Yeah it gets narrowed down when you start GCSEs. You usually select which technology, arts, humanities subjects you'll study, eliminating a few. Then you pick 4 AS Levels, which usually drops down to 3 at A2... by this point you generally know which one in specific you want to continue to degree.

Is the paper really that bad? I see lots of British people complaining about various newspapers, but do they truly bend the news or is this just political pandering? Most papers are bad, but The Sun is particularly horrific. It has no shame, really. No shame whatsover. It'll blatantly lie, promote political agendas and bend the idiots of the country to their will.

That only makes sense if you believe in an afterlife. I don't, and therefore i believe that when you die you are basically well, dead, and you go brain dead. So it does not matter if you cause pain for everyone around you because you will not be there to experience it anyway. Existence is only relative to ourselves. If we do not exist then nothing exists. It's got nothing to do with the afterlife and everything to do with not being so selfish. I KNOW that when I'm dead, I'm dead. But their pain won't just disappear when I'm dead, it'll still be heartbreaking for them. They exist, even if I don't.

Try saying that if it was your own child. Pwned. I wouldn't force my child to live if they didn't want to. That's just cruel. "Pwned." Of course you would. Life is what it is, it's limited which means you have to do as much and life as long and full of a life that you can. Wanting to die, while understandable, is stupid. Imagine how many people would be upset, angry, destroyed by your death if you were to kill yourself. Are there really no other options that you have to do that? Really?

It shows the latest 200 by default, but I found that by changing the dates to search between on the advanced search options, you could find your posts during that period (aka, more than the last 200).

It was a Tip.It Times article about something or other, and Andrew came on the forums and threatened Tip.It with legal action for (presumably) slander or whatever. That was a long time ago, though :P Anyway, on topic. I'm not too fussed about the new floors yet, but I'm awaiting the new rewards to see if there's anything good in there that will get me Dunging again. Dungeoneering 1.75 here I come.

Congrat's also! Computer Science is a great course, thoroughly enjoying it up here at Edinburgh Uni' - only trouble is the Maths for me! Had a resit just the other day (went fine thankfully!). Thanks guys! Got back from my results... B in Sociology B in English Lit C in ICT Just what I needed :thumbsup: :thumbsup: I got As on the exams this year, mostly, but my bad performance last year dragged it down. I'm just so happy that I have a future, though :D

Checked UCAS today... "The current status of your Application is: Congratulations! Your place at The University of Salford (S03) to study Computer Science (G400) has been confirmed." :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Providing that's right, I just gotta get my results now! Going down in 20 mins. I'm actually kinda nervous really. If I don't get into University, I'm going to spend my life in a crappy job and living in council houses for the rest of my life :unsure:

I really understand what you mean, Omali. It does my head in too that people can't be patient. Jagex do a lot for the game, it's a gargantuan task to make updates for such a huge, complex game. I think the community expects too much. Sure, Jagex aren't perfect but no company is. I honestly think the Runescape Community needs to learn some patience.

I don't know much about going to high level stuff, but I have quite a horrific incident to recount that scares me when I think about it now. Not long ago I did Desert Treasure. I decided that since I had a high mage level, I'd take on the four bosses with magic. I also just got myself a set of Infinity and I was eager to use it whenever possible so I went to the first boss (the one you kill with earth iirc). I underestimated what to do and when I was just a few LP away from dying, I home-teleported. I got killed as I teled but I died in my home... I was literally split seconds from losing my SoL and Infinity, as well as runes ect... millions of gp's worth of stuff. It terrifies me whenever I think about how close I was, and is a reminder to me to just be more careful. I don't have millions of gp to throw away like that...

We're already Platinum status, Omali :P And people do really need to take a chill pill about this, Jagex don't update big whoop - there's plenty of other things on Runescape. You've done everything? Okay, there's plenty of stuff on the internet then. Go find something else to do.

I have to say Magic is the best skill for these various reasons: It can be used for so many things, both combat and non-combat It's more fun casting spells than it is smacking with a whip repeatedly, imo There are ways to make money with it (humidify/alching) There's a huge variety of spells It's just *the* most fun way to play in any minigame It's almost essential in travelling Runescape fast, with the three spellbooks you've got teleports going all over The armour you wear using it is SO sexy! Water Infinity ftw <3 You couldn't go a day in Runescape without using magic (eg teleports)

School doesn't start until September in the UK. We're in the middle of summer holidays and, for the first time, it was actually SUNNY D= I actually wore a pair of shorts...

I c ur manga there Serp :P Definitely FMA, not sure what else. Looks like a Shounen Jump one of some sort and possibly Battle Royale? Hard to tell. I don't have enough room for all my books, I've got a shelf stacked high to the ceiling and that's it. I tend to borrow most of my books anyway. Anywho, after watching the BBC Drama Sherlock, I've been considering reading some of the original Sherlock Holmes novels. Has anyone read them? Are they good reads? :)

I like the current damage splats we've got and I'd be worried about not being able to see the numbers if the splat wasn't there, tbh.

I think this sounds fascinating. I love the idea of knowing what you hit and what type of attack is hitting you. I'm a bit nyeh on not hitting 0's, and the splat graphic might need a bit of an update too, but overall I'm looking forward to this.
