  1. Moved to the correct forum, help and advice :)
  2. No I'm not sure you get shared XP from skill doors anyway
  3. If I'm duoing with a friend, I'm usually the key holder, but in wider groups I'm generally just a battle mage helping out where I can :)
  4. Sig / Avatar / Banner: Signature Size: About 420x180? Anything really. Main image: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y214/12345rachael/db16795ac89fd0b785c086f8243c9d8d.jpg Text: No text thanks :) Thanks in advance <3
  5. I never said that they're not a good business. I said that they annoy me because they're essentially taking freely available humour on the internet, then monetising it. Just because they're 'good businessmen', doesn't mean they can't piss me off.
  6. I'll always hop, however if someone crashes me I'll not budge unless they just take over my spot then it's kind of redundant to fight a losing battle. How many times I'll hop depends on my mood, I'll generally hop quite a few times because once I've got what I want to do in my mind, I want to do it. However, sometimes I do just think 'what's the point?' and give up.
  7. I go... wait a second... it's light outside now! Then I go... HOLY [cabbage] I'M GOING TO DIIIIIEEEEEE. And then die
  8. My brother can rack up 1GB a day in YouTube videos, so just be careful. Streaming is a crafty thing since a lot of people tend to get confused and don't think it's 'downloading' it, when it is.
  9. I consider them the BBC of the internet, they are good for general internet culture and a laugh, i don't see no harm  They're nothing like the BBC. They're not funded by taxpayers  They're funded by our humour and get multi-million dollar deals with companies. What work do they do? None. There are sites out there documenting the same memes and humour without making millions from it.
  10. LOL Demonoid. As long as it doesn't go offline that is :P Also The Pirate Bay would never fall. The government are idiots. Streaming online is what non-hardcore pirates do. So, by removing some streaming sites, they're just being pushed towards doing the more 'hardcore' piracy of peer to peer sharing. When you stream, you're not helping anyone else out. When you torrent, you're seeding and helping others download the file. I think the 200GB I've uploaded to keep a 1.00 ratio on that site is a symbol of my determination or resolve or whatever it is. Who knows? In terms of the pirate bay, here's a comparison that's almost entirely too true: Police seizure of servers: 3 days of downtime Owners catching a cold: down for a whole week. It's a symbol of something, that's for sure XD Also ROFL. That comparison kinda sums up TPB too well :P
  11. Got my hair cut! First time in like 4/5 years. Gone from almost at my waist, to this:

  13. I hate Know Your Meme. They make money off us internet folk by monopolising our humour. All they do is sit back and let the internet make the funny for them.
  14. I, as Tip.It's Cheese Lady, cannot understand how you don't like cheese! Y'know, putting aside the fact people have different tastes :P Why don't you like it? CHEESE IS FOOD OF THE GODS! (as long as it's not like, weird blue cheese or something like that :P)
  15. Um... definitely not. I remember reading about this at the time since I recognised some of the domains that got seized. However, I know some of the sites have just moved domains (TV Shack, for example). If there's one thing I dislike, it's so called 'intellectual property' and 'copyright'. While I believe that it is fair for creators to be given the rights to protect their work, I don't think that the monopolization of these rights by money hungry corporations is right or fair. Record companies screw over their artists more than copyright infringers ever do. There is NO evidence proving that copyright infringement has caused a loss of money for the media industries. I believe there was a report a few months back saying that despite what the companies say, there is no real evidence proving that copyright infringement has caused the industry a loss. Also there's the simple fact that no matter how many of these websites they try to pull down, ten more will just pop up.
  16. Well I wear my untrimmed Woodcutting because I couldn't give a flying [bleep] about who else has got it. I spent my own time getting that cape, I put effort into it and I refuse to get some other people who've got it somehow degrade my achievement. The fact that other people have already got this cape doesn't degrade my own achievement in any way.
  17. To me it would have been worse if MMG had gone 'Oh... yeah, that game is kinda better than ours. Runescape is kinda [cabbage]! Hahaha!' Because then everyone would be going RAHRAHRAHHEHATESRUNESCAPE. If he DOESN'T do that, everyone goes RAHRAHRAHRAHHE'SEVILANDUNPROFESSIONAL. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
  18. I'm going to lock this thread if some of you don't stop flaming and trolling. Seriously. If it continues I'll remove ALL the trolling/flaming posts which would unfortunately leave this thread with about one page of posts. I'd rather not, so I'm asking you lot to stop it now. JUST because you prefer to use faster/quicker/high level moneymaking methods, doesn't mean that there aren't any out there. Everyone knows that there are better ways to get money than Cave Slimes, however the OP's point was that these seemingly worthless creatures are actually a viable source of income. Maybe not really high-level income methods, but not everyone wants to do super-fast-elite methods. The OP was just making a valid observation.
  19. Guys. Topic... on... please? :P Well I've definitely not maintained subscription. When I first played I paid via text which cost like £6, almost twice the amount of a debit card. When I got older and got my own card I was paying £3.25 iirc. Then I had to cancel for a month in October of last year since my internet was disconnected. I'm now paying £3.50 and I can't say I'm too fussed. Having the membership makes me feel REQUIRED to play. The things that keep me attached to this game are my obligations here on Tip.It and that I'm paying for membership.
  20. Moved to Help & Advice :)

Running a combo of Avast and Spybot search and destroy is pretty good if you ask me. AVG isn't as bad as people think, imo. I just prefer Avast atm.
  22. Pft for blood and gore you want Higurashi, or Battle Royale :P
  23. All you need to do is write an article, 600+ words, then PM it to me and it'll be added to our list of guest articles to be published. You'd have to come up with your own topic, though. And like it's already been said, it wasn't a review of questing, it was an opinion. And, if people WANT to bash on questing, they're free to.
  24. I don't mean IRL. I mean online. You don't know what sort of person I am on the forums and the person I am on the forums IS what I post. I don't expect to intimidate you by saying I'm a times writer. I would have assumed you already figured that because of the 'Tip.It Times writer' in my signature, and also the fact that I write... for the Times. Also if my writing is so poor, I'd like to see you write an article too. Seriously, we have guest articles on quite often and it would be interested to see a counter article from you. Maybe phobia isn't the perfect word. But like I said, the fear of quests (quest phobia) leads to disliking doing quests. I'm going to ignore your 'article' since that's just a blatant attempt at trying to insult me, which isn't really worth responding to. I do hope that you keep reading the Times, but I can't say that I've learnt anything at all from what you've said because all it is is opinion - which can't really be something improved upon. It means the time of writing/going to press. Articles are written in advance, not on the day of publishing, so it's very possible for facts to be incorrect - something we can't avoid. Ah thanks for clearing that bit up. Yes I do know the articles are written in advance, I just found it a little strange that the author would attempt to guess at the highest level on the date of publishing rather than just saying what the level was at the time of writing. But that's just my opinion. Oh and fyi my original post was not meant to be rude in any way...I was merely saying that I thought there may have been a mistake which is why I said to do a fact check next time maybe. Just wanted to clear that up. ;) Of course, I understand it wasn't being rude. Since we don't have any fact checkers, that does sometimes cause a problem so I get what you mean. I think that the figure used was the one at the time of writing, but I guess it was ambiguously referred to as time of going to press :) I guess you're kinda right there, Das. There aren't many quests at all that are legitimately challenging. Even so, they can be imposing, sometimes, to the point where you're pretty much scared of doing them so you simply avoid them.
  25. Ninja thread is ninja, smelly :P I'm very excited about all this. Dung 1.5 wooo! They also fixed solo logging out, which is epic.
