  1. I'm getting 99 ranging because it's actually pretty useful, for like bosses and stuff. I might also get one of the easy, cheap, buyable skills like cooking or fletching for the prayer bonus... Some people do it for the prestige and the neat cape, some skills actually give benefits for high stats, like summoning. For skills with no high-end content, like crafting, fletching or farming, its just more of a challenge, and the capes are a rare sight, and sometimes people just like being ahead of the game when Jagex releases more high-level things, like they did with herblore (I guess...) I already have the quest cape since Jagex releases high-qp requisite quests more often than they do high-level content for skills, and because all quests is a much easier acheivement but still gives a snazzy cape with good stats, to be honest....
  2. It's a challenge scroll, like the one you get from Bolkoy when you get an anagram clue to talk to him.
  3. You could chop yews, but make sure you have a place holder for your axe, or you'll be suck with it. If you have any F2P quests not done, then they should be finished. Or there's fishing on Karmaja, or powerfishing at the Barbarian Village. Mining is one of your higher stats, so maybe you could powermine iron, or mine coal for cash. Fist of Guthix is a F2P mini-game, and you can keep the tokens for member's rewards after you renew.
  4. How can it be F2P if it's from the Lunar Book.... And that damge and accuracy had better be very reduced...
  5. With their prices now, very much so.
  6. There IS not cannoning boodvelds if you haven't unlocked them. Don't resell the cannon, it's extremely useful for many long tasks, like Black Demons, those Velds, and even semi-long tasks like Spectres. You'll be using less than 2k cannonballs if you're only doing 100. But serisouly, keep the cannon. If you're really going for high slayer levels, you'll go crazy without its speed to be honest, unless you're really patient.
  7. If you're absolutely skill-less then picking flax is your best bet, or killing Chaos Druids for herbs like the above said.
  8. More stuff with spirit trees/greater explanation, they seriosuly need more work. Only three teleports, all too close to another teleport/mode of transportation. Name: Ancient Spirit Trees Skill: Farming Level: 95 Effect: More Teleports How to Make: Blessing a Spirit Tree Seed on a gnomish altar, in a small grotto in the gnome stronghold. Requires 70 prayer. Other Notes: takes 4 times as long to grow as a normal one, around 240 hours! This is because the patches are remote and far away from, err, whatever that tree network is. So they need far more time to grow in order for their roots to reach the whatever it is. And now the patch locations. South of Beacon in Forzen Wasteland, west of Agility Course South of Relleka East of Pheonix Lair Near the Musician southwest of Shil Village North of the Monkey City on Ape Atoll That one Patch of lush land near Uzer Southwest section of Mort'ton A bit south of Priffandis
  9. Well, it's an example. Immunity Potion is my content. More shortcuts would be good, but yours are a bit.. unrealistic..
  10. Thanks for the advice. Funnily enough, I got a D Stone on my very first Abyssal Demon kill :P I've also gotten a D Med drop, as well as a Rune Kite and 2H, all of these have only been once. I also got back to back half key drops once.
  11. Title explains all. When I say "high-level", I generally mean +85 level required (or +70, depending on the skill), untradeable, but still balanced so you can't one-hit someone with ease, or anything like that. But still give a bit of an advantage. Tweaks are also welcome. Use this format- Name: Skill: Level: Effect: How to Make: Other Notes: You can post as many as you want, the more the merrier! Correcting/modifying someone, especially regarding balance, is welcome Some examples/my input. Name: Immunity Potion Skill: Herblore Level: 97 Effect: Permanent immunity from poison How to Make: Potion requires Marrentil, WF Vial, and Ground Flawless Unicorn Horn. The FUH is a rather rare drop from regular or black Unicorns, about a 1/500 chance. The FUH must be ground in a Sterile Pestle and Mortar, which is made by using a vessel of water on a Pestle and Mortar, and using that on a fire. Other Notes: This gives immunity from ALL poison, including poison from other players (dds, Mor. Javs, Spears, Shadow? Spells, Emerald Bolts, etc.), Cave Crawlers, Tribal Men on Karmaja, even the powerful posion of Kril! Name: Greed Skill: Prayer Level: 80 something Effect: Greatly Increases the chance of a rare drop/reward. For example, an Abyssal Whip drop is about 1/450, but with this prayer being active THE ENTIRE FIGHT, the chance is 1/45 How to Make: It's a prayer, lol. Other Notes: Greed is frowned upon by the gods, so no other prayers can be active while this. It also has an INTENSE prayer drain, like -6 points a second at +0 prayer, so having it active for an entire, say, slayer task is really impractical. The increases the rewards of monster drops, Barrows Rewards, Treasure Trails, and whatever else seems fitting. The effectiveness of the Prayer is increased for the amount of time it is active during the activity. So, if you have the prayer on the entire time you kill a monster, the chance is increased tenfold, or if you only have it on half the time, it's only increased fivefold. The Barrows and Clue Scroll measure are started when you attack a Barrows Brother and stops when you open the chest, and starts when you pick up a Clue Scroll and stops when you finish it. Praying at an altar deletes the effects of the prayer, so you will have to spend money on prayer pots to get a better chance. And an example of a tweak is- Having you be able to have all spirit tree patches full at the same time, and having more of those patches. 83 farming does take a bit of effort. Maybe one near the nature grotto, in the deep wilderness in the icy area west of the agility arena, north of Catherby, etc. Have fun!
