What are your thoughts on grand exchange merchanting?
I don't see a price manipulation rule in the list of rules.

What are your thoughts on grand exchange merchanting?
Mind explaining to me what rule it breaks if clans buy up a ton of a specific item?

Adamant is NOT better than Torso
Christ. This argument is not about stats. Nobody said anywhere that the bonuses from addy chain or prostelyte are better than the torso. This was a statement made about time and efficiency, nothing else.

Think about that. Really, think about that. Level 3 with 51 slayer. But yes he could do the quest, as the 51 slayer is only required to kill the phoenix after the quest is complete. You think about it. Ever hear of Zzzamorak? Hes level 3 with 57 slayer. Theres also many other level 3s with just as high or higher slayer.

Pheonix information!
Upon rebirth the phoenix does some type of area-effect attack. However it seems wildly inaccurate...might just be the monsters I tested on though. Also if you get this to happen to a huge group of monsters, it will make the loudest sound in the game...lol

2100 skill total & all stats 80+
Thanks for the inspiration, but seeing as how theres already 116 maxed players I don't think it'll happen :P :P Maybe I could max, wait for a new skill, then 99 it and be the FIRST player to the new max level :D

2100 skill total & all stats 80+
This actually happened last week...but I've been too lazy to get around to posting it. :P This was the magic level that got me to all 80s. My last 3 skills to get all 80+ were mining, rc, and agility. Agility was one that I really didnt mind training, so I left it for last :D Getting all 80+ skills has been a dream of mine for a long long while. The very first skill I got to 80 was cooking, way back in rsc. This was soon followed by fishing. Then with the release of RS2, my combats all got above 80 and I soon had a bunch of cash from fighting high level monsters. With the release of slayer, I made even more cash. Sadly I ran out of slayer inspiration/funds before the elusive 85 and stopped at a mediocre 75 slayer. However, G-mauls were fetching 500k-1m those days, so I was more than happy! :D I made a ton of money at gargs and had some good fun. With this newly accquired cash, there wasn't much to spend it on back then. No such bandos armor or godswords..After I bought my full guthans, there wasn't much else to spend money on, so that is when I bought myself 80 herblore. From that point on, I was hooked on leveling in RS2 and I wanted all my stats to look as pretty as the 80 herb did. :P 2100 skill total, to me, isn't THAT huge of an achievement. But maybe its somewhat impressive seeing that I don't have any of the "easy" skills over 90 (aka fletching, cooking, etc.) And finally, heres my current highscores incase you're wondering. :P I used to be well within the top 5k players a long time ago....and until a few months ago I was falling into the top 9000s. I had stopped short of my "all 80s" goal awhile ago because I became far too frustrated with RC, mining, wc, hunter, and agility. These 5 skills were all at the 60-70 range for about...I'd say 2 years. Now I've still got my sights set on leveling. Hopefully getting some good drops to fund as many prayer levels as I can tolerate. I've got GE offers in for Phoenix quills, looking for summoning levels. I'm not saying I'll get 99 in both or either of these, but I'm just training them for now and seeing how I feel along the way. I don't know how high I'll go in these because believe it or not...I'm not burnt out at all from grinding out these "skilling" levels recently. Some things I've considered are 85 mining, 90s in cook, fm, thieve, fletch. Maybe buying some 90+ in herb, cons, craft...Heck I've even thought I may want to do some agility...And then theres farming...man I really have so much I'd love to do in this game, I just wish I had the time. :) : Well congrats if you've managed to read all of this stuff. I don't typically write much in a "Rate this" but reaching this point in my character really means a lot to me. I've had tons of fun playing this game over the past year or two, with the release of GWD and other such things...but it always irritated me that I let go of my goal to be an accomplished jack-of-all-trades. I feel greatly relieved after accomplishing this goal, and I feel liberated in my gameplay now. This time I'm gonna be more careful before dedicating myself to unreasonable goals. :P Thanks for reading!

Firemaking, not a newb 99
I agree. The only thing I can think of is that you can't have 99 thieving "in your bank" and then be sure youll never have to buy any more resources. Not saying I feel that way, just that I can see how it would have a different psychological appeal. To me the difference is non existent and I place thieve on roughly equal ground with fm. Also a level 3 can get 99 fm just as easy as a 138. For PP however, it is quite impossible for a level 3 to do. More requirements/more combat="harder" skill maybe? Who knows.

