Should I sell my herbs?
Didn't happen last time, and won't happen again. Everyone knows there's going to be a bxpw, so there shouldn't be a price spike. Last bonus xp weekend people achieved profits of 2.3x-2.7x on toadflax, whiteberries etc.. You have to sell the moment it's announced usually.

So far on my one serious attempt it seems the kiln is more boring than challenging. I spent a lot of time maging stuff that really shouldn't be maged, granted, but most of the time you're just clicking monsters in the right order regardless of what strategy you use. Wave 30 took a bit over an hour. Prayer wise I'd recommend praying against whatever is hitting you, the prayer recommendation list is 100% useless because it doesn't take into account luring.

Died on wave 30, 822 ranged hit from the Jad there. Was at 4 fps, pretty much expecting that death to come earlier even. Up to wave 30 it's easy at least, used 1 invulnerability crystal cause 4 fps on first Jad (lol).

200M in all Skills
No, that's just me forgetting about abyssal. Swamp titan does last twice as long per pouch so that might matter. And I think the multi-target poison attack would provide attack xp, not magic, whereas abyssal has no useful spec.

Logging on to try and beat Kiln now, lol. On one hand it's nice to be able to forget about (Jagex') mistakes, but on the other hand it'd help my case more if I stayed consistent -.-. It also doesn't help that my computer seemingly refuses to run Civ atm.

Green Fingers or JOAT
Greenfingers will be useful for as long as you're making money (at a rate of 5m/hr or less with your other methods), JoT only as long as you care for xp (which, granted, can be a very long time).

I only did random skilling for strange rocks, I was hugely looking forward to only having to hunt tds and dungeoneering and do pengs/troll invasion etc. to level RC to the point I would be willing to lamp it. Now that I get to the point that it's all only fun stuff, the fun stuff gets nerfed into oblivion.

Fight Caves
If you were willing to practice a bit, you could melee the caves, which has some advantages (most notably, it's fast and you have lots of defence in melee armour). With piety and a chaotic rapier you could definitely make it.

slaying gear
Obsidian sword is like a dds, brackish like dscim roughly? I think brackish would win on anything that has enough defence for stab to matter.

Best method for attack & strength xp?
If you have maxed/nearly maxed gear as well or are willing to get it: Void melee, deflector, goliaths, chaotic rapier, salve (e), tokhaar (new cape thingy), berserker (i), steadfast boots. Kill the skeletons under Ape Atoll with a swamp titan (the best familiar that gives attack xp afaik, funnily the highest tier melee familiar trains defence which isn't really a melee skill). Until 80 attack you'll have to use a whip, get 80 attack, then strength to 90-95, then alternate both.

How hard is to to bank thousands of wines before Bonus XP?
They fixed withdrawing unfermented wines as notes and they made each wine count as 1 use of brawling gloves. Otherwise, wines are still fast cooking xp and should still work on the bonus xp weekend.
-
TokKul-Zo or Zerker on task?
To be exact (because I like that): +4 strength bonus will add 1/16th of your effective strength level to your max hit. The ring will add 10%, which is higher than 1/16th.

Effigy nerf
The only proper way to train a skill, in my opinion, is the most efficient. Saying that you should physically use essence on an altar to train runecrafting 'properly' is like saying you should always chop the highest level tree you can for woodcutting. Effigies are a part of skills, they are listed in skill guides and happen to be viable methods, but only for clusters of skills, never a single skill, which is also what makes effigies interesting. ZMI was not the most efficient pre-nerf, hence it was not the proper way to train runecrafting. Because I did like the 'old' proper way for a number of skills: agility, mining, runecrafting, thieving, woodcutting, cooking, fishing and hunter, and I do not like the 'new' proper way of a number of skills: agility, runecrafting, fishing I do not like this update.

I'm touched guys, appreciate it <3:. I'm definitely not focusing on maxing anymore, but maybe I'll come back to dg a bit, later. I'm still very annoyed at Jagex and I can't look at the RS homepage without raging atm. Jagex is closed, untransparent and lacks a global vision. They do not understand their own game, they do not know what they want it to be in a year and they do not tell anyone what they are doing. The Q&A posted about the effigy nuke contains a sentence (I paraphrase): "We didn't expect this many effigies to enter the game." and "Telling people about this nerf beforehand would only make it worse.". That shows that Jagex is unable to work out the effigy rate from the formula (which they designed themselves!) and the kill rate on any monster (which they control, by updating spawn rates, monster defence etc.). It also shows they do not at all care for efficiency or the 'saving' aspect of effigies to gain a greater reward from them. However, despite them being caught off-guard and disliking effigyscape, it took them some 1.5 years to figure this out and 'fix' it, and it came as a complete surprise. Power creep naturally make it easier to obtain effigies, but the main boosts (overload, turmoil, steel titan, cannon) were already around at the release, and power creep in skilling xp rates (urns anyone?) should compensate for that. Previous updates have favoured effigies - no sign Jagex wanted to make them less common. New releases like glacors, ganodermics and Storm of Armadyl made it easier to obtain effigies. But now, they have to be clumsily nuked because Mod Mark can't compete at crawlers <_<. tl;dr Jagex isn't very good at this game. The good news is Russia is totally trashed . Moving up a difficulty level now (I'm not very far yet but getting there).