  12. That's the entrance to Soul Wars.
  13. Let's not forget PvM and Skilling too
  14. Massive Kudos for taking all those pictures. Incredible guide as well. MA is serisouly underrated.
  15. Whip #4 Ranging them for cash for 99 range. One whip pays for one chin trip and a few 100k more (2.7k chin, 33 prayer pots, 6 range pots, 2 tort pouches, 2 hydra pouches, one super restore) Camping is not nub, I earned it. 85 slayer took weeks. I know Avansies are faster, but an Addy Bar drop is "oh cool", a whip drop is "Woohooo!!!! *screenies*"
  16. And if you don't want to go through the clue-less tasks on slayer, Gargoyles are profitable and drop clues farily often. Turoths are one of the best clue droppers out there. Spectres are very profitable and drop clues often as well.
  17. So, the people who whined about these new potions because they didn't have the requisite levels get what they want. Maybe the people who don't have the requisite MA rank should also rant and have the combat rings removed. I mean, a cheapo dragonstone ring performs better than the DK rings. Or PKers who don't have enough quest points or skills to do RFD should demand that barrows gloves should be removed. I mean, +12 to all (but mage) attack stats? Overpowered amirite. And why the hell did they remove them from mini-games?? You don't lose anything there. And there's already skill advantage in some of them, like slayer in soul wars. Getting hit +90 in a mini-game doesn't make you go "0mg herblore n33b" it makes you go "Holy crap" -.-
  18. Bump, I'd like some more feedback on what I have now.
  19. Hat: Ringermaster Neck: Red/White Scarf from Holiday Top: Freminnik Red Bottom: Freminnik Red Boots: White Metal from Falador Knights Gloves: Ice Gloves Weapon: Dragon Spear Cape: Quest Cape Ring: Not Visible, but Explorer's ring for its usefulness
  20. My 60ish% Zamorak Chick ran away after I forgot to feed it while killing things for Fur 'n' Seek 2nd part. This was about a week ago, I now have a Zamorak Hawk in my POH.
  21. Void Mage also looks kinda cool, but it's by a lot the least useful Void set.
  22. Void Range increases your max hit, and +110 is plenty. Defence doesn't matter if you're safespotting, if you're praying, or if your monster is weak. And unless a monster has high defence, Void Range will make you kill it faster. It was a good idea to get it, trust us.
  23. Maybe, I guess I could make it just a regular monster like Abyssals and Beasts, but I do think a slayer-level required Okay I re-read your post. I suppose I will make some regular ones. EDIT: And I think making them be able to drop the Transient Armor could be quite interesting :)
  24. ILLUSTRATIONS OF THESE CREATURES AND THE DROPS ARE HIGHLY APPRECIATED. Hello, I'm Draco Incart! Though my TIF name is Draconic. I've been thinking of a new area with new slayer monsters, all the way up to level 95! Alright, here's my idea :) A portal between the dimensions has been thrust into existence by someone... or something. Though it is fairly unstable. The enterance will shift randomly between 25 different spots on Runescape, and will stay there for 5-10 minutes before jumping to a new point. Sometimes, it won't even exist at all! (Only for a few minutes, however) The spot or its existence is not the same on all worlds, so impatient Slayers will have to hop worlds. The 25 locations are as follows- 1. Northern Part of the Lunar Isle 2. Around the Rock Crabs in Fremennik 3. East of the Pheonix's Lair 4. Behind the Grand Tree 5. Southwest of Lleyta Bank 6. Western Feldip Hills Hunter Area, north of Mobilising Armies 7. In the Tree Gnome Village Maze 8. North of the Karmaja Valcano 9. In the Legend's Guild Dungeon 10. Center of Mcgrubor's Woods 11. The top of the White Wolf Mountain 12. Second Floor of the Dark Wizard's Tower, west of Falador 13. Mudskipper Point 14. Inbetween Draynor Manor and Falador 15. Draynor Village Sewers 16. Varrock Palace 17. Lumbridge Cow Pen 18. Near the Digsite 19. Canifis General Store 20. Winding Path next to Mort'ton 21. North of the Kalphite Lair 22. The Quarry, with all that Granite 23. South of the Agility