hmmm...tried to go solo bandos with the suggested setup and a bandos godsword. I had tried two weeks ago with a whip. That had been a disaster. I didn't have piety back then or a godsword. So I thought I would try again. I had now the same problem though. I got hit a lot and couldn't even make a dent in the boss monster, let alone kill it. Super-setted. Piety on. Melee protect prayer on. I ate an inventory of sharks and his hp bar wasn't even 10% down. Was I just very unlucky in my hits? 95 att 96 str 99 def 98 hp 83 magic

It's worth it, but not necessary. I did slayer 80 without guthans. But back then guthans was actually still really expensive.

I had a bit of a scare some time ago... People kept being added to my friend's list. People I didn't know. Did all the usual things: checked virus scanner, firewall, last IP log in. It kept happening. At one point I had narrowed down to a single possible cause. My baby daughter sitting on my lap pushing random buttons on my keyboard.

I also always end up with the same amount of loops and teeth. However, maybe it is because we tend to do the higher end of the monster list with slayer? At least I do.

After hanging out a bit in merchanting chats and checking the charts for the effects of their actions, I came to the conclusion merchanting clans influence prices more than I thought, and probably more than most people think.

kind of funny. I bought bandos chestplate two days ago as an impulse buy. Haven't even had a chance to wear it because I keep getting prayer tasks or magic defense tasks. And to come back to the topic. I made the 12 million in a week with slayer, farming, collecting cactus spines each time I play (free 9k each time with one teleport), and a little bit of merchanting. (actually made more than 12M)

Greater demons drop a lot of crimsons. They aren't very tough. Often crowded. Wild dogs, but above lvl 127 there is no problem with them. But to be honest, if you just continue slaying you will have enough charms in no time.

I go around like this: standard outfit: Slayer helmet Guthan body Dragon platelegs/skirt (you honestly don't need more defense for most tasks). RoW Rune defender Abyssal whip Dragon boots Dragon gloves (never did desert treasure). Skill cape amulet of fury For some tasks I exchange the guthan body and d legs with black d hide, such as Aberrant specters and Bloodvelds Speed up some tasks with a cannon if you have money to waste. And you will have money to waste when you hit higher slayer levels. For most tasks a bunyip is used. I recommend still having a full guthan because sometimes it's easier to clean up a task with guthans. You only have 40 or so to go and you have just banked. You don't got back with another bunyip, but take some cheap food and guthans. The thing is to develop your own style, and get the equipment that suits your style. Buy the bandos body and tassets if you want. If it fits with your style. I would go with some standard equipment till you discover your style. The key to slayer is persistence, not equipment. ps. waste some money on crafting if you haven't got the level to do slayer rings. And definitely waste money on summoning if you don't have level 68.

1 in 500 sounds right. My longest dry streak was 11 tasks. that's close to 2000 demons without a whip. I never had more than 2 whips for one task. Usually it is none or one.

tele'ing is never wasted money since you are getting experience.

Don't use D med when slaying. Use a black mask or slayer helmet.

Cannons usually don't stay that long anyway. It isn't worth to get upset about when one comes. By carefully choosing your targets as a meleer vs a cannon'eer, you can actually make a dent in the opponents experience gathering. That is, if your stats are high enough. And then it becomes an amusing pass time: trying to annoy the cannon'eer.

I think I joined either late 2004 or early 2005. I honestly can't remember. I do know I found runescape through miniclip. Back then runescape was full with scammers, bots and beggers. It was easier to make friends back then, because there was more need for public chat, since there wasn't a clan chat. So you could stop at moments to join a conversation during an activity. That doesn't really happen often any more. That said, I like the current Runescape much better than the old one. GE made our lives so much easier. We have so many new skills. So much more possibilities to train, so much more equipment which allows for personal choices. I love the current state of the game. I had very bad experiences in the beginning due to excessive scamming. A game should relax you, and entertain you. That's what the current version does more than the one I started with. I actually quit Runescape for almost a year because I started to find it frustrating and annoying, but came back because of the changes implemented by Jagex such as the GE. And I truly started liking the game again. The community has become professional. People tend to know what they are doing. People tend to wear optimal outfits for tasks. And when not on tasks they love to 'dress up'. It's great walking through the different parts of Runescape and see the community at work.

if you buy a SS make sure you check the grand exchange for price fluctuations. It is a prime item for merchanting clans to do some speculating on. Which means the price goes up and down. If you are really tight on money it might be worth while to try to aim your purchase in one of the dips instead of at a peak. Currently I wouldn't buy one for this reason alone if your money is tight. It went up 140k today because of speculating.

The annoying thing is that you will get logged out before you finished a full inventory of sharks. That's just plain wrong. You shouldn't be logged doing a legal activity on runescape; that is fishing or woodcutting. The countdown timer should in these situations start after you get a full inventory of fish/wood/etc. Why do we have to keep clicking something when we are doing a normal activity on runescape? That just doesn't make sense.

How is it impossible. You just get the gree grees the way you got it during the quest. You run at the gate, get shot down, jailed, escape, find small boy, give him bananas when grandma is away, get new tally. Then you have to get the dentures and what-not probably and get it enchanted. Wrong. You can buy tallies from one of the stores there. (1k each if I remember correctly) No dentures needed. Just a monkey bone or body. Then go for enchantment to the geezer at the end of the tunnel. edit oh pffft...forgot that he doesn't have a geegree at all!!! So he can't go to the store!! my bad

If you have access to slayer ring, use slayer ring and dueling ring. ´ Aberrant specters have suddenly moved next to the bank (assuming you can climb the chain). Use cheap food, almost full inventory, but not completely ( use trout). Use bunyip of terror bird (with more cheap food). Whip and defender. Black dragon. Slayer helmet. Fury. RoW. Take one dose of superdefence, super att and super str. Make sure you have superdefence. Get a full load of herbs/nice stuff, or just empty your food. If you have cactus, tele sometimes to Al Kharid with the dueling ring, to pick some cactus spines (9k profit), then bak to castle wars. Bank. Cheap food. One dose super att/def/str. rinse and repeat. 200-300k+ per task profit. 3 rounds tops. Last round you can finish with your regular prayer points if you are close to finishing but run out of food. It's my favourite task.

You can reach hobgoblin peninsula easily with the Necklace of Skills. It teleports you to the front door of the crafting guild. Take a dueling ring as well and you go back and forth quite easily. I usually use the respawn time to kill hobgoblins which frequently drop limpwurt roots.

I prefer the SS over scimmy and defender. I tried both and the SS just hits a little bit harder at the same speed. That adds up in the end. I also never take a DDS with me for special so I like the SS because it actually has a special you can use. Although it sometimes hits 0. Still better than nothing because when I was training with a whip I would never bother with a DDS on most slayer tasks. (the only time I bother with a DDS is when I am melee'ing metal dragons)

So is there anyone who actually ever had a rannar seed drop from aberrant specters? Because I would like to know if I am truly special never having them, or if everybody is just repeating what the previous guy said.

If you really insist on rannar seeds (maybe you can't farm snapdragon) I think you are stuck with mossies and earth warriors. Not specters. Specters do drop a whole lot of rannar herbs. And wear a RoW.

I've never seen an aberrant specter drop a rannar seed. And I killed thousands.

the ones in the wildy near the ardy teleport thingie are always abandoned.
