuses to perform abortions it has the right. I mean you dont want them to have power so I dont see why they should be providing medical care anyway. Private institutions can do what they want, if Obama chooses to endanger people for the sake of legalizing abortion it becomes his mess.
  7. water cutter=stream of water=/= drop of water and I doubt that machine will work if you only use a single drop.
  8. There is a clear difference between something you consider mildly unethical and something you consider murder. If not, then I guess the penalty for shoplifting should be the same as the penalty for rape or serial murderers. I dont think anywhere in that bill it will require someone to perform an abortion if they choose not to, someone wanting an abortion isnt having an urgent medical problem so Im sure any physician could just redirect the person to another doctor. If by some chance they are forced, shouldnt they just refuse to do it and face legal problems, Im thinking this would be similiar to the case where a guy taught evolution in schools knowing he would be arrested(anyone know the name of that case?)

I actually have an idea that might work a. buy a bunch of nice fluffy stuffed animals b. buy/borrow a semiautomatic rifle or pistol c. take item a and b into yard and set up a proper firing range for safety d. use item b to decimate item a while a camera is on e. load video onto youtube hope that helps, no Im not joking, that might work quite well.
  10. does anyone know where the theory this will force doctors to perform abortions come from? Im thinking from the line to paraphrase "that no government will restrict the right to full reporductive services" a. Noone should be required to perform abortions if they find it morally wrong b. the line in the bill "87 percent of counties in the US dont have clincis that provide abortions" made me laugh a little, its like they are saying its impossible to cross a county line when pregnant.
  11. Well I just skimmed over the bill, going to reread in a minute here heres a link to the actual bill, id ask the thread author to put it on first post for everyones access. link to bill
  12. 1st off can we get a link to the wording of the act preferably in the first post? it would help a lot. If this act is as unrestrictive as it initially sounds, its going overboard of overboard. I try to retain some sense of moderation in abortion debates, I fully acknowledge being pro life but I dont like flame wars. Also, before adressing anything else, since the church hospital thing is still up for debate I wont comment on it until we have clear facts. Now then, even if you are pro choice I think you will agree with me when I say there should be some automatic restrictions on abortion. Such as a ban on late term abortions when the mother's life isnt at risk, and some way of preventing someone having an abortion too quickly. So someone cant just walk into the doctor and have procedure done instantly(at least make them think about it overnight to try and reduce occurences of severe regret). The physical limit on abortions should be set at a date based off of logical reasoning. Personally I think it should be 2-3 weeks before the development of the nervous systems, though I wish it were earlier. The 2-3 weeks is just a buffer, neural development being the most scientific limit(I mean if not allowing harm to a human isnt a good barrier what is?). Maybe someday we will stop needing abortion clinics and people will actually learn to control themselves, if only that wasnt a joke to believe.
  13. teleblock is nice, I always thought ftp needed something like it.
  14. Im pretty sure ive gotten a clue scroll after the update, Ill get back to this thread if I get another since im not 100% sure.
  15. a single quark, theres no way that could kill you.

Well most of the time I spend on the internet is "wasted", then again id be playing games on a playstation if I wasnt online.
  17. o; you will be deaf before it kills you but it will still kill you, being choked will make you pass out before dying but you will still die.
  18. As long as they are placed in a proper facility, we needed gitmo closed down since it was a metaphorical eyesore for the US.
  19. they limited it to physical objects when they we could come up with non physical stuff.
  20. hell cannot kill you because either a. it does not exist b. you get sent there after you die \
  21. Johnny appleseed was a bit of a jerk actually. He planted low grade seeds across the us in protest of farmers breeding better apple trees, just saying :P .
  22. Thats because a large amount of african americans actually have white ancestors from slave masters.
  23. cleary, that is suggestive of a thinking session in the nude which is clearly inappropriate how about mental diversifying that cant mean anything naughty or violent. Im okay with some political correctness, the problem is when it just annoys people from speaking english. Who say's brain storm to mean something violent for instance?
  24. that depends on how you want to look at it. Atheism is only a belief relative to there being religion, I choose to view atheists as people who simply acknowledge reality as explainable. tryto, that was ownage just ownage. Out of curiosity, do you have the same list of quotes against any other religious books? If so Id love a pm of them. Not that I hate religion, but I dont like the faults so many religious texts have not edited out. Without seeing the documentary, I would say that the best way to oppose a violent religion is not through hate speech, but pointing out logical faults in it.
  25.
