  1. What why. Teleport to RC guild and repair? Doesn't it cost money? Since when do you rc with pouches?
  2. I'd recommend the scroll of efficiency and scroll of cleansing, for juju potions & training smithing. Ccbow is good for Nexing. Antipoison totem if you train thieving at Pyramid Plunder. The three prayer scrolls for the completionist cape.
  3. Dungeoneering is nice, not so much at 60 but great to get to 70-75, ahead of your combat skills. That way you'll quickly be able to use chaotics when you get the levels to wield them. Agility theoretically helps train skills with lots of running, but there aren't many so yeah... Summoning has the kyatt at level 57 which hits insanely well, the very best way to kill Nomad and such.
  4. Familiars have four main purposes: Carrying items Fighting Boosting a skill Healing For example, the steel titan is level 230 combat, has over 5000 lp, hits over 240 max and has a special attack that hits four times (up to 4*244 total damage). The pack yak carries up to 30 items and it has a special move that allows it to bank an item, up to 150 items per hour, instantly, anywhere on RS. The lava titan boosts your mining level by 10, which increases xp rates by a lot. The unicorn heals you for 15% of your health, 90 times per hour. Some familiars have other powers, for example the graahk teleports you fairly close to the nature altar, ents and wolpertingers increase some farming harvests etc.
  5. Attack xp gain depends on your strength level, magic xp gain depends on your magic level. Magic xp gain also doesn't depend on equipment much, as there are quite a few monsters extremely weak to magic (and only 2 item slots can increase max hit). Plus the base xp, as Naive mentioned.

Usefulness-wise, I'd recommend 99 summoning, prayer, herblore. But of course two of those are combat skills and they are very expensive. If you want relatively easy non-combat 99s I would say dungeoneering, firemaking, woodcutting. Woodcutting isn't that fast but it ties in very nicely with firemaking, and it's free. First get 83 firemaking with yew/magic logs & bonfires, then go to the Jadinko lair to get 92 firemaking (you'll get 161.6 woodcutting xp per 1514.8 firemaking xp - about 410k xp total). Then get an inferno adze, use that to level woodcutting @ teaks (will also get firemaking xp), alternating with more jadinko lair, until you have 99 both.
  7. Nice minimap :P. Also grats, this spell is now totally useless.
  8. What im saying is there is no need to have rune pickaxes or hatchet added to the toolbelt. There was a need in dung, but not anymore since they fixed that. The effect of adding (rune) hatchets/pickaxes to toolbelts isn't that big anyway. You save an inventory space (and 20k risk, but what skilling is even risky?). Urns, xp-boosting sets, familiars, juju potions etc. make sure that you have to bank anyway, unless you're prone to randomly chopping ivy halfway a farm run. From rune to dragon would save a lot more risk, but that's only important to runite mining & using up brawlers.
  9. Try clearing Windows performance logs or equivalent? I've had a problem with a very old (2 gb disk lol) computer which was solved after removing like 1.3 gig worth of old logs.
  10. In general the class system seems to make a game simpler for each person, because there's less options to choose from, but it makes teamwork more complicated. Which is something important in WOW and really not in RS, at all (not that I know WOW, just going based on what I've read).
  11. That's the noob (excuzes le mot) variety of combat, advanced combat like tormented demons with a titan requires quite a lot of apm. You can definitely not afk tds or powerslaying or such. If Jagex introduced more, and especially lower-level varieties of this kind of combat, it'd be great. Like elite black knights, but with loot.
  12. Boss-wise, you got: KBD DKS Mole KBD doesn't spawn quickly enough, mole has the annoying digging, but dagannoth kings have nice drops & are relatively easy if you stick to maging.
  13. It requires Ritual of the Mahjarrat. And it's 105% recommended to use the best mage level boost you can as well, extreme mage/overload.
  14. Abyssals and metal dragons (metals are actually faster). Nechryael are good for bursting/barraging. You can polypore anything that you cannon, and I'd only recommend those because the lower dps isn't so important (black demons, bloodveld, abberant spectres - less luring probably means equal kph anyway, dagannoths etc.). I would not recommend training magic with a polypore staff. Storm of Armadyl is amazing on single-combat tasks without cannon (Kuradal's), both great xp and killrate. If you don't mind spending a little for fast slayer & magic xp, it's the way to go.
  15. SoA can be efficient at reasonable incomes (leech floors, merching). Paying 2m/hr to save 4 minutes is an equivalent 30m/hr. Paying 2m/hr to save 25 minutes (mithril dragons) is 4.8m/hr - much more reasonable.
  16. You really don't want to use ccbow for tds, magic is much better there. For a pure ranger, the main weapons are: Dragon darts on very low defence, in Kuradal's etc. 247 max, 3000/hr (741k). Karil's crossbow. 348 max, 2000/hr (696k). Chaotic crossbow (bane bolts). 427 max, 1200/hr, 1.5x multiplier (765600) Chaotic crossbow (dragonstone bolts). 528 max, 1200/hr, special = 5% boost (665280) Chaotic crossbow (runite bolts). 522 max, 1200/hr (626400) Chaotic crossbow (bakriminel bolts). 551 max, 1200/hr (661200) Hand cannon. 623 max, 1000/hr (623k). Karil's is +82 attack +55 strength at 316 gp per shot, medium price. Magic shortbow is +69 attack + 60 strength at 1553 gp per shot, med price. So you can get 124/119 = 104.2% dps, the special effect adding about 5 damage per hit (1.5% tops), works out to 105.6% dps overall. That costs 1237 gp per shot extra. You can fire 1800-1900 shots per hour (2000 theoretical max). That's 2m/hr and more in ammo costs for 5.6% extra dps - never really worth it afaik.
  17. Meh, if you allowed people to remove items from the toolbelt we wouldn't have that problem. Or add adzes, they are untradeable anyway (the burn effect would have to have a toggle of course).
  18. Same as other defence, but on the KQ it's obviously entirely useless :P. And soak doesn't matter all that much on the KQ, with that low max hit. Just go with max mage attack/SoA and flash ss + range pray. Pure blood barrage with max mage/wolper (almost) beats maxed void range/melee hybrid with uni, so SoA should easily be better.
  19. Microtransactions (Squeel of Fortune). Runespan made runecrafting 1.5x as fast and afk.
  20. You can leave the cannon up while you bank, so it can kill a few more dragons. Not to mention ranged xp and anti-crash/anti-bot. It's very worth it.
  21. The dwarf cannon works exactly like every other weapon, except that you only get half the ranged xp and no constitution xp from it. But it's not like you need more con xp :P. In single combat, the cannon will hit the target that is attacking you. If nothing is attacking you, it will hit every target.
  22. It's almost like you're getting a completionist cape ! grats
  23. Agreed with TS' article. Jagex apparently doesn't have a grand scheme of things, just a dozen 'content teams' working on unrelated projects. I'm wondering if moving away from semi-weekly updates to bigger, quarterly updates would help to create bigger, interlocking updates.
