Armours and weps!
I love how I can make that post and after a while it just automatically appears on threads like this :D. So instead I'll repost my Korasi vs. dragon claws comparison from the thread Paul linked: Korasi's sword will max over 800 with specials in Kuradal's (source). I'll just assume that was using max strength gear at the time but with fury, fero and defender. That is 110 strength bonus. According to Grimy's melee dps calc, the max hit without fsh boost would be 475, resulting in an overall max of 752. I'd say 841 is clearly higher and that fsh must apply. Current max gear is virtually the same (only goliaths are new and they are barely/not worth it anyway). That gives us an average of 578 per special with berserker (i) and 554 with fero but before the fero effect. If we assume the graph for claws is correct for off-task and fsh doesn't apply to them (so it is also correct for on-task apart from the +3 strength from Neitiznot), that means claws average a little under 447 per spec on 0 defence. With fero, they will spec lower of course until you apply the fero effect. I think you can say, based on this, that Korasi's > claws for a single spec. Claws can spec slightly more often but the difference is too big for that to make claws better I think. In Kuradal's claws have a distinct advantage but even with an extra 120 per spec claws would not average higher. This is in single combat of course (so it applies to black demons, black dragons, dark beasts, ice strykewyrms and metal dragons). [end post] In short, I do not think claws are worth getting for slayer before you have at least full Bandos, fury and imbued rings.

God Staves
Flames of Zamorak reduces magic level. Claws of Guthix reduces defence level. Saradomin strike reduces prayer level. Of the three, Flames of Zamorak might actually be the best for mage-heavy pvp, since magic level affects both your opponent's magic defence and damage output. However, you can cast Claws of Guthix with a void mace, which has a higher magic attack bonus than the god staves, +6 prayer bonus and a +10% magic damage bonus, which is why Dagannoth Rex hunters of days gone by preferred it (of course the damage bonus didn't exist then but +6 prayer was still there).

collecting charms
Could cannon greaters in the wilderness, faster than black demons charm-wise by a mile, not as many effigies though. And not cheap.

Didn't manage to get any sc done today. New tds setups: [set=head:11569,cape:11371,neck:9927,quiver:8214,weapon:10684,body:11573,legs:11572,gloves:11570,boots:11571,ring:9350] [set=head:11569,cape:11371,neck:9927,quiver:8214,weapon:9552,body:11573,legs:11572,gloves:11570,boots:11571,ring:9350] 75 ranged strength with hex, yes please :D. Got to be real good at quickswitching though.

Jad on task
Your second point is not relevant. There is no difference between owning the armour and owning the money. And you're wrong on the first count as well. It's still better to make money for Virtus unless your moneymaker would be significantly faster with a fire cape.

Jad on task
Buy Virtus 200m Do fight caves Repair Virtus 50k Sell Virtus 200m OR Buy gano 4m Do fight caves Repair gano 200k Sell gano 4m Costs: 50k vs. 200k. No matter what your cash pile is, Virtus is cheaper and better. There is no such thing as 'spending less on ganodermic' the end.

200M in all Skills
Suomi up to 24m base (surprise). Depending on effigy luck, 26m base will be achieved tomorrow/day after . After that it's hunter as lowest again.

Jad on task
You don't spend money on virtus. You invest it. Ganodermic is much more expensive to use than virtus, so in reality you're saving money.

Grats on claws :D.- Something fun.
Running chocolate chimp ices.- Jad on task
You can either have 46% soak and 990 lp + brew (works out to about 1150) or 10% soak and 1390 lp + brew (works out to some 1620 lp iirc). With the latter having 9 more magic attack bonus. Say Jad will hit 1000. With the first option you're at 518 health. With the second option you're at 700 health. E.g. the difference isn't huge. You die in two bad hits all the same, you heal up at the same rate, it's just magic attack bonus versus investment required.- Where do people get the money to cannon/chin?
1) You aren't maxed combat by a long stretch. 2) Turmoil zerkers typically don't boss. 3) They are the best you got, therefore not slow. You can't compare moneymakers to some ideal you can't even access. I'm not claiming that tds are slow because I should be making 50m/hr staking, am I? Because I can't make 50m/hr staking. I can do tds. To quote Captain Jack Sparrow: "The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can’t do. " For instance, you can accept that you are not a maxed bosshunter and a good man or you can’t. But not maxed is what you are now, boy, so you’ll have to square with that some day. If you need to spend hours not enjoying yourself to enjoy yourself, you need to ask yourself: is it worth it? And secondly: life works that way. It's not all fun. If you want to have fun all of the time without effort put in, search long and far, because nobody's found that yet. You seem to think that just because you played ten years ago, you deserve to be rich and successful. That's not how it works. Efficient people, focused (non-afk) people and people with lots of playtime get rich (and lucky people). That 'bratty 120' had one or more of those factors. You apparently don't. You can either get them, or stop whining.- Runescape citadel frost dragon

- What boss to hunt for money?
Tds/glacors being no option and without extremes/ovl but with turmoil/uni. 'fraid the best bet is still tds :P. Frost drags are decent too. Snapdragon farming is good money as well. If solo Bandos isn't too crowded you could try that depending on which chaotic you have.- Agility.
Yes, at level 90, flash powder factory would beat a level 48 course :P.- Where do people get the money to cannon/chin?
We've established that you need money to make money. E.g. having money makes moneymaking more efficient. However if you do not have money, those more efficient methods are not available. E.g. the most efficient method depends on what money you have. It is true you can't do tds with ovl/turm/steel titan, which is most efficient for a maxed player. But that doesn't apply to you, you aren't maxed. E.g. you shouldn't judge moneymaking by the strategies a maxed+rich player would use. Judge moneymakers by how good they are for you. E.g. tds with unicorn, no overloads and no turmoil are better than glacors with the same stats.- Q
Started out with commons at 70, they were just released then. Basically hunted them to 80 to gather seed drop data. From that point, draconic + common. Also a couple of Zamorak/igneous/diseased/aquatic jads for pots. Got level 3 def/heal today and horn charge, so I can get mining rocks at least.- #19: Completionist: Week 11. Prayer and 2,300 Total Acquired!
Hi. Also grats.- Q
- Training Combat Advice
Dragon claws may beat dragon longsword at higher levels, for now I'd say go with brackish blade which is universally better. Get a dragon defender asap too. And 70 prayer would help a lot if you had piety unlocked, worth shooting for. - Aiel's srs bsns blog: #1 Bad NEXer -- #21: 99 Theif 2562/2595
