Tormented Demons Extinct?
You can still fight them solo, one at a time. The only way they're gonna make this un-soloable is if they take the Commander Zil approach and make the room a big empty square and take out all rocks and pillars. And theres still a glitch with the darklight that makes the whole process fast as can be. All they've done is filtered out the stupid and lazy people going after these. Anyone who has been there from day 1 knows all the best strategies and is gonna continue to rake in the claws and make a fortune.

Grasping the game..
I disagree. The best thing about Runescape used to be how social the community was. Providing really specific guides one the RS website will just further add to the ammount of gamers who play this game as a single player rush to increasing your skill total/personal wealth. Part of the MMO experience is developing a social network for you to obtain information from and share information with. Sharing wealth used to be a great part of this, but now that is a mere shadow of what it used to be.

Anyone here know stuff about how RS is coded? Cause I'm really wondering how in the world there can be such a mistake like accidentally making female heads contort wayyyyy off the body model.... From the way I understand the workings of the game it sounds like this would be the fault of extremely poor testing/coding...

Dagon'hai robes ... What drops them FOUND ! (page 4)
I have very little faith or trust in anything, let alone other human beings. However, even I found it believable when someone says that they got a DAGON HAI ROBE from a DAGON HAI MONK. Anyone who still thinks these or the elite items are limited to the account knows nothing about Jagex. Doing something like limiting the item to what you get in the quest is basically them creating a new discontinued item, which is something they swore against. Sure, youd be able to get new ones into the game by doing the quest on another account, but that also introduces a new "person" who would have a theoretical desire to own these items. An item that is limited based on the number of accounts in game? Not likely to ever be seen. You may think the prices were high now (street price) but I believe that if these items WERENT attainable from drops, the price would continue to climb even higher. Also it would be possible for merchants to hold on to these items and virtually elimate their flow into the game.

Dragon Dagger V.S. Dragon Claws
Yes, you are correct that it is not 100% accurate, and the flaw seems to be in the rounding. I have also come to notice that typically, either the 3rd or the 4th hit will be one higher than the other. i.e. I have never seen something along the lines of 20 10 6 6 it would be 20 10 6 5 or 20 10 5 6. I think that there may be a rounding mechanism in work that is designed to eliminate mechanical flaws when dealing between odd and even numbers. It seems that for the 3rd or 4th hit only, there is a possibility of one being rounded up to be one damage higher than what should be allowed. Which begs a couple of strange new possible specs. What about a 30 0 0 31? Numerically this seems possible based on the pattern. Also, it is worth noting that for the second hit (not the second damage, but only for the second SWIPE), it seems to be rounded DOWN. I am basing this on the observation that I haven't ever seen a 24 13 or a 25 13 on the first two SWIPES. The real puzzle is the 1-0 specials that then stop completely. It seems that, hypothetically, upon hitting a 1, your second swipe can have a max of 50% rounded down, which would definitely give you zero. However, it seems that for any other special, if you hit a zero on your second swipe, that damage reduction is skipped and you then have the chance to hit of 100% 0 50% 50%. Based on other maxes, it seems one of these remaining 50% hits should be able to be rounded up and give you another 1...but the spec just stops after two hits. Either there is some type of rounding complexity that I don't understand, or Jagex has designed the 1-0 case to be a specific fail case of the special. Also this video seems to answer my question that a zero hit is always "skipped" when reducing the possible damage. the 32 0 17 16 confirms this.

An Unlikely Coincidence
Well I really have never been to hip with RS storylines/history, but if what you say is true that saradomin based his symbol off of dragonkin symbols then wouldn't this answer your own question? Also as others have said, the saradomin symbol is like a plus sign + where the tapering is equal on all 4 sides. On the right and left sides of the elite sword, there is a part the juts off horizontally, making it look more like a traditional V shaped type of hilt, and less like a symbol that was designed for decoration. However the color is the same, the way they hold it is the same, and there are those crazy little "gaps" near the bottom of the sword (even though somebody said there wasn't...? Looks like they are there to me...) Don't worry, the post wasn't useless though. Its an interesting thought. Note that the elites are smart enough to use prayers, which would make me think it wouldn't be a ridiculous thing if they used special attacks, assuming they are holding a weapon that has one. I think if jagex really wanted these to be saradomin swords they would have added a special. I think their reason for this design though is to give us something to consider about the history of RS symbols, just like in our world how a swasticka is an ancient symbol but has only recently been widely assumed to have affiliation with nazis.