Boss Hunting
Ancient ceremonial robes let you skip killcount. Wear the items you need to make all monsters unagressive (the tip.it Nex guide has an image I think). It's something like Karil's + a good shield. Stand next to the door to the bank area, drink 1 dose of Saradomin brew, quickly equip your robe set and go in ASAP. You shouldn't take much damage.

Meh RS is not well-designed at all because it has grown so much over the years. It needs fixing, but it doesn't need a nuke of what has become an integral part of the game after 1.5 years. It's like nerfing chaotics down to the power of whips and godsword, but worse. I admit I did log on to try the Kiln after posting that, but after a lot of false starts I kinda gave up on that (goliaths nearly degraded, forgot space for crystals, yak not full timer anymore etc.). I'm going to defeat Russia in Civilization V now, and leave them with a nice little island which just about holds a city (they have a 1 hex island up in the arctic, only Guthix knows why they settled there) and use Great Artists to culture bomb them down to 1 hex then nuke them -.-. My advice for the kiln: First and foremost, spend money. Secondly, bring ganodermic/virtus, max mage with Ardougne cloak 4, Storm of Armadyl and lots of casts, goliath gloves! (important). Also rapier, fury, defender, torva (or Bandos or something). EEE spec, pickaxe!. 4 overload, 4 renewal, 4 sup restore, 8 super prayer, arma runes, uni scrolls, uni pouch, switches and rest brews (including yak & that's all flasks (6) of course). Approximately. You can restore prayer while in there as well so you may need less prayer. Melee the first waves, praying ss. Only ranged + melee attacks. They hit a tiny bit through prot range. You'll get some mages at some point, pray mage, no big deal. Also some ket-dill thingies, pickaxe them and crush with goliath gloves. Wave 10 is Jad with a few rangers, pray switch and deal with rangers before dealing with Jad in a regular fashion (I never got this far so...). Not sure past this but at some point something may be worth using SoA on either because of the range it has, the dps it has or the defence of the enemy. Wave 20 and 30 are Jads too. Last wave but two and three both have Jad, last wave but one is two Jads according to rswiki. That's 7 Jads total. Big boss: melee tentacles mage big head? No clue.

Effigy nerf
This. I'm also up for slashing the base drop rate by a factor 2, halving xp per effigy and adding effigies to various skilling methods. E.g. a 1/5000 chance of getting an effigy from a concentrated gold rock? Given that you can mine easily over a thousand ores per hour, that would add a lot of effigy xp to skills that are "properly" trained.

Dungeoneering is stupid as well, we should nerf that. Way too powerful weapons. Make it so you get 20% less xp for each chaotic you have? Slayer is honestly really stupid, could do with a nerf, you can kill those creatures way too easily with fsh boost. Maybe 20% less combat xp on task? I mean, just because you think it's stupid, is not a reason to spoil it for others. What? They are the worst comparisons ive ever seen. I disagree with miracle's first post, but he is right here. They are bad comparisons. Maybe if using a chaotic gave you fishing XP it would work, but it doesn't so they don't link. They weren't meant to be the same sort of things, but ridiculous complaints. Which, judging by your reactions, they are. People did complain about all sorts of things being "too powerful". I'm saying that just because they are very powerful (game-changing in terms of what you can do to level) you don't need to nerf it.

What should I do with all my effigies
Depending on what you want to achieve, the most efficient is now: Max: Save effigies, do not do any combat until you can open all stages yourself, then lamp rc/agi/mine/fish maybe slayer depending on how much the effigy rate got nerfed. An effigy 99: Save effigies while training the skill normally, until you can open all stages. That is, assuming you would normally effigy the skill.

Where in RS/lores/etc. does it say the Elder Gods created Gielinor (honest question)? And don't give me anything about implications, it says what it says. To me, it's possible the Elder Gods also found a world left by Even Elder Gods whose creations kinda messed up, and then the Elder Gods' creations messed up again, clearing the way for the current generation. Or with however many iterations you want to do that.

Effigy nerf
That would make people pay high levels to assist their effigies, because honestly I'm not going to stand at Daemonheim assisting people for no reward. @Infinity: You brush off Vex in the same way you tried to brush off Muggi. Truth is, they are both more important to the community than you, and their opinion carries more weight at least with me.

Well, in case of farming, you'll see that the more expensive seeds return more expensive herbs. The expensive seeds are not always the best to farm, but the best farming profit is gained from the most expensive seed (torstol). In your case ranarrs are best. Once you get higher farming, snapdragon will be best. And as you gain juju/greenfingers/scroll of life torstol will be best. In combat, you spend money on prayer potions to keep praying piety, increasing your kill rate and loot gain. For skilling, you spend money on levelling faster so you can spend the time you saved doing something profitable.
