  1. A quest, a new boss, that's good. Never trust a boss to be epic until you try it though, knowing Jagex :P. The May specials are all horrible :P.

Demons have low magic defence, but they also have little to no drops. Ice strykes would be perfect if you didn't need a slayer task to kill them (also 93 slayer :P). If you really want to kill monsters 100%, try lesser demons. They have nice enough health and there's a few places to safespot them (check the bestiary). At your level (hiscores won't show it so I guess it's under 30?) I would suggest curse spells until you can cast low-alch. Then start alching while woodcutting/mining/fishing, moving on to superheating at 43.
  3. Late grats on comp cape, Zaap. Took you long enough :P.
  4. Don't forget: Augury is at most 20% more magic dps compared to turmoil. Turmoil is approximately 10% better attack and 10% better strength than piety, so at most ~21% more dps (assuming you keep it on at all times). E.g. augury + piety isn't actually better dps than just turmoil unless you have very high melee accuracy and very low magic accuracy. Ignoring Darklight accuracy. Leech magic is equal to/slightly worse than Augury (not sure which) depending on mage level etc. Of course if you're using Storm of Armadyl, leeches won't do anything. Leech magic + turmoil switching is inferior to augury + piety because you never get a chance to use the full boost. Leech magic + leech defence + leech strength + leech attack drains over twice as much as turmoil, and is inferior to turmoil at least max hit wise. I suspect the defence drain also doesn't make up for the lost attack boost. With turmoil, you can use soul split which saves you money on brews as well. Ergo, use turmoil at all times.
  5. Any clues on xp rates so far?
  6. :) That still puts it at 50k xp/hr tops or so, right?
  7. Yeah Bruno's going to win, Livid Farm done. Hell, 4k chompies done, he'll beat you to trimmed too :P. Good luck to you nonetheless :D.
  8. Huge, probably. Vesta's has 5 strength over just torso + zerker helm, also around 10 more in each attack bonus, and double the defence overall. A zerker at 60 attack, 45 def, 95 pray and otherwise maxed is 99+12 combat. 65 def/90 strength is 101+12 and can use Storm of Armadyl. 65 def/99 strength is 104+12.
  9. There now is the Squeel of Fortune. Basically, it's a random drop generator much like killing a monster. There are a lot of xp lamps and expensive items on the wheel (spirit shields, GWD armour) but the expensive items are extremely rare. Xp lamps are quite common. Each day you get one spin, plus one spin if you are a member. You can also get spins as monster drops, from completing quests, and you can buy them for irl cash (450 spins is about 100 dollars iirc). tl;dr microtransactions. 10k xp per dollar, at 90+ stats.
  10. 700k seems too high for ranged xp only (without cannon). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oUGn9hYFjc 660k at 95 ranged, small sample but still. Cannon should be 100k xp/hr or so?
  11. DGS if you will dg past 120 a lot. EoE is good too, less hardcore. There are no worthwhile DG worlds. You can try larger clans that are not specifically dungeoneering clans.
  12. I do think it's required, and I should think it can be pied. Also, grats on 1337 posts :P.
  13. Congratulations, very close to comp now .
  14. Pft, bloodrager gloves - blood necklace in glove slot, effect activates every time you attack. Is tasty.
  15. Best to bank at the LRC deposit box afaik. And even so, banking is a big dent to your xp/hr and not worth it.
  16. Personally I would make a Storm of Armadyl pure over a 1 def pure anytime. Requires 65 defence, 50 prayer (plus quest reward, you get 51 I think?), 99 magic, 40 attack. However you can only get 40 hp if you want to stay 80 combat or below, so that's not viable (95 combat with 99 hp and 52 prayer, 92 prayer adds 5 combat levels - turmoil is not neccesary). I'd just go for that sub 80 kiln cape then move on to be a turmoil zerker or SoA pure. You can get 60 attack/89 strength without levelling combat (if you're 99 magic), but turmoil zerkers will get a higher boost from you then.
  17. Pps not so much even though he's not at the top magic defence wise, but ganodermic does make him a lot easier to melee. Given your ranged level, melee is definitely the better option. Whip+defender will do, get a rapier if you want to be 100% sure.
  18. I'm not sure Bandos is even worth it, ags most definitely isn't. And no ice barrage/goliaths/imbued? Brew flasks? :P
  19. I don't know if that's typically Japanese but to me it seems it seems to lack tension (if I translate that right) except on the smallest scale. 6.5/10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_9C4SqyPbE
  20. 1/10000 chance from bought spins only...
  21. No, and it's probably not tradeable for the most part anyway.
  22. Sort of, shooting backwards is the key to beating infantry (solo anyway) but only at a quick walk at most. Also works on cavalry if you have a faster horse but you run out of map sooner :P.
  23. Not even an option 'disagree with game update' or 'dislike current game style' or anything that suggests Jagex might be the cause of you quitting.
  24. Yeah that was my reaction too. Proficiencies are a bit like attack bonusus, if you have lots of them they aren't so relevant anymore. At 10 archery proficiency you can barely draw a bow, at 100 you can hit big shields/bodies fairly consistently, at 200 you can usefully aim for headshots, at 300 you hit what you aim for no questions asked. 400 is just overkill (and the max is 699, lol). Playing as solo horse archer gives you some unusual results, for example I've killed 66 sea raiders by myself (not even taking a break to refresh arrows, just looting). Since they will just keep charging you, and you can keep riding ahead of them on horseback and shoot them. With sea raiders you actually have to shoot them in the leg because they keep their shields across the rest of their bodies XD. The best strategy to deal with knights (lots of armour and a shield + high shield skill) is to kill their horses :D (authentic, Mongols did that when they invaded Europe).