Pyramid 24. The Bandit Camp, in the Wilderness 25. Near the Chaos Elemental, in the Wilderness VERY impatient slayers can talk to a Slayer Master, and have them teleported directly into the rift for a fee of 30k. The portal is similar to a house portal, but it is narrower and varies in color. Due to the Rift's unstable nature, Slayer's will have to buy a Stabilizing Amulet in order to prevent the very fiber fo their existence to ripped asunder! Those who enter the rift without this amulet will have their remaining hitpoints be halved every 15 seconds, until they only have 1 hitpoint left! The Stabilizing Amulet will be bought from any slayer master for 20k, and will disinegrate after leaving the Rift. THIS ITEM MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE RIFT. The area itself is similar to Tarn's Lair, but not an exact carbon copy, mind you! The first room you enter has aggressive monsters that can rapidly drain your prayer. They require 53 slayer to kill. More on them soon. The Rift has four stories (going down) with ever-more powerful monsters, like the Slayer Tower. Many of them must be killed or engaged in a certain way in order to be defeated. I'm sure many of you want to see my ideas for the monsters that dwell inside, so here they are! Other suggestions for other monsters, tweaking their drops, abilities and levels are appreciated. [hide=Shadow Fiend]Name: Shadow Fiend Location: first floor Slayer level/combat level: 53/70 Abilites: Drains prayer with a magic-based melee attack. Drops: Gold: 10-200 100%: - Weapons: Black Sword, Black Longsword, Mith Scimitar Armor: Black Med Helm, Black Full Helm, Black Chain Runes/Arrows: Black Bolts 5-10 (like from clue scrolls), Black Arrows 3-10(new item! Special notes: Drains prayer rapidly. Weilding items blessed by the gods (Such as unholy books, blessed dragonhide) will dramatically slow down the drain. Has a max hit of 7, and has 70 hitpoints. Highly Aggressive[/hide] [hide=Armored Wolf]Name: Armored Wolf Location: first floor Slayer level/combat level: 61/89 Abilities: Attacks with a ranged attack. Drops: Coins:200 100%: Big Bones, Steel bar Weapons: Steel Sword, Steel 2H, Adamant Hatchet, Black Dagger Armor: Steel Platebody, Steel Platelegs, Adamant Full Helm, Rune Med Helm, **Slitted Helmet** Runes/Arrows: Steel 50, Earth 40, Chaos 10 Misc: Long Bone, Curved Bone, Noted Steel bar 5-10, Adamant Bar, Iron Ore, Noted Iron Bar 6-15, Level 3 Clue Scroll Seeds: - Charms(1): Gold, Green, Crimson, Blue Description: What you'd expect, a wolf with armor on. The wolf's helmet is very smooth and shiny, with two large slits. The helmet also has runic symbols on it. This is the Slitted Helmet, which I will further elaborate on later. Notes: Has 150 hitpoints and a good defense, with a max hit of 7. Will rarely hit on players with good armor. High attack bonuses are reccomended.[/hide] [hide=Under Construction]Name: Location: second floor Slayer level/Combat level: 66/95 Abilites: None Drops: [/hide] [hide=Under Construction]Name: Locatin: second floor Slayer level/combat level: 70/102 Abilites: Drops:[/hide] [hide=Rock Giant]Name: Rock Giant Location: third floor Slayer level/combat level :76/160 Abilities: 100% defence against ONE player. Attacks with a slow but semi-powerful melee attack Drops: Coins: 500-750 100%: Big Bones Weapons: Steel Battleaxe, Adamant Dagger, Adamant Longsword, Rune Sword, Rune Mace Armor: Steel Platebody, Steel Platelegs, Adamant Kiteshield, Rune Full Helm, Dragon Med Helm, **Petrified Shield** Runes/Arrows: Rune 20-25, Earth 20-50, Dust 20-50, Lava 50-100 Misc: Long Bone, Curved Bone, Half Keys, Uncut Gems, Iron 10, Noted Pure Essence 30-50, Noted Granite 10-30, Level 3 Clue Scroll Seeds: - Charms(2): Gold, Green, Crimson, Blue Description: A giant made of rock with an enourmous, impenetrable shield. This shield looks like, basically, an enourmous rock with ragged edges. Special Notes: Attacking this monster will make it block all of your attacks with its gigantic shield. In order to kill it, you must right click another player and select "Join with". Now, you can kill these giants freely together, as the giant can't block two attacks at once. It still has MASSIVE defense, so diamond(e) bolts or Verac's armor are reccomended. The drops alternate, so player a gets a drop, then player b, then player a, etc. Its special drop is the Petrified Shield, which I will elaborate on later.