Too true. Probably won't though.. Today, we have renamed the Firemaking skill to be more in line with future updates and improvements to the skill. Henceforth, it shall be called Firestarting! -using -utilization -technics -starting -making Fire- Fire-using Fire-utilization Firetechnics Firestarting Firemaking Pyro- Pyro-using Pyro-utilization Pyrotechnics Pyrostarting Pyromaking Combustion- Combustion-using Combustion-utilization Combustiontechnics Combustionstarting Combustionmaking Oxidation- Oxidation-using Oxidation-utilization Oxidationtechnics Oxidationstarting Oxidationmaking Plasma- Plasma-using Plasma-utilization Plasmatechnics Plasmastarting Plasmamaking
  2. Also thieving, may or may not be the same speed but it is a very fast skill Isn't it like 400K/hour? 300k, maybe 310k if you duo? I'm sure Gemeos will post the exact rates soon enough, but it's not much different from hunter which is just under 300k. I'm also not sure how much xp Suomi will have to do without sceptre of the gods.
  3. You're right it doesn't, the first attack level is more valuable. My calculation was just to show that attack is really, really weak compared to strength (if you're not unlocking new weapons, that is). Going from 88 to 89 attack roll (at 80% accuracy, that's 35.2 def roll) would increase your accuracy to 80.225%, 0,28125% dps boost. From 106 to 107 strength roll, 0,9434% boost. So about 3.54 times as valuable. The ratio is 13,25:88 = 6.64. 206,750 xp vs. 1,228,825 xp, so attack would seem worthwhile for at least one level.
  4. I get your point Impalas, but consider this: To go from 80% to 90% accuracy, requires you to double your attack roll. At 80 attack, you have to get 88 attack levels, plus whatever boost you get from potions. If you want to increase your dps just as much by increasing your max hit, you need to go from 100 to 112.5 max hit. At 98 strength, you have to get 13.25 strength levels, plus one eighth of the boost from potions.
  5. In that case you might even want to consider cannonballs, as they are profitable. They are very slow however. I'd only consider them if you had the Morytania diary reward which speeds them up (all medium tasks required).
  6. Blackjacking bandits in the desert I believe.
  7. Yep. The upgrade from dscim to rapier is pretty big, but you shouldn't compare just those two. You should compare your dps at 99 magic (with polypore & with SoA) to rapier. Magic is generally more accurate, and you risk 170k tokens less than a rapier, plus you don't need fighter torso/tokhaar/zerker (i) for dps as much. With SoA however you need to use the staff and you lose vengeance. Build 1: 45 def/60 att All others 99 Melee max (raw dps): 443 (55,375 per tick) Magic max (raw dps): 541 (54,1 per tick) 99 combat Build 2: 45 def/80 att/95 pray All others 99 Melee max (raw dps): 533 (66,625 per tick) Magic max (raw dps): 541 (54,1 per tick) 105 combat Build 3: 65 def/60 att/95 pray All others 99 Melee max (raw dps): 443 (55,375 per tick) Magic max (raw dps): 227-479 (88,25 per tick) 104 combat All have the same claw spec obviously, technically 80 attack would be a bit more accurate but claws are already very accurate by themselves. Also those max hits are with supers & +40 strength gear (no tokhaar/zerker ring), wolpertinger/arcstream for magic.
  8. Dreadnips can attack anything you attacked recently, both in single and multicombat. Dark beasts are so agressive you rarely manage to hit one while another attacks you, but if it happens you can dreadnip the one you hit and then switch to fight the one that attacked you. @Ambler: Grats :P.
  9. If you're slaying anyway, could you list your slayer point total after each day? It's an easy way to track how many skips & whether a task list is sustainable or not.
  10. Obliv lists it at 'multiply by 1.1' for the entire roll, but in a separate section so it should stack with both void and fsh. Hmmm.
  11. Juju potions will help you a crazy lot if you're banking, they bank about a third of your ores.
  12. Depends on how much money you have & what other things you want. If you want magic xp as well, superheat gold with goldsmithing gauntlets. If you want afk time, just smelt it at a furnace, with gauntlets.
  13. I thought it was confirmed 10%, but I'm not sure.
  14. It depends what you do. For tormented demons & glacors, Virtus. For DKS, elysian (maybe Torva legs). For Bandos/Zamorak/Saradomin god wars, Torva or Virtus (if you SoA them, for the heck of it :P). For Armadyl god wars, Pernix or Virtus (again, SoA for fun). For Nex, Pernix. For corp, Virtus (solo probably ganodermic + divine). For KQ, also Virtus. KBD, void :P. In general, Nex items offer greater offence than spirit shields. For magic, the difference is about 30 mage attack compared to the next best (arcane). For ranged, it's about 20 difference. Melee not so much, but Torva would allow you to use a defender more often.
  15. I would definitely not get 70 attack, 60 for dps with magic & claw specs, 80 for dps with chaotics. I'd also not get 30 def, either 1 or 40.
  16. Normally the fastest way to 99 woodcut & firemaking is with an adze, but I'm assuming you don't care about woodcutting xp past 99, so you're not getting any xp from that. Pyrelord firemaking is around 550k xp/hr, the 'tryhard' bonfire method also 500k iirc, jadinko lair with adze is 300k and free, mage logs on bonfire 300k? but not free. If you are not particularly concerned with when you are going to get 99 firemaking, try to get most of your xp from Char's training cave, which is easily 660k xp/hr for free.
  17. Err, no. A pure will easily beat a main of the same combat level, no problem. Don't forget a maxed turmoil zerker will use claw specs @ 99 strength w/ turmoil & good equipment, at 99 combat. Roughly equivalent to an account with all 80s & 70 prayer (100 combat). A Storm of Armadyl pure would be at 101 combat with 70 defence, soul split and 99 magic. Even if that all 80s account is using Nex gear & chaotics, the lack of soul split, high magic dps & KO power with claws is going to be a big drawback. @OP: You can pk/stake at max very well, it's just that you will be fighting people who are also maxed. The advantage of pures is that they can also fight mains at the same level who are significantly weaker, though afaik they rarely do so. It comes down to what combat level range you prefer fighting in.
  18. It doesn't matter very much but it is technically better to take the plate off if you're not tanking anything. The main things you mage have a magic level of 1 or so, so they won't be very hard to hit. You don't make laws in c1 floors of course (you can't). If you rush a something other than c1, make sure it's c2 (fishing/woodcutting) because anything else is a waste of time.
  19. Ganos 5m+effigy/hr and 150k mage xp + 30k ranged, with SoA :D. Those were the days.
  20. Slayer helm and void are different modifiers though, void is a modifier to level whereas fsh is to total roll.
  21. Forgot to mention that you should upgrade to a god mitre, especially since your prayer level is fairly low. Compared to a mystic hat, you gain 2% melee soak, 1% magic soak and 3 prayer bonus, at a cost of 15k.
  22. Broad bolts are too cheap (use runite), and I've heard that void doesn't stack with the tokkul-zo ring, but I'm not 100% on that. If it doesn't stack, void is a bad idea.

Bake pie is 600k cooking and not much more expensive than wines, if at all. Also more afk.
