why play runescape? Just don't log on. Much more efficient ways to spend real money/hour. Why do it slowly with runescape. Some people like doing slayer. Some people like range. Some people like ranging slayer. That's all there is to it.

Exactly what I am doing right now. Almost maxed out. 98->99 att is the only melee still to level. I started with ranging whatever slayer task I can range.

how much faster is void compared to armadyl?

That's interesting. So jagex actually did do something about the price of the rares. Just don't know if it was designed this way.

sure, but I have been running past them for months before I got a dust devil task. And now I suddenly get them all the time.

I think it used to be about slayer monsters in areas that are unlocked. But why did I suddenly started getting dust devils after more than a year of never getting them? I still haven't done desert treasure, and I purposely avoided doing it because of this reason, . Around the same time I also started to get mith dragons. I hadn't unlocked that dungeon either. I think they changed something a few months ago.

RWTers ruin the game for everybody. Hackers ruin the game for individuals. Timmy tried to kill my game. And yours. Nothing we can do about it. We can do something about hackers ourselves. He doesn't feel sorry about trying to kill our game. That's regrettable.

Games necklace in inventory - for teleporting to bounty hunter bank and to barbarian outpost for waterfiends. I use bunyip, but apparently you can't. So go with the previous poster's advice and take food and prayer pots. Not sure how long you can last with that. They hit reasonably hard and regularly. They occasionally drop a cooked shark, but not that often. They do drop uncooked lobbies and sharks as well, but you can't eat those without a bunyip and a scroll, and the required cooking level. :( Very decent drops though. You always make a nice profit. And lots of crimsons.

Of course with a bit better stats you can afk them under the lighthouse wearing some decent armour. So see it all as a temporary problem.

for Melee Wear Karils. (for magic defense). (black d'hide if you can't afford it) Use melee prayer protection. Use a leafbladed sword: stab attack style. Anti-fire pot, super set Sharks. Some prayer pots.

An expensive alternative to bringing guthans along with a bunyip is bringing an SGS. The nice thing about SGS is that you can stick out the 0.3 part of the task quite nicely with the spec...usually. And the combination SGS and bunyip means you can do black demons tasks with two or three prayer doses. (you use prayer protect when your health goes down below 50. Bunyip heals you. SGS spec heals you and adds prayer when you are not prayer protecting). I completely agree that just sticking with guthan skirt and body is more economical as lugging along torags. That said, since I usually bring an SGS instead of guthans I tend to vary my outfit more based on whim. I tend to wear verac skirt instead of guthan skirt, but a guthan platebody. It's mainly because of the prayer benefit because I tend to pray during tasks as well (free melee bonus). And if the opposition is weak I bring verac body instead of guthan as well. And sometimes I just vary for the sake of it. I do actually own torag legs and body, and sometimes wear it, but then it is just for fun. I also love my karils. It seems to work better than black d'hide. Great for those tasks where you need magical defense.

d skirt or legs are fine for most slayer tasks in combination with a barrows body. And for that you can just use the guthan body since you have that set anyway.

Their crimson drop rate is very low - and no really good way to kill them. It isn't low. It is way above average. He will have trouble killing water fiends. In the time he kills one water fiend he probably kills several greater demons. He will get many more crimsons with demons than fiends. greater demons are easily meleed with standard equipment.

The topic starter is maxed out in melee skills. So there isn't a lot of profit to be had from raising skills. I like the psychological types of advice mentioned in this thread. See slayer as a bonus to the combat experience. etc. But then again, he is already maxed out. Cheap way to collect charms? Farming sidekick? become a master piety flasher? PS. cat666, did you notice how close we are in slayer rank!!

1.5M slayer exp isn't that bad. A few weeks with your combat level playing reasonable hours. Try doing 85-99.

I usually need only 4 prayer pots per spiritual mage task and I usually take 5 or 6 (76 prayer, holy wrench). Then 2 super att and str. Proselyte. As a zammy item I just take unholy symbol. Prayer bonus. I don't have any other zammy items. Something to tele. Don't bother with an enchanted gem because there is a kill counter in GWD.
