I tank iron dragons with 99 defense. Try that with 80 defense.

Try a good cheap drawing pad like the Bamboo One. It's a nice change from the mouse, with high precision but none of the strain on the wrist. Because it is like holding a pen.

I carry the sgs with me on almost all tasks (excluding dragons). That includes ranging tasks. I use the special mostly to top off prayer. That way I can use a 5% or 10% prayer special. For free. For slayer the SGS is a valuable tool. Especially if you tank a lot like I do.

If you cancel a task, all bets are off. You can get the same task again, since you never finished the first one.

Obviously they can't detect some of the new macro-systems the minute they are launched. However, after some time the system will most likely be detected and added to the list of 'all' macro-systems. Therefore they know all macro-systems. The main limiting principle here is time. And this isn't a problem since new macro-systems will not be used by the masses. Just a few select few. Once it is started to be used my many people the chances of Jagex detecting it increases. And the promise is fulfilled. To be honest I find the entire drama around whether all means all rather silly. Propaganda? That would be if they say they do their best to eliminate macro'ers and do the opposite. They actually do their best to eliminate all macro'ers. They missed one or two? So what? In science 100% isn't 100.0% either. 100% doesn't actually have to mean all either. Let's keep a perspective here. They promise they will detect all macro systems. Which should be read as the most common ones. That's all they need to do. Who cares whether they fail to see the fringe. And once the fringe becomes the norm, they will be able to detect those. Case closed.

The only good macro'er is a banned macro'er.

People have been asking for the leadership of Runescape to explain what happened. Now they did. My curiousity was satisfied. They tried to fix the bug as quickly as possible because they thought it would inconvenience us the least. Unfortunately there were some unforeseen consequences. They could have gone back to the old code and work on it for some months behind the scenes. They thought this would be better. Aren't we all human? And there simply was no solution that would have pleased everybody. I'm grateful they took the time to explain the serious of events that led to all the excitement. The circus has now left town. Now we can stop moaning and just enjoy the game.

Being close to 97 slayer I have had every task way too many times. It really doesn't matter if I get one twice in a row.

What's wrong with getting the same slayer task twice in a row. It's not like it makes any difference in the long run.

Excellent opening post. Well written. I stopped doing herblore at one point when I realized I losing so much money. I was using herbs I was getting with farming and slayer for leveling herblore. So technically I just needed the secondary ingredients, which made herbloring affordable. When I started selling my herbs instead of using them for leveling herblore my bank account started growing rapidly. Soon I got an SGS, DFS, bandos etc. I only keep kwuarms and ranarrs at the moment for making pots for my own use. I still have copious amounts of super att, anti-fire, super def etc.

Why don't you just WC for an hour and see how much you make? You know already how much you make from mining essence. You could always go to secondary profitable methods. There are about a million of them. Farming. Slayer. Collecting Snape grass (or other secondary ingredients for herblore). Herb drops from chaos druids. etc etc etc etc

I sometimes do them in GWD, but I don't think it is more efficient, except that it isn't crowded, so you don't lose time with people 'stealing' 'your' spot.

Skirts aren't for girls. They are unisex. Legs aren't for boys. They are unisex. Look at how all the leveled out players are using bandos. It's a skirtier skirt than d skirt, yet nobody associates these with 'girls'.

Iron dragons is a nice task. You can tank those with the help of only a little usage of prayer pots. Pure profit.

Use black d-hide as an alternative to karils, and any crush weapon.

If you are willing to buy seaweed from a character, you can just as well buy vials from the shop. Same thing.

Lighthouse. I don't even need a bunyip there. nice afking.

I was using the SS for a while when training strength. I quite liked that, because it makes a different sound than the whip. I liked the special also. Lightning. Can't go wrong with that. But obviously I knew I wasn't getting the maximum experience. After I got 99 str I switched back to the whip.

I don't think inuashakent has experienced the grinding factor of slayer yet. He isn't even halfway. ;)

SGS.. free prayer - use burst of strength (doable for most of the time without topping up with prayer pots) or superhuman strength (you will need to add prayer from prayer pots for that) on tasks. 5 or 10% str bonus. free healing - makes all the difference for high hitting monsters if you don't have a pony (unicorn). It often makes the difference between restocking and staying put in your slayer training spot.

Standard outfit: Whip and defender. SGS for special. DFS if you are tanking.

I don't think it is possible to tell in advance how many you need to kill to get an accurate drop rate. You will have to collect data and then do some statistical analysis on the data to test whether the results are significant, and what kind of distribution you are dealing with, and if you have done enough sampling.

You can also use it for tanking black demons etc. Saves prayer pots.
