Really nice idea with the whole "staying at god wars and killing a ton of each thing." It seems really fun and I might have to try it sometime, seeing that everything there is a pretty good money maker. Avis, spirit warriors, spirit mages...its all good.

Would require loads of luck in turning up at games with a few minutes spare, and getting in. There may be some IRC channels with enough players to get the idea going so watch this space I guess. If you see some incredible records being broken over the next couple of days then you may be onto something, and get prepared to see the ban stick brought out of the cupboard. I am pretty sure that games start at the same time across all worlds. Maybe it was just this way this morning though and they will get out of sync eventually or whatever.

How can you decide that so quickly? Every new thing takes some time to get used to. Thats the reason its boring. There is no time needed to get used to it. Theres really no strategy at all. The stronger team will take the middle and hold it every game, making it impossible to even have the other team compete. If you pick the wrong team, theres nothing you can do to even participate in the objective of the game. In castle wars, you could definitely get the flag captured by using cades and other strategies, even if the sheer man power of your team didnt match the other team. Here you just lose and CANT even participate in the objective if your team is being overpowered. If you want mindless fighting, this game is for you.

Pathetic. I am on a server right now where the blue team is the only team that can capture territory. Even when the red team goes into empty territory, the progress bar goes up as if we were the blue team. Quality assurance at its finest.

No new or interesting equipment + a boring game + rewards that arent "worth it" = a short lived mini game.

Nothing mentioned about cutting the crap and giving us more high level content. 92 is halway to 99, but the highest weapon requirements aren't even level 80... The new CEO sounds somewhat exciting, but doesn't seem to really adress the huge things this game is missing. And, free players getting more content doesn't seem promising... Who knows whats going to happen though, over the past 6 months theres been so many Jagex "promises" that have been changed around. First, they said we would get one headline update every month, with one smaller update. Then they said they were giving us pictures each month of whats coming next month. Looking forward to a post two months from now saying "We actually lost a lot of small children members, so now the theme of the game is purple dinosaurs!"

Its not my responsibility to bless a stranger's grave. Also, the way I amuse myself is my own business. I thought the point of a game is to have fun, not to ensure that everybody in the game lives happily ever after. Theres no reason to ever die in this game, and if you do its your own fault. The only cases in which it isnt your own fault is from a disconnect, which would make your gravestone disappear anyway. And unless they ever actually lose their items from their death theyre never going to learn not to be an idiot if they want to keep their stuff.

One thing I always loved about this game was its rediculously high pentalty for death. It made the game hilarious, and lead to oh so many LOL moments where some dumb noob wandered into aberrant specters and got destroyed, earning me a free dragon med. I guess its still funny though when some idiot dies fighting dharok and I see the 1 minute grave marker pop up. "Too bad for him" I say to myself, and then laugh knowing that his hard earned items are gone forever and he hates it so much. Actually, it might be funnier that way...since now I dont gain anything but the lulz and he loses everything he had....hmm. :-k

Its funny that the first reply answered the question completely but the OP hasnt been able to understand what you wrote here... There used to be a random where your axe head would fly off, and you were left with an axe handle. Now it is gone, and there are no axe heads or axe handles in the game. We are saying that theyll probably do the same thing with broken axes.

Your stats are fine for DKs, but are you planning on going alone or with a team? If you are going alone the only thing you would be doing is using mage on Dagannoth Rex. At DKs you either mage Rex or do melee/range on supreme and prime. If you are going with a group I would suggest that you first learn how to do the role of the mage. Then you can hybrid once you get used to the environment. It IS possible to do a mage/range hybrid completely ignoring supreme, but I wouldnt suggest it. If you are a hybrid you typcially at least want to be wearing a karil top, plus accumulator. Being mage/range would mean you need to switch your top and cape slots between kills which doesn't really appeal to me.

By your logic, you have no right to complain about "people boo hooing about slayer exp" because you are not one of them. Also, according to your logic, citizens of a country have no right to vote for their leader unless they have already been the leader of a country.

Till this game releases some new high level PVE content, I wont be playing it much over WoW. Every day I see tons of people in full bandos, fire cape, DFS, fury...running around destroying their slayer tasks. Tons of people have the best gear out there and we use it in places that dont even call for it. I mean, usually I find myself in Prayer armor on tasks, using offensive prayers and healing just fine with Unicorn alone. We need some new stuff for high levels.

Combat familiars are good. If there was a piece of equipment that let you hit +10 higher than you do now, how much do you think thatd be worth? Many familiars hit way above 10 every time they engage in combat. One additional 10-20 per combat goes a long long way... Also I think the time delay on the familiar attacking is based on their attack rate. The Phoenix has very little delay between its attacks and I have noticed it to attack almost as soon as I engage the monster.

Doesn't sound like it's "disgusting". Perhaps it's just not technically possible. That's the thing with many of these updates - one of the major reasons that we moved to the new RS2 engine was so that POH could be properly supported. The trick with planning is that things change. Before you go on a rant about how easy it is to program something like that, stop to consider the technical limitations before going off on Jagex. Why not just add whatever coding they made for the "friends" list, and just make it say "clan list". That alone would add more clan support than there is currently. Clan chat just isnt the same because the only way you can restrict non-clan mates from joining is by having the people on their friends list, which limits the clan chat leader either to a low number of non-clan friends or a low number of clan members.

I find it purely disgusting that they first talked about having official clan support way back in 2001...and it still isn't in the game.

This. As long as I put a willow longbow in the trade menu and it says anything higher than the general store value, prices are wrong. If these prices of mass produced goods are wrong, it lets people have "street" prices of high end items. Get rid of junk values, and all high-value items will have no choice but to correct themselves to actual street trade. Get rid of junk=get rid of junk trading. Get rid of junk trading=all trade through the GE=GE prices established by actual trade value.

I'd just like to apologize for anything I have written about devaluing your achievement. It is important that you understand that my original remarks were not meant to hurt or offend you in any way. Obviously, they did, and it was not my intention, nor do I think I said anything "wrong", but all that matters is that you interpreted it as an attack on you and thus I am sorry for it. My original intention was not meant to make you feel bad for what you are doing or try to persuade you to get members or stop playing the game. I just wanted to show that not everybody has to like something just because it was a long grind in this game. I can understand how you could think I was being mean, but I really didn't have any intention on that. What I should have written originally is this: I don't see how you can be content and proud to be a F2Per, but if it is what floats your boat than go for it. This isn't my personal taste in what is good about Runescape, but if you are really doing this and its making you happy then don't let me rain on your parade.

You have a whopping 7.5m experience, total, across all of your skills. Your total experience in all your time playing this game adds up to a little over HALF of what it takes to get one 99 skill. If you've been playing for 3 years, and don't have any 99 skills, AND barely have HALF the overall exp for ONE 99 skill, I dont think you have the authority to talk about how people develop a high level character. Lets see...you don't spend tons of money in Runescape...you observe that people with 99s spend tons of money...you dont have any 99s...and you don't understand why good players spend money. Seems pretty obvious to me why someone would want to spend money.