[/hide] [hide=Under Construction]Name: Location: third floor Slayer level/combat level: 82/122 Abilites: Drops:[/hide] [hide=Griffin]Name: Griffin Location: fourth floor Slayer level/combat level: 87/164 Abilites: Similar to Vultures in the desert, they are sometimes immune to melee attacks. They can also knock you back with a powerful gust of wind, so ranging these is practically required. Drops: Coins: 500-5k 100%: Big Bones Weapons: [/hide] [hide=Under Construction]Name: Location: fourth floor Slayer level/combat level: 92/210 Abilites: Drops:[/hide] IMPORTANT: The Evanescent Dragon will no longer be -the- level 95 Slayer monster, but will require 95 Slayer. Expect to see "Evanescent Dragonling" (name suggestions are welcome, maybe E. Spawn?) sooner or later, whenever I get to it. Working on the drops at the moment, but homework is first. [hide=Evanescent Dragon] Name: Evanescent Dragon Location: fifth floor Slayer level/combat level: 95/723 Abilities: Can transport players that attack it out of the rift, can drastically lower stats, and has a small recoil effect. Uses a single-target melee attack and a multi-target magic attack. Drops: Coins: 50k-100k 100%: Ashes Weapons: Adamant 2H, Rune Longsword, Dragon Spear, Dragon Sword, Dragon 2H Armor: Splitbark Body, Black D'hide Top, Rune Kiteshield, Rune Platebody, Dragon Chainbody, Dragon Med Helm, **Transient Body and Legs** Runes/Arrows: 500 Adamant Arrows, 500 Rune Arrows, 100 Rune Bolts, 75 Dragonstone Bolts(e), 7k of any Elemental Rune, 1k Chaos, 500 Deaths, 500 Bloods, 400 Souls Misc: Noted Uncut Gems 100, Half Keys, Noted Oak Plank 1k, Super Restore Potion(4) 10, Noted Magic Logs 300, Noted Gold Ore 1k, Noted Beer 10k, Noted Unicron Horn 500, Noted Pure Ess 10k, Clue Scroll(level 3)**Melee Stabilizer**, **Ranging Stabilizer**, **Magic Stabilizer**, **Summoning Stabilizer** Description: A massive dragon, just a little under the size of the Corporeal Beast, with grayish scales. It is wearing armor, which is the Trasniesnt Armor. This looks a bit like a cross between sacred clay armor and Armadyl armor. This dragon also has two tails, because, you know, it's from another dimension. It jaws are more parrot-like than anything, and its ears are very prominent. It paws are big, and its claws are decently large. Notes: This is one hell of a dangerous monster. Not only can it hit +50 with its melee attack, it also has a multi-target magic attack this is ridulously accurate, so magic prayer is a must. Those are its two main attacks. It also has 3 abilites. One is a multi-target magic attack that maxes at 5, but lowers one random stat to 1, INCLUDING HITPOINTS AND SLAYER, so super restore potions and good food are a RREQUIRMENT. This cannot be prevented, but it is a rareish attack. Its second special attack is a melee attack that can hit +20, but 'tears' a person out of existence. This merely transports them out of the rift and at the entrance. If attempting to solo, this has a very small chance of occuring. When in a massive team, this has a very high chance of happening. Its third ability is basically a recoil effect, at about 10%. So, if you hit a 50 on the dragon, you'll recieve 5 damage. This monster has average defence for a boss monster, but a massive 1500 hitpoints. Its unique drops are the transient armor and its stabilizers, which will be elabroated on next. [/hide] [hide=The Items]Black Arrows are self explanatory Slitted Helmet The Slitted Helmet has the following stats. If not listed, stat is 0: ATTACK Magic: -10 Range:+6 DEFENCE Stab: +8 Slash: +10 Crush: +4 Magic: +8 Range: +12 Summoning: +8 When worn, ranging gets a +15% stackable level boost when fighting a slayer monster. Petrified Shield[/hide[
  25. Absolutely not, their defence is too high. Stick with magiing rock lobsters, and chinning Monkey Skeletons.
