  1. This relies on the assumption that the new area will have anything to get monsters stuck behind. All the area need is a boundary for that tactic to work. Not really, in fight caves (unless I am facing some majorly weird bug) unless 90s/360s/jad are almost completely behind the a rock outcrop they can still attack, not just stuck on a corner like meleers. You can trap monsters between the wall and another monster. Since Jad is so big, that's fairly easy to do. Jad will only move when you're out of range but standing under him counts as well, so you can 'walk' him to the wall.
  2. Polypore+arc+arcstream switching to rapier+defender+fury, otherwise max mage gear w/ ardy cloak 4 (max cape in your case of course), Neitiznot w/ titan scrolls, imbued zerker. I use eee specs, no need for brews with that. Inventory is 5 switches 3 ovl titan scrolls lantern ~15 pray pots (renewals are a bit of a waste since you can easily carry enough regular pray pots). If you wanted to do a 2 titan trip you'd need 6 ovl 6 renewal but that'd leave space for 9 pray pots only (and that's banking the lantern after descending, filling up from yak and then dismissing), and super prayers won't cover that I think. But with the 6 dose pots you'd take 4 ovl 4 renewal and 12 pray pots (6) which would be fine.
  3. Dragon armour was designed as a tier above rune and it is much better than rune. Over time other, higher-levelled gear was released and dragon lost most of its usefulness. But that's natural. Trying to bring dragon back as a useful end-game item is just misplaced nostalgia. Dragon is still used, mostly boots and defender and legs/skirt a bit, and that's quite enough considering the low levels it requires. The main reason dragon isn't used is not the cost or the defence bonus, it's the lack of strength/prayer bonus. Even a fighter torso will beat a barrows platebody for mid-high end slayer, and lots of people simply get that rather than making money for a chestplate. In the same way, Neitiznot helms provide strength bonus at the same cost as a dragon med helm - easy choice. You can say there are story-related reasons for dragon to be more powerful. But if you look at the armours: Dragon: Forged by mythical, near-extinct race predating the population of the world by mankind. Otherwise just a metal. Third-age: Forged by unknown from enchanted silver (e.g. it's magical). Bandos: Forged by unknown, probably ourgs, from an unknown material. Made for the highest general of Bandos' army, so probably blessed by the god himself. Has seen thousands of years of constant use with no apparent wear. Barrows: Forged by humans, imbued with Mahjarrat magic and human souls. Torva: Forged by unknown, under Zaros' rule, in the time the gods still walked Gielinor. Possibly blessed by Zaros himself (considering only Nex drops it, not the regular Zaros warriors). Dragon isn't that exceptional at all.
  4. I think we killed this game... maybe 500 is too much?
  5. I shall take any excuse to mess with newb mod signatures, Kim, if you need any aid.

  7. Virtus is really great for tds too (but use neit for helmet scrolls). Double claws will be easy with the 6 dose pots - two hour trips @ 60 kph :P.
  8. You need 80 agility to pie for gnome, but it is better than Ape Atoll afaik. Edit: Ninja Paul.
  9. At your level summoning can be slower than runecrafting, but I definitely wouldn't do prayer. Prayer experience gains are barely affected by level, but summoning/runecrafting xp rates do go up fast as you unlock better pouches (giant essence pouch & summoning).
  10. Imo most efficient would be to get overloads and pot to surge. Short of that, ice burst is nice, smoke barrage probably too expensive. Plank make is about 130-140k/hr but very cheap iirc. Livid Farm isn't bad if you need farming xp as well, but slow magic xp.
  11. Maybe they last your level * 10k xp plus a base 400k xp or something. Because they definitely last for more than 1m xp gained, which is more than they would last even at 99 * 10k.
  12. Pest Control monsters only give you half the xp most regular monsters do, so in that sense it's bad xp. Ranged isn't that useful other than Nexing/Armadyl god wars, but it's definitely worth having for Karil's (when you need magic defence), grapples and for total levels.
  13. Greenfingers honestly is the only aura I'm really considering getting. It's something I would use even past 200m farm if I ever got that.

Ignore Wiki monster weaknesses, they have too many wrong. Zombies tend to be slash but outside of dg they have extremely low defence either way to the point that extreme attack potions are almost unnoticable.
  15. That's not really possible. SoA has about 20% higher raw dps than rapier and it's more accurate on metals too afaik. No amount of claw specs can beat that (Korasi's is better anyway).
  16. Castle Wars is one of the very last things I'll be doing, after max would be my guess. It provides no xp and isn't affected by anything you do before comp. Maybe I'll afk to get helmets while reading or something.
  17. I don't think you can find many runners now because the base income has shot up so much, anyone can make 500k-1m per hour from gathering herblore seconds and bones etc. If you want to pay people 1k+ per essence, maybe you can get some ZMI runners on w70.
  18. 1) Yes it is, with a good team. 2) Level 5 roles doesn't matter at all. 3) 5 waves is easier on the healer iirc.
  19. So today I did Char's Training cave, made 5 spirals, trying for 6 next time (22k xp each). Also Book of Char, 140 logs @ 600ish xp each, so about 84k xp. Then Circus for about 38k xp (all fm up to this point) and the agility part for about 9k xp. Then Troll Invasion for 65k rc xp. And I got woodcutting rocks as well :). Edit: also pengs, 600k xp in two hours.
  20. I would allow for a couple of hundred overloads at least, so extra extremes of all types. Even though you don't boss, it can be nice if you want to get, for example, the new upgraded Tzhaar cape or kill a future quest boss. Other than untradeables I believe prayer renewals can be great gp/xp and xp/hr.
  21. Unlikely. Spec restores are used at Nex and solo corp more than anything (and Kuradal slayer sometimes).
  22. I would expect melee to be a little bit faster. You could use Storm of Armadyl for great magic experience and that's definitely faster than melee (and faster mage xp than plank make/string amulet).
  23. Agreed on randoms, Mysterious Old Man takes the cake every time so... 1) The Raptor, to show I'm more bad-ass than him. 2) Zamorak, to show Zaros is more bad-ass than him. 3) Radimus Erkle (spelling?) so I can lead the Legend's Guild and send new members on quests to bring me loads and loads of gp and effigies .
  24. @4 extreme attack + strength (3) used per hour (repot at 5), you will use about 1100 extreme attack and strength @ 40k slayer xp/hr over 11m xp. If you don't cannon you may need twice as much, if you effigy slayer you may need half.
  25. Quyneax replied to Power's topic in Help and Advice
Glacors and tds are your best bet, they will also make the money you need for summoning. If you effigy summoning they are probably the fastest summoning xp/hr in the game.
