I don't think that England is the greatest country in the world. I think that we have crap loads of problems and a LOT of issues to deal with, especially in Government, but I am very fond of England and the UK as a whole. Yet, despite how much I may hate my country sometimes, I'm very proud to be British. It's the mentality where I can say whatever I want about my country, I can point out all it's flaws and call the Prime Minister a spade, but if someone from ANOTHER country comes along and tries... then I will defend the UK to the teeth. I think this is quite a popular feeling and one that was exemplified when many right-wing Americans took a swing at our NHS as an example of how social healthcare would 'fail'. We all, at one point in our lives, have complained about the NHS. Bloody waiting times, bloody crap doctors, never get a bloody appointment... but when our NHS was insulted, we came out in droves to defend it because, despite all it's problems, it's something we love. Just like our country.

Technically, though, all names are rare since all names are equal in that there can only be one of them... so yeah... there *are* no rare names, just popular ones :P

Let's see, the parliament has a majority of women, and our president and prime minister are women. I still agree that it's not equal though, women still earn less. Well that's great. But looking at the American and UK Governments... supposedly 'progressive' and 'fair' countries...

The old Dumbledore was just... perfect... but tbh even if he hadn't died, I'm not sure he would have been able to pull of the EPIC DUMBLEDORE that comes out in OotP & HBP. I didn't like the second Dumbledore at first, but I guess he *kind* of grew on me. As for the train... the trio aren't anywhere near Hogwarts so they're (and therefore we're) not really aware of anything like that happening. So looks like some crap they added in <_<

I'd say Runecrafting is a difficult skill, but a great moneymaker in the long run and should help for expensive skills like prayer.

I agree with Das. Men still aren't equal to women and there is still oppression of women across the world. Men *don't* need a day when they already run the country. Just take a look at your governments, how many women are there? Look at the CEO's of companies, how many women are there? While I don't think patriarchy is as powerful as it once was, there is a *reason* why Women have a day, to celebrate independence from being slaves to men. Men don't need that, they were never slaves.

I actually kind of like the idea of this. It might help make different quest series feel less entirely separate. I don't want them everywhere, but I like the idea :)

My opinion of the series quickly degenerated from 3-5. OotP is such a failure - a real horrible failure. I, on principle, hate the movies since the books are far superior. But, I actually thought HBP was really well done. I think they managed to fit in what was needed (aside from making the whole vanishing cabinet plot really... drawn out and obvious). I'm very excited for DH and even moreso that they're making it in parts. Anything that lets them pay more attention to the detail and stop raping the original books is good to me. I can't wait for it. It's very much a love-hate thing for me. I really enjoy seeing the books made into movies, but I REALLY hate what they do to the books in the process. STOP ADDING IN NEW CRAP FFS!!! :angry: I am a die hard Harry Potter fan so... :P
