10-Feb-2009 Soul Wars Minigame
I'm really disappointed with this minigame. I think they need to impliment a team-splitting mechanism similar to what they have in SC - this way, one team doesn't completely over-power the other. Now, I'm definently not a sore loser. If I'm fighting against someone 1-on-1, they clearly have the upperhand, and I die, I won't complain. But this minigame is totally unfair. The team with more lower-level players doesn't even stand a chance. The more powerful team instantly takes control of the obelisk, and it pretty much stays that way for the rest of the game. Our team (blue) wasn't even really bothering to try and take over the obelisk after a certain point... Pl0x fix nao. (I do like the 4.2K HP exp per point though :D)

Thank you! Well, the one aspect of the whole game that I really dislike is combat... so it's a wonder in itself that I'm level 93  I'd rather sell my account than work on combat ;-; I am getting more into working on leveling my stats though... I'm kind of tired of them being low-ish. - - - Uploaded a few Treasure Trail reward pictures.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
It's just tough sometimes to have a serious debate with a very religious person. Often times, the conversation ends when the "God says so" is thrown out there. It makes for a one-sided debate. I've experienced this personally in my life. One of my co-workers (who happens to be my boss) is very religious. We often get into debates on serious subjects, mainly about abortion. I put a lot of effort into explaining my point of view on the subject. I'm not trying to convince her to side with me, but I do make very logical arguments about being pro-choice. After all of this, she looks at me and says, "It's a sin." And that's that. That's the problem I think most people have with religious people: more often-than-not, they don't seem to comprehend the fact that not everyone believes in their deity. But I'd never call a religious person a bigot just for being religious.

THE HISTORY of SERPENTS: a blog
Please be warned that I haven't had time to fix my main page after the conversion to the new forums took place. A LOT of the stuff looks a bit wonky -- please bear with me, I will fix these eventually! THE HISTORY of SERPENTS a blog TABLE OF CONTENTS About Me RuneScape History Skills and Levels Goals Other Pictures Tip.it Forums Acknowledgements [hide=About Me]Well, I'm incredibly bad at describing myself for starters, so I'll make the best attempt possible! My name is Jeremy, but all of my online friends call me Bea (the nickname has quite a history itself, one I don't have time to explain!) I'm twenty-one years old, and I'm a manager at a local movie theater. I'm a workaholic, but when I do manage to snag a day or two off from work, I spend it reading, watching movies (I said I managed a day off... not that I managed to stay away from my place of work...), or wasting my life away online. Books are my real passion. I love reading. Give me something with words on it, and I'll read it. I do have an affinity for teen fantasy-fiction, but I'll take a dip in any genre-pool. My favorite authors are J. K. Rowling, Tamora Pierce, Cate Tiernan, and the late Michael Crichton - who is a god! I'll take the risk of calling myself a very funny guy. I love to make people laugh. I have a very dirty mind, a very dirty mouth, and a very sarcastic and cynical sense of humor. I'm also very friendly, and I'll admit, a bit loony. At work I walk around singing all the time, and running down the hallways shouting "For Narnia!!!" But that's just how I roll.[/hide] [hide=RuneScape History]My older brother was the one who introduced me to RuneScape. I first started playing around the time RSC was coming to a close, and beta tests of RS2 were being run. Serpent_Eye was the first character I made, followed by a few other random characters - Serpent_Fang, a miner, and Mr 512, a fisher. Both characters have long been lost. The early days were quite lonely, I'll admit. The only people I knew that played RuneScape were my older brother, who I couldn't obviously play with, and my brother's friend. Shortly after I started playing, I made my first two long-time RuneScape friends - Ichew and Bleed Blue. They were both so helpful, always giving me advice and when needed, even a small loan (in Ichew's case, after I got hacked.) I'll always be grateful to Ichew's help. He doesn't play any longer, but we still keep in contact. And I'm happy to say, out of the blue, after several years of no word from him, I was shocked to see the message "Bleed Blue has logged in" pop up the other night! To me, RuneScape isn't about having the highest skill level, or the most amount of money. I've been playing for all of these years on this one account, and I'm only 90+ combat, any my highest skill (Strength) tops out at a meager 75. But every day I play I have fun. I don't usually stick to one skill for very long; I'll pick a quick task for one skill, complete it, and then move on to a completely different skill. (Although I'm a very patient person, I've never understood how people can work on a single skill for days on end.) In all honesty, I would still have fun if all of my skills reverted back to 1, and I lost all of my items and cash. I've been an on-and-off member for several years now. Some of the skills I find most enjoyable are Farming, Cooking, and Hunter.[/hide] SKILLS AND LEVELS [hide=Combat Level]Combat Level: 101/94[/hide] [hide=Skills]I'll do my best to update this on a weekly basis - I'm too lazy to update it every time I level something. Quick Farming question. (Solved.)
'elo. Wondering if anyone could provide some help with a quick Farming-related question! I'm wanting to go through my bank and pre-pot all of my tree and fruit tree seeds. This way, when one of my trees grows and it's time to plant another, I can just remove one of the pre-potted seedlings and not have to wait the cycle that it normally takes for the seeds to sprout. I was just wondering if the potted seedlings would die whilst waiting in my bank. Any advice? Thank you!

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
I know someone has already previously quoted this bit from you, but I too am somewhat confused as to what you're implying by this. What significance does it have with the overall argument? After all, on the opposite side of the coin, heterosexuality is something that can be ignored. If you're a male who is naturally attracted to women, you can ignore this "primal hungering" of yours and choose to be with another man. I just don't see what relevancy it has. (I know you quoted several people in the post this quote comes from, so perhaps it's just the continuation of a conversation that I missed...) I strongly, strongly disagree with you here. Why would you frown upon the fact that someone is living their life? By your same logic, straight people make the choice to follow the "primal hungering" to be with people of the opposite sex - should this be frowned upon as well? What "implications" are you talking about? Homosexuals going to some sort of hell? Edit: I disagree with you on the last quote, because from how I read it, you're sounding very self-righteous and condecending. To me, it's coming off that you're saying, "For your sake, you'd better realize that your choice to be gay will have some serious consequences..." I'm not going to hide who I am, or pretend to be something I'm not, just so I won't go to some fictional hell that I don't even believe in.

Meat lovers vs. Vegetarians
Thread appreciates your in-depth contribution. :twss: Is it so hard to grasp the fact that some people don't think animals are delicious? :/
-
Meat lovers vs. Vegetarians
I'm not meaning to suggest that we all go around eating cattle-feed. I'm just saying, the facts speak for themselves: it's easier and more cost-effective to feed people on a plant-based diet. I definently agree with you here. However, what people need to understand is that if we didn't eat meat, we wouldn't have billions and billions of livestock animals alive in this country. We would still have cows and chickens and pigs, yes, but they would be smaller and smaller amounts than what we have now. And I'm not suggesting that we don't feed livestock animals, use the food for ourselves, and let them starve to death. I'm saying, if there weren't so many livestock animals to feed, we could use those grains to go a long way in feeding people.

Meat lovers vs. Vegetarians
People don't seem to understand, however, that it takes a lot less resources to produce vegetables for human consumption. I'm totally making these numbers up, but think about it this way: It takes 10 pounds of corn to feed and sustain a single cow. This one cow, when slaughtered, provides 1 pound of edible meat for 1 person. In essence, you use 10 pounds of plant matter to provide meat for one person. If you took out the middle-man (or, middle-cow), you could simply use the 10 pounds of corn to feed 10 people, at 1 pound each. It's really cost-effective.
