  1. Like Bill Cosby in Ghost Dad? My resolution is to get a decent income and move to Washington state because it's so prettiful :'(. Redmond, hopefully.
  2. Alch it on F2P and actually profit! [hide]Hehehehehehehe. And that's the reason alching P2P items on F2P was disabled.[/hide]
  3. 8 hours of Tormented Demons. Average of 60 (well, 59.5, but there's no such thing as a fractional Tormented Demon!) KPH using welfare gear (royal crossbow and polypore). 476 demons slayed in the making of this image. If I were to sell at mid-GE price, the profit averages out to be about 100k gp per demon. It'll actually be higher if the market hasn't changed too much (limbs sell for about 23m-23.5m as of a week or so ago). Only 42 more hours until my supplies runs out. Then I'm gonna sell it all. Hoping to make over 300m. By the way, the ring of wealth does increase the chances of the broken armor shards. Both pieces my wealth shined on. It hasn't yet shined on a limb or claw drop, so I'm still unsure if it improves those... What is that chest item? I can't find a reference to it on RS Wiki or anything...

I know (I lurk there). But it still has a share of elitists.

    Smogon is that way ->
  6. What the bleep*. Can't I do a puzzle without getting ambushed...? *: Self-censoring is awesome.
  7. I'm going to go down and verify, but I have never missed with it (at 99 range), unlike darklight. I'll chug some brews and see.
  8. Holy water works in place of darklight. And it always hits on Tormented Demons. If you use an ability, such as the first range basic (can't remember it's name, I'm too tired), then you also won't use up the holy water. And since their initial prayer is melee, you get to knock their shield down immediately. I don't know why more people don't use holy water...
  9. -.- I just need to buy four more bonds, but Tormented Demons be Tormented Trollin'.
  10. Has anyone ever sniped me? :( I've even said HYT to noobs. YOU'RE ALL NOOBS.
  11. No. At TDs, using a protecting prayer means you take no more than 1 damage from a Tormented Demon's attack.
  12. Here's a brief summary to the best of my knowledge: There's three classifications of gear: hybrid (all), power, and tank. Hybrid gear is useless (in general) because it's 15 levels (1.5 tiers) below its defense requirement. Power is 99 out of 100 times the best choice: it offers only a small defense/health penalty for some damage increase (tiered to the fastest weapon of its tier). Tank is only good in 1 out of 100 situations (tanking the higher end bosses). Player-owned ports gear is tier 8.5 tank gear. Decent for tanking Nex and stronger if you don't have Nex gear. Otherwise, it's outclassed even by GWD gear (and even the Fremennik armors [rock-shell, spined, and skeletal]). GWD gear, including Nex and Bandos, are all power armor, which means they boost damage dealt. It's based on the same fastest weapon of the tier, and it's supposed to be something like a 10% boost (it's less, actually, due to rounding and other combat mechanics, but oh well). This is the best gear to use in most situations, because you don't take enough extra damage to beat out the bonus damage (and thus health given by soulsplit, if necessary) in most cases. Shields in general are only useful for tanking. I think the best shields are still the Divine/Elysian/Arcane spirit shields because they work at Vorago (they reduce the damage of an unblockable orb attack) and they reduce damage in general thus giving them an edge. Elite void is decent because it's a flat 5% damage, 10% accuracy armor, and rarely do you need the extra defense offered by higher armor in most cases. Of course, if you have tier 90 weapons and are using Nex gear, void is useless (except at TDs unless you like switching 2 pieces of armor as well). Tormented demons can be fought with momentum, if you don't mine somewhat slower kills. With momentum, they are the same basically as pre-EoC, since prayers block all but 1 hitpoint of damage on successful attacks (aka making you invincible unless you only have 1hp left...). I hope I covrered it all.

Fixed my snazzy tree drawing... stuff. And spotlight shadows.
  14. Although I disagree that the game industry is collapsing (at least, not right now), the way its going is not good for the consumer. Forza for the Xbox One has you purchase a $60 game and then has pay to win transactions in it... yes, while you can grind for the cars, you are given option to buy them outright. I can only assume that grinding for the cars is gonna waste much more time than otherwise. Then there's Ryse... and probably a bunch more. PS4? I don't know--I haven't bothered to search, but I wouldn't be surprised. Cost isn't the only problem. There's the idea that games must have ultra-realistic, 1080p@60FPS graphics to be worth the consumer's dime (whether or not the players care, I can't say). Where's style? I see most title games on the PS4/One try and be realistic. Why? To be honest, even though I've grown a bit bitter with Nintendo, they are the only ones who aren't guilty of it. Imagine if Microsoft produced the latest Pokemon--"Buy any Pokemon you don't have for $0.99*!" Imagine if Super Mario 3D World was a Facebook game--"Five lives per day! Buy more when you run out, only $1.99!" Evidently they don't seek out top of the line graphics either--they use some things forgotten by most modern game producers: style. Super Mario Galaxy is beautiful, regardless of 480p or 1080p. But look at the Call of Duties on the Wii (and Wii U)--they're ugly as sin, because they try and be realistic on a platform that doesn't have that power. On an aside, I'm developing a game. It's going to have an hour, maybe two, of gameplay. And guess what? It'll run at 24 FPS (there's a stylistic reason for that). There's going to be plenty of style, no hand holding, etc. There will be more substance in this two-hour game than the first two-hours of many recent games out (because in those two hours, you'll just have finished the tutorial!). And you know why? Because I can get away with it. I'm not being forced to make this game by some businessman. I do believe indie* games are the future at this rate. Not AAA game studios, who only want to milk the consumer's last dime. *: Indie also doesn't mean 2 people in a basement. Basically, by 'indie' I mean 'no giant publisher breathing down your neck. Also, freedom to do whatever you want.'
  15. I prefer weapon poison+ because I can apply the poison again when my overload/renewal run out '-'. All poisons are the same as far as I can tell, so spending so much more on a couple minutes isn't worth it, in my opinion. Got all the scrolls a while back: And almost max all trade goods:
  16. I do have poison! The orange flask. 64 kills in a little less than 60 minutes.
  17. 55-60 kills per hour and I just started monomaging today, so there's room for improvement. I kill them before their shield comes back up every time, if that's any indicator. I just suck at luring. If I used blessed holy water to remove the shield, it'd be even faster.
  18. I agree. To add to the TD loot: [hide]I don't hybrid TDs. I throw fiery blood at them until they die.[/hide]

The battle was tough. Now, the horrors I've seen... the atrocities I've committed... they can be forgiven because I managed. I managed to implement directional shadow maps. It took two days of fiddling with equations and algorithms, as well as cross referencing everything I did, to perfect the shadows. Next up, headlights (aka spotlight implementation).
  20. If the summoning rework isn't disappointing, I'll finally be able to use my 99 summoning obtained after the EOC to its full potential! Ooh, TDs... with a steel titan... mmm...
  21. I laughed. In real life. Ash[something] is pretty nice.
  22. HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. DO YOU KNOW, THAT IN A UNIVERSE SO FULL OF WONDERS, THEY HAVE MANAGED TO INVENT BOREDOM? I read, write, draw, program, ride my bike, think about life, etc when I sense 'boredom.' If that helps.

You'll be able to select your respawn location on the death interface. It's in the top left (I think [been a while since I played enough to die]? I know there's a drop down box somewhere).
