Range gear
I would use soul wars cape + ranging amulet instead of alerter + fury, you gain a nice 7 prayer bonus that way for a total of 20. Pray rigour naturally.

list of tasks to cannon everytime
Steels with cannon are not noticably/efficiently faster than Kuradal's steels for a few reasons: The spawns at Ghorrock are further from eachother than those in Kuradal's by far. Cannon has low accuracy (deals little damage per hit) on steels. Steel dragons have long-ranged breath so they can't be lured on top of the cannon (at least not quickly or without losing much dps) like many other monsters. Also don't underestimate the ferocious ring, with a max hit of 700, it's still a dps increase of some 11%. Theoretically, cannon may beat fero if there were a good number of spawns in a smaller cave, and of course in a multicombat area.

Range gear
Ranged has a chronic lack of prayer bonus mainly due to the cape slot being occupied by the alerter more often than not. Elite void has a nice prayer boost and that's about it.

Dungeoneering Teams?
The portals are pretty random, I don't think they take into account combat level, dg level, binds, attitude, or anything else really.

list of tasks to cannon everytime
To elaborate: Cannon is good when: The monster has low defence (this is mostly a cost issue, damage per cannonball etc.) There are multiple targets to hit (high spawns, multicombat helps but is not required) When there are no other boosts to take advantage of (e.g. ferocious ring or steel titan) For example for black demons you have the choice between cannon (Taverly) and titan (Chaos Tunnels). For steel dragons you can cannon (Ghorrock) or Kuradal's with fero. Cannon: Hellhounds* Kalphites* Black demons* Black dragons* Dark beasts (unless you don't need ranged xp)* Bloodveld* Suqah* Abberant spectres* Wyverns Living rock creatures Dagannoth* Greater demons (Forinthry Dungeon)* Ice strykewyrms* Jungle strykewyrms Desert strykewyrms Fire giants* Ganodermic beasts* Warped tortoises Grifalopines No cannon: Steel dragons* Iron dragons* Blue dragons* Waterfiends* Can't cannon: Abyssal demons* Mithril dragons* Mutated jadinkos Spiritual mages Vyrewatch TzHaar (Jad)* Terror dogs Gargoyles Marked with a * are worth doing, approximately. It depends a bit on effigy rates, melee/ranged xp needed, current summoning level, charms needed etc.

Very useful tip for corp duo.
Sounds good .

what explains the efficacy of goliath gloves on corp?
Very possible, you can't really determine magic level as its magic max hit is not neccessarily based on mage level. You could test accuracy but that'd be a massive pain. I know at least of one vid (Born for Pvm?) where a ton of people bgs spec corp to low mage def (since the order is def > str > att > (pray) > mage that's a lot of specs). But overall it should be noted I'm not at all sure that corp has 300 attack/100 def. They fit very nicely with 2000 hp/500 str and the apparently huge def reduction by goliaths, but there is no solid evidence.

Game Engine Q&A
Did any of those get answered?

what explains the efficacy of goliath gloves on corp?
Combat level for monsters are assumed to be calculated the same way as for players. Goliath gloves reduce combat stats by 7 each spec. Corp has 2000 constitution, 785 combat, 513 max hit with melee according to one YT video (monster examine reveals melee max only iirc). First of all, 513 max hit with no equipment, prayers or potions translates to 500 strength level (convenient, no?) assuming accurate or defensive style. A creature with 2000 hp, 500 str will have 662 combat if all other stats are 0. 2000 * 1/4 = 500 levels from hp 500 * 13/40 = 162,5 levels from strength. Every defence level will add one quarter to that, so that leaves 492 levels for defence. It would allow up to ~335 magic levels as well (and ranged). However that would mean no attack levels, not very likely imo. I think it's more likely that corp has 300 attack and 100 defence. 2000*.25 = 500, 300+500 * 13/40 = 260, 100*.25 = 25, totals at 785 combat exactly. It would allow a magic level of 500 as well (up to 535, approximately). This would mean ten goliath glove specials reduces the defence to about 30, strength to about 430, attack to about 230. Three swh specs would reduce the defence to about 34. A bgs spec would reduce the defence by at most 35 levels. Even a darklight spec would be very significant. That would require some defence bonusus at least, corp definitely is harder to hit than an unarmoured player with 99 defence. But on the other hand it's way more accurate than a player with 1 attack as well so bonusus will come into it either way.

summoning
"Always work with at least ... % of my initial shards" matters only to the timeline of trading in pouches for shards and the initial number of shards. Basically it means you will only do transactions with at least ...% of the shards you start with. It calculates the most xp you can get with the charms you have along with the number of shards required for that. You have to disable the expensive and annoying pouches yourself. Initial shards is the number of shards you must buy to get through their suggested timeline without buying more. Shards lost is the number of shards you lose during their suggested timeline.

Should really put (Slayer helmet/Black mask) in brackets there. OK I will :P.

Question about hunter
Black salamanders are horrible xp as far as I know. Even with brawling gloves, they barely provide more xp than draconics for example. Chins are probably nice for the money. Past 90ish hunter you could hunt grenwalls for roughly 1-1.5m/hr profit (if that still holds).
-
Dungeoneering equipment question
Not really worth hood hunting though. Plate + 2h is the best two-bind setup for xp gain. Primal battleaxe beats promethium 2h however (primal 2h beats primal baxe). When you get your third bind, the best setup is, in order: hex/plate/2h/arrows > blood neck/plate/2h/csb > hood/plate/2h/csb > gauntlets/plate/2h/csb You are very lucky if you find blood necklace or hex before 100 dungeoneering. So if you find a hood, you can accept the lesser xp up to level 100 to get better xp past level 100.

Highest healing amount in a single inc space
Purple sweets can hold an infinite amount of healing in one space, eee as well. Brew flasks are the most convenient. You should probably use high-defence equipment as well.

Need help with armour
The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Steadfast/Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet (Slayer helmet, black mask) [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +10 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +20 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, black dragon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 70 prayer and King's Ransom - piety 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it.

Could i solo bandos?
It is. Gano vs. Karil is 55 mage def vs. 52 range def iirc? Karil's also has 5% range soak which won't do much but still. Karil's vs. bcp is 71 mage def vs. 67 range def, bcp has 9% ranged soak so 4% more. So it's pretty much the same upgrade. Of course both ranged and magic defence get less useful as you get more of it, magic sooner than ranged.

Can't really measure Sunfreet kill efficiency as you only need one, ever. Makes it very tough to compare setups, other than that you add a 20 brew requirement :S. Could you not just repeat the special event for the same effect, just without banking in between? Makes it more or less the same as other bosses then, just without drops. Well yes you could but I don't like the Sunfreet because it's totally useless. Plus I already had 10 options.

Bonecrusher vs. Herbicide
Bonecruncher is also nice for Troll Invasion or w/e, herb drops tend to be a bit rarer than bones.

The Benefits of D.I.Y.?
True, which is why people sometimes get lost after reaching max/comp cape/whatever :P. For some people RS really is about goals, always on to the next. Everyone enjoys achieving something they feel is good (Captain Obvious here). Applied to RS it means that xp often translates to enjoyment, just as gp does, certain other items not convertible to gp (from currency like tokkul to hybrid items to red sandstone), and metagame achievements like 'the fastest Jad kill ever'. Not many RS players feel that xp is not a 'good' achievement (I think), so they would be willing to put in some effort to get more xp. The degree to which they are willing to do so varies per player and that's a big factor in mathematical efficiency and personal efficiency. @ The question: there are lots of ways to use BA rewards & alternatives to actually mining for xp, so if BA + mining is an unlucky combo that's good to know (but it isn't).