Firemaking, not a newb 99
It seems there are two groups of people who talk about this being a "noob" skill. The first of these groups is the people who are calling it "noob" skill because it is useless or "Stupid" etc... This is completely unjustified. Technically the best money-makers in the game are all combat related so every skill is "useless" to have if you have trained it above the minimum requirement for things such as barrows gloves, house teleport portals, and such. If you have 99 woodcutting and you are calling FM a useless skill then you are nothing but a giant hypocrite. WC is not the best money-maker in the game, so you shouldn't have 99 in it if all see in things is their "usefullness". If your response to this is "well I just like woodcutting" then congrats, you just contradicted your beginning argument, because people should be allowed to enjoy firemaking if you are allowed to enjoy woodcutting. The bottom line is that the highscores show skill totals and firemaking is just as useful of a 99 as most skills. The second of these groups is justified in their labeling. These people say that fm is a "noob skill" because it is easy to get, and requires little money (or, maybe, is very common?). This is completely true. Skills that take a lot of time are: Mining, Agility, RC, Slayer, and Summoning. For these skills, the hourly exp rate maxes out with about 60k per hour in the highest of them. Then there are skills that take a lot of money (and if you believe time=money, then these also take a ton of time...but these are the "expensive buyables" that some people could get 99 in very quickly, if they happen to fall into a ton of lucky cash) such as Construction, Prayer, Crafting, Smithing, Farming, and Herblore. These clock in at usually over 150k exp per hour, some even going over the 300k mark. So far all of the skills I've listed would undoubtedly be considered "harder" than firemaking. With FM (MAPLES), the exp is nearly as fast as the "quick but hugely expensive" buyables, however the cost is embarassingly low. The "non-noob" skills that are buyable (i.e. prayer, crafting) force you to spend AT LEAST 8 gp per exp. Some of them will even have you spending 10 or more gp per exp. What about Firemaking? You don't even spend 1 gp per exp! In fact, you spend less than 0.5 gp per exp if you're using maples. It'll cost under 4m to buy everything you need for 99 fm, and youll be getting 150k+ exp per hour. The only other skills that come close to that type of speed, with that low of spending, are Fletching, Theiving, and Cooking. Lowest costs, high exp rates, means the least time overall to get these skills to 99. Also, "buying" 99 firemaking is extremely feasible for noobs. If you made only 100k an hour, you could raise the money for 99 fm in less than two weeks time. If you wanted to get the 100m+ needed for 99 crafting, youd definitely be making money for months on end...In order for those 99s to be feasible, you need to have an income that is vastly higher than 100k per hour...even making 1m an hour, youd raise money for 100 hours before even embarking on your exp-gaining journey. You could raise money for 99 fm and have it trained to 99 before you even can gather the money for one of the "high end buyable" 99s. This is why fm is a "noob" or "Easy" 99...

Inventory increasers
I've been playing RS for a long time, and one thing I have noticed that separates this game from all the others is that the available inventory space is fairly low (in terms of how long you can go out adventuring before needing to bank) and also there is no way to increase the space available (yes, summoning brought beasts of burden, but I'll talk about that in a moment). One thing that saves the low inventory space from being a game-ruining factor is the high alch spell. If it werent for high alch, many more drops would be left on the ground to rot due to lack of inventory space. Now, high alch takes care of the problem of picking up monster drops, but for training harvesting skills, I think runescape is in some real need of inventory increasing devices. My suggestion is to introduce some type of "pouch" or "bag" in which you can store a certain ammount of ores, herbs, logs, etc..There would be a specific type for each item (i.e. herb pouch, coal pouch, etc...) Adding such a feature would only benefit the game. People mining would get more exp faster (also discouraging power-mining) and the raw material would also be less scarce, which could in turn create less of a loss for the smithing skill. The prices of raw materials would go down, but harvesting them faster would mean that profit per hour for miners stays the same. Also imagine an herb pouch. As an avid slayer, I have left hundreds, probably thousands or higher actually, of GOOD herbs on the ground (irits, harras, cads) just because I didnt have any room for herbs, or because I had to leave it in favor of THE BEST herbs like a ranarr or kwuarm. Also, a "summoning" pouch would be very helpful, to store your charms. I know of many people who do not pick up golds on slayer tasks because they dont think they are worth the inventory slot. Some people dont even pick up their greens. If you are on a task where the monster drops mainly crimsons, its very possible to get only 0-5 golds/greens, so many people are probably right in saving that spot for a gem or a ranarr drop. We all experience frustrations with the small ammount of inventory, but why should we just accept it for what it is? I think most of us would agree that having these types of pouches wouldn't ruin the game at all; it would promote using under-used features and thus give us more enjoyment from the game. Now, about beasts of burden. Yes, it is true that these guys completely rule. One issue I have though, is that they cannot hold untradeable items. Consolidating my 4 charms into 1 pouch slot would be a huge help on slayer tasks. However, the bigger issue with summoning BoB's is this: summoning has given us so many other great familiars! How can you expect me to bring along a 18 slot BoB to pick up herbs, when I have the possibility of fighting alongside a titan made out of steel? Bringing in some new inventory increasing items would breathe new life into summoning. There are many useful and fun familiars that just dont see any use because having something to hold items in is just so much more needed in this game. What do you guys think? Could we implement such features without destroying the need for BoB familiars? Are they any skills that you think would definitely benefit from having an inventory increaser? Any skills that definitely shouldn't? I should note that Jagex has already given us two items that help us with this: the RC pouches and the Bolt Pouch. Both of these items are very useful (the bolt pouch not as much...but I use it semi frequently) and I think we would all agree that neither of these item holders have been game-breaking. Also, who thinks a bag-making skill could be cool? :D