Dragon Dagger V.S. Dragon Claws
Well...lets just explain how these work, to hopefully end the discussion. Your total hit cannot exceed twice your highest hit, excluding zeros. That means if you hit three zeros, your fourth hit is unaffected. I'm sick of people saying things like "the max of the fourth is 25% of your max" because its just not true. Theres no set dependence on which attack can do how much damage because I have seen plenty of 0 0 0 30 type of a special. Also, it is completely false that the second time you deal damage, it will always be 50% of your first damage, because this is also false. Allow me restate exactly what the claw special allows: Your total damage on the special WILL NEVER exceed the damage done by your first non-zero hit. HOWEVER, when you have your first non-zero strike, the game calculates what hit it happened on, and wants to give all remaining hits a chance to strike. If you hit a damage on the first swipe, your second swipe will have a max of 50% of that damage, and your third and fourth swipes will have a max of 25% of that damage. I am unsure at this time why they decided to make it work that way instead of giving 100% 33% 33% 33%. Either they like to work in fourths and halves, or maybe they wanted to give you a chance to do more damage faster, since the four swipes do not all happen simultaneously. Further, if you hit a zero on the first swipe, but hit on your second swipe, your third and fourth swipes each have a max of 50% of that hit. (and of course, if you manage to hit two zeros for the first two swipes, each of the remaining strikes do the normal damage...and also you CAN hit 0 0 0 and then your max 100% damage) So to visualize it better, here are some possible hits: 40 20 10 10 0 40 20 20 0 0 40 40 0 0 0 40 And here are some impossible ones: 10 20 40 10 10 8 2 0 0 20 20 0 0 0 20 25 So the question being: "Whats the big deal about these claws? If you cant hit more than double your max of a single round, why not use the DDS?" Well, if you know anything about a DDS, you probably understand that the special is just two hits strung together, which can make it grossly inaccurate at times. So lets say you have the bad luck of hitting two zeros in a row. If using the DDS, this means you spec a 0 0 and have wasted a round of combat. If using D claws...you get two more shots. Its like having a whole new DDS spec without waiting another round of combat. This weapon is basically identical to the DDS in terms of maximum damage potential per second, which is why it makes no sense to use PvM. However, in a PvP setting, the claws are basically just a bad luck reducer. Sure, you wont be hitting any 40 40 40 40 specs on people...your total damage in a single round of combat is basically the same. However you now have a much better chance of getting a high hitting special (though you do have less special attacks) NOTE: a couple things are still unclear atm. For example, if you hit a 40 on the first swipe, and then a 0 on the second, it is unclear if you get 50% and 50% on your final two hits. I havent been able to figure this out yet because it seems as of now that after you hit a damage, your following hits have a very high sucess rate of doing SOME damage. If anyone has footage of a 40 0 20 20 or a 40 0 0 40 type of a hit, let me know...

Tormented Demon Drop Changes - (04-December-2008)
You have to admit they seemed to have had a 'logic' day off. Making a drop set at 150k, which gives it much wider appeal, and giving it super rare drop rate, then making a much more common drop, initially around 80x higher value in g.e, with much less wide appeal, it seems astounding. Really, who thinks it up? QFT. They introduce a new weapon with an arguably better (or at least competitive) special than the DDS (the most commonly used speccing weapon), and set its price tag at 150k...They introduce a platebody which is statistically inferior to BCP and only around for aesthetic value.......and its price is 30m? AND you get a shard of it on completion of the quest...dumb.

Killing a terrorbird???
THANKS but thats for WARPED terrorbirds, which don't even drop the bone piece (I have killed about 50 of those aswell) Also, if you have ever tried to kill warped terrorbirds without a chime you would know that what happens is nothing like what I described. You just hit zeros on them and they wail damages on you. Whats happening here is that I can no longer even attack the monster and it is attacking me back but not even hitting zeros. PS you also need to use the chime on a warped terrorbird before even attacking it so you are able to damage it, its not like killing a gargoyle w rock hammer.

Killing a terrorbird???
So I am in the middle of completing all the quests, and I am on rag and bone man. I am at the south west pen to kill a terrorbird and claim a bone, however: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. The birds simply dont die. They get down to 0 health and then you cant attack them anymore. They sit there and attack you, but theyll never do any damage or even hit zeros.................... BUG? Or am I missing something...

Mousekeys...Are the Legit?
If you hit / * or - it will change the 5 key to left click, both click, or right click respectively. And also there is no reason mousekeys would be legal but using the Ctrl key wouldnt. All control does is modify how fast your pointer is moving.

Maximum Amount of Money per Hour
Wouldn't farming be pretty high up there? I mean you can't sit there and do it for 10 hours straight. But for 10 minutes every hour you can make a couple hundred k, which would translate to over 1m per hour of actual in game time.

25-Nov-2008 Stealing Creation rewards system to change
I thought it was + 30 xp on all smithing items. Addy bars give over 60 xp each so I dont see how you get 2x the xp? If I am wrong, use them now, since longer lasting double xp > shorter lasting double xp (when update kicks in) of course. My mistake, lol...I looked at smelting exp.

*looks at his 33 tools in the bank....* Time to start smithing! I think I am going to play the hell out of this game now, so I can reap the smithing rewards while still possible. For addy bars its over 2x the exp right now...

summoning potion > sharks
The dumbest part about your post is that it is entirely contradictory to itself. First of all, drinking potions causes NO DELAY in combat if you time it properly. Second of all, the unicorn special also causes absolutely no delay in combat. Thirdly, if you are being damaged hard enough that you can't wait 3 rounds of combat every time you want to heal 14 (time enough to take 2 doses of potion and then take the uni special, which by the way gives 10 left over special points) then chances are you aren't going to want to take out your guthans and hope to get a special in time. Also guthans has inferior attack stats to anything you would normally be using. So basically, by using potions and healing specials, you get no delay in attacking. By using guthans you need to take off your main weapon (AND your black mask...AND any strength boosting legs or body), losing some attacking power until your special happens to heal you. Yeah, its clear now that attacking relentlessly is way weaker than pulling out your guthans. Thanks for clearing that up.

They don't stack, but even if they did you wouldn't be able to buy them. You can only buy one tool after each game is played. If you log out you lose your chance to buy a tool for that game.

summoning potion > sharks
I have never had that graceful majestic animal beside me and thought "Boy, if only this was a lower level familiar." And also... This wins. Great idea really. Everyone thinks healing is healing but if you use this method (over brews) to heal you can end up doing much more damage due to potted stats. PS Uni is good for dharoking.

Tip.It Times Presents: Completing the Triangle
Thats rubbish. When you summon something it fights in melee or ranged or magic type attacks and thus is not a fourth side to the triangle. So what the hell is summoning defense for? I think fixing magic is a simple fix: make staffs have higher magic attack bonus. It would give pure magic users a huge edge. Theres not nearly enough of a punishment for using a melee weapon in your hand slot instead of a staff.
