  1. Should be noted that low alch takes less time than high alch.
  2. Probably not, making money for spirit shields is a lot more versatile. You can always resell it.
  3. Well it really does depend on how you learn. Some people prefer to read a guide, others make it up as they go along. I would recommend trying the latter first, and reading a guide if you get stuck, or find yourself dying to certain rooms etc.
  4. I already joined DGS, but the attitude should not be that these are the rules and if you cant pay 100% attention and might make small mistakes that you will be kicked. The group was meant to help people, but I hear that it is all about effciency and rules, and you have to be a certain level and have so many binds. That doesnt sound very helpful, more of a dictatorship to me. I am more then happy to learn, but this doesnt sound helpful, it sounds like a dictatorship that says it is my way or the highway, which is contradictory to the reason it was created. No, it's not. Dungeoneering is done most efficiently by listening to the keyer. DGS was created to help people dungeoneer efficiently & to learn people to dungeoneer efficiently. Not to just help them get their chaotics.
  5. Yep. You have the choice of two sizes: small and medium. You also have the choice of six complexities, each offers more skills you can use. For now it doesn't really matter which ones you choose - try them all out. In general complexities one through five are nearly the same though.
  6. Well firstly, you should probably not join dgs with that attitude... if you don't pay 100% attention, dungeoneering is not for you. Secondly, you are not very high combat in my book. You don't have turmoil, you don't have a yak, you don't have chaotics, you don't have your magic or ranged levels up anywhere good. Thirdly, DGS keyers are efficient (when dungeoneering anyway), and they may be crazy, but they won't kick you for going into a dead end floor .
  7. It depends on what you want to do with your gear, but in general you have more defence than you need for moneymaking (green dragons), but that's not bad. From your current setup, the obvious upgrades are to include more strength and prayer bonus. Strength to make you kill faster, and prayer bonus to make you kill cheaper. A god cloak and berserker ring are quick upgrades, though the ring is kinda expensive. Verac's skirt is good too, then after that an amulet of fury. Barrows gloves are the largest & most obvious upgrade now, and either a dragon scimitar or korasi's sword or a saradomin sword for strength xp.
  8. First, do all floors once. It doesn't matter how. All you got to do is find and kill the boss as quickly as possible. Then, open your ring interface. Press the reset button. Now repeat that over and over.
  9. Ice barrage is the best spell for barrows.
  10. Interesting point Leoo brings up: if you were doing random skilling, not much would prevent you from casting remote farming. If you can reduce the number of deaths to, say, 5%, torstol becomes much more viable. If it's 4k gp per run difference, you'd be paying 4k gp for 4k farming xp, which isn't too bad. If it's 4k per patch, it's of course four times as much, still alright, but not great.
  11. For the record, yews are slow money even for woodcutting :P. Moved to Help&Advice as well.
  12. Could be true, I didn't check prices in the past day or so. I assume you mean per patch though? That's not a concern of the OP, as he posted :).
  13. If you are going to hit 10% of the time, accuracy = strength bonus. However once you start getting high accuracy - 50% or more - you won't get as much damage increase from accuracy bonusus as you would from an equal strength bonus. This is because strength will always provide a straight-up boost (% increase in max hit = % increase in damage). You want to hit as high as possible. However for attack you want to hit enough to beat your opponent's defence roll. It doesn't matter by how much you beat it. That's pretty much the same thing as overkill loss. But of course attack rolls tend to be higher than defence rolls (in slayer) and strength rolls tend to be well below health. But theoretically if you hit a steel dragon down to 2 lp, it'd be better to use an onyx (i) switch.
  14. Reword that to damage the monster with a weapon you can have equipped, OK? Smartass :P
  15. I moved some topics to Metagame now, if you feel more belong there, PM a moderator or admin and we'll look into it :).
  16. Simple way to think about it, is that RS checks whether a prayer was active last tick, and whether one is active currently. If both are yes, you lose a pray point, or a fraction. If you click a prayer in tick 1, the prayer should activate in tick 2. In tick 2 you then click the prayer again and it deactivates in tick 3. You will hit again on tick 6, 10 etc. (with a whip).
  17. I'd say - if you intend to farm herbs for money, rather than as a cheap way to 99 only, you should invest in a few tree runs to get to 82 farming & invest in juju pots, then pie your torstol runs.
  18. Your max hit with magic dart is 100 + your magic level, approximately. It used to be +1 max hit for every 10 full magic levels (so only 190, unless boosted over 100, max normally). But since the damage updates & lifepoints updates, I'm not sure anymore. So at your 89 magic you're looking at 180 max or 189 max, before boosts. Wind wave hits 170 max, so it'd be worse damage either way.
  19. Don't bother with DGS. They'll never accept you (or me;p)... Afaik the level 70 is recommended. At level 70 (or rather, 69) you will have floors 30 to 35 to do with DGS, which is all abandoned 2 floors. You can do lower floors, down to 30, or even lower if you find item rushes, and it's always nice to get to know people in DGS beforehand.

    Again, moved to Metagame.
  21. Moved this to Metagame, enjoy :).
  22. Takes another few minutes & you need to walk through a lot more rooms in the chaos tunnels.
  23. I assume you did actually scroll down to see there is a dungeoneering clan for Tip.It members? If not, make sure to have a look.
  24. Whips are only a tiny part of slayer profits. Especially for a powerslayer who doesn't care too much about money, abyssals are barely worth doing. They were a good profit task when whips were 4m, sure, but that's a while ago. Slayer profits are much more dependant on bones, ashes, alchables, rune drops and herb drops, unless you don't have a yak. If you don't have a yak you will severely compromise your slayer xp to bank stuff like that, so yeah, then whips may be relevant.