You're Banned! Account Deleted!
I would definitely start a new account. I really would love to go through levels again and experience all the low level content jagex has added to the game. When RS2 was released, my character was already a pretty high level, about as high as a majority of updates over the past few years were aimed at. Then after slayer came out I was high 90s in no time. Would be fun to go through the process with a new character and see what its like to level now. The only reason I DONT play multiple characters is just because I dont want to pay another 5 dollars (or more now  ) per month...I'd love to level up a new character... :(

Prayer Books
We'll never know. It's a viable chance that it was always in the drop rate, but Jagex decided to tweak with the drop rates to make it extremely rare. It was in the KB but there have been some instances where the KB was wrong. All I know is that yes, god pages have now made a return... and to think people are going crazy over 600k pages when Zamorak pages were about 200k a piece back then #-o Pages weren't in the game guide anymore as treasure trail rewards.

Woodcutting Logic
You seem to be missing something. Neither I nor slayernm613 mentioned anything about profit. He says cutting willows would be psychologically better, because it feels faster and thus less tedious, making it more enjoyable for someone who dislikes to WC. You are in no position to say he is wrong, because he is just telling you why it feels faster to him, psychologically. He is completely right because he is telling you how it is easier for him to train on willows, regardless of whether the exp is actually much better at all. And there is no regard to profit in this at all. As for my case, left clicking on the bank deposit, then hitting "deposit all" requires a few clicks. Dropping 28 logs takes 56 clicks. Less clicks means less input from me. Less input from me means I feel like I am doing less woodcutting, which means I am engaging less with something I hate, which means I won't want to kill myself as badly on the route to achieving a goal level. Also you didn't address means of transportation. If I can only stand to cut ANY type of log for 1-2 hours at a time, and it takes me 5 minutes to get to teaks each time, then en route to my goal level I will spend hours in transportation alone. Teleing to draynor or barb outpost puts me right at a source of WC exp. Also, if I WERE to train at teaks, I wouldn't be cutting a whole inventory at a time. Like powermining, it only makes sense to do if you drop each ore as soon as you mine it. This is the only way I would ever do drop-woodcutting and that would require full attention which I just don't want to give to WC.

Grasping the game..
Your argument makes no sense. You are telling Yourgone to not do exactly what YOU ARE DOING. You are just saying the opposite of what he is saying. So according to your logic I should tell you right now to just stop talking and don't tell people how to "feel" the game. Tutorials ruin his feel, they enhance yours. Don't tell him he cant plug his views but then you are plugging yours... Anyone who WRITES their name at the end of every post is usually wrong in every way they think or write anyway.

Training Magic
lol, what a shame to hear that from a 99 mage. I'll just say the one that hasnt been mentioned yet: enchanting diamond bolts. Up to 150k xp an hour, and you break even/make profit, if you buy and sell wisely. Not very practical as it is hard to buy diamond bolts in ge :wall: If you buy the bolt tips and addy bolts its really easy....might take a little while to fletch them but its free fletching exp and you can make many sets with one click, unlike putting feathers on unf bolts. Another method to training magic is onyx enchant in the mage training arena. Its around 70k per hour if I remember correctly but its a ton cheaper than string amulet or humidify or stun.

Insider trading?
If you drive up the price, you can then sell them at the price that they eventually arrive at. By this I mean that you need to buy a certain ammount at 5.5k each before they can rise higher. Then by the time you get the price up to 500k+ each you still have all the hundreds of tables you paid a real low price for. But...did they take opulent tables out of clues? I haven't had one in a long while, and this might be the underlying cause.
-
Woodcutting Logic
No, that part actually is not true. Willows are not good experience. :shame: willows are probably psychologically better, since you get more logs in the same time span no matter what. This is regardless of whether or not experience wise it's better. First, what I said was that they weren't fastest and that they weren't good xp, both of which are true. Second, what do you mean "psychologically better"? Are teaks going to cause you to develop schizophrenia or autism or something? #-o Because at willows you can completely not pay attention and then just bank, then go back to cutting. No dropping, no trade sticks and stuff...and you dont run out of room for seeds or nests or anything. Or random event gems. And you can tele to draynor and immediately start cutting, then quit easily in an hour. Pretty handy for people who can't stand the skill.

PVP: Cheating the system???
If you kill the same people a lot, the system notices it and decreases your drops.
