  1. Don't do black dragons. You will die from boredom. Fire giants are nice quest free monsters that give decent experience and income. Anyway..you have to put some work in to make money. Raise your levels first, then make money.
  2. Slayer gets really profitable once you go above lvl 80 and are maxed melee. loot + slayer points + low maintenance.
  3. Ring of Wealth considerably will increase your income from slayer. Combat rings add a small percentage to speed. take you pick I pick RoW.
  4. Pfft.. I was wearing d skirt for a long long time while slaying. I started wearing barrows because at one point I simply had too much money to spend. Most slayer monsters aren't really that tough. You do save a lot of money after months of slaying if you use dragon armour. It is absolutely a valid option.
  5. I had full armadyl for a while, but didn't think it was worth it. Especially after the moment I died and more than 30M was lying on the floor (ranger boots as well).
  6. You can stick with glory for a while. Money will get better the higher your slayer level will get. 2.7M isn't always going to be a lot of gp.
  7. Just block what you hate doing. Otherwise don't block anything.
  8. Without bunyip you can still use the food method. Just take better food.
  9. I absolutely agree on the not praying: it is absolutely unnecessary! See the outfit selections´in the quote: absolutely fine. An alternative strategy is to carry a Ring of Dueling and Slayer ring (in your inventory - you wear RoW). Add some cheap food, say 10-20 salmon depending on your defense levels. Drink super att, super str, super def. (Bring a single dose or do it next to the bank and deposit the vials). Tele to slayer tower. Go up to the spectres. Activate your bunyip. Kill till your inventory is full (everything above aventoe/harralander). Tele to CW chest. Bank inventory. Dose up. Add 10-20 salmon. Tele back to slayer tower. You hardly lose any time and you can bank up to harralander. Good profit. No pots needed. Alternatively tele to POH and tank up on prayer. Prayer you can need for strength/defense/attack bonus. Wherever your weakness lies.
  10. No. I have an equal amount of crimsons and golds after doing slayer for a long long time. And I have used crimsons to level summoning until now. So technically I had more crimsons than golds. So crimsons > golds > greens > blues. An easy monster for crimsons are greater demons. Maybe the drop rate is slightly lower than black demons, but they are so easy to kill (if wild dogs don't bother you, or the crowds).
  11. Regarding herb farming: it doesn't really take much time to raise it to the required levels. And for some it is actually fun: the challenge of raising your stat so you can do something productive. give it a try.
  12. For slaying at your level all you need is rune armour, a legend cape or something similar, a d scimmy or long, black d hide. And an assortment of cheap stuff such as glory, climbers boot etc. It's impossible not to make a profit with slayer if you don't buy stuff you don't necessarily need. And farm herbs!
  13. Time is also money. I usually at least break even. Mostly a small profit.
  14. Melee is fastest.
  15. lol...yes, i meant that.
  16. proselyte monkey wrench whip rune defender slayer helmet (i use unholy symbol as Zammie item) d boots RoW Super att and str (2x) Only bring 5-7 prayer pots. You don't need more. Pick up most runes. It's not much money, but your inventory is pretty much mostly empty. It will all end up after a few tasks. Flash a bit once in a while and 3-4 prayer pots are enough.
  17. This isn't about java coding, it's about statistics. I'm discussing the very obvious patterns I've seen over tends of thousands of recorded hit spreads, which sees all is completely ignoring in favor of the 'it's a simple pseudo-random generator' theory, which is unquestionably wrong. Since I am probably one of the few real researchers playing runescape I can easily state that this is a typical statement of the unscientific mind. Authority is not evidence. Belief is not evidence. The opening post clearly provided a hypothesis that is backed up by a model. Hence it can never be unquestionable wrong. It contains indirect evidence for the position put forward in the opening post.
  18. If you are worried about your wrists get a drawing pad. For instance the "Bamboo One" is small and cheap and can be used as a mouse replacement. It takes some getting used to, but it is fine after a while. My wrist complaints disappeared completely after I switched to one. I still use a mouse on another computer but the mouse time has been reduced so much that it doesn't bother me any more. You change the position of your wrist because you are holding a pen. For some reason it is a bit more natural than a mouse. No clue why. And on the topic of nerfing. I think prayer was nerfed when the POH altar came into the game. I can still remember how laborious the process was via the ecto method. And of course this already nerfed prayer from when it was only possible to bury bones. Imagine that was still the only option. :ohnoes:
  19. cheap: black d-hide terror bird salmon.
  20. I think that the new route-finding might have messed up some situations. Currently I am doing abyssal demons and regularly the attack stops while the demons appears to stand next to me. It is as if there is an invisible wall. This wasn't the case yesterday when I was doing the same activity.
  21. HP is automatically trained when doing combat skills. :?
  22. scientific scaper. That's not science. It would be science if you would device experiments that clarify the underlying rules of runescape. Such as the combat calculator. Or the effect of the RoW. You write a hypothesis: the combat calculator uses the following parameters to calculate the combat level (or max hit). You then test whether your formula can accurately predict real values under all circumstances.

If we had free will we wouldn't be playing runescape.
  24. I just did d hide crafting. Went pretty quick.
