Usually the best method is to protect from magic (aberrant spectres) or melee (bloodveld), using a little more prayer bonus than normal. For ranged, go with good darts (adamant is like 50 gp only), void deflector, on yaks.

Zarfot recommends them in his mega slayer guide (well recommends - mentions as an alternative). If you repot often enough, you won't lose defence. You repot zamorak brew - this takes your previously boosted defence down to your base level, then you pot defence and strength after.

Eh? Teaks are 95k xp/hr, sawmill 115k. That leaves around 12 minutes to gain firemaking xp equal to what you would have gained at teaks - firemaking is over 500k xp/hr, so you're talking 100k xp in those 12 minutes. I'm assuming you would be fletching bolts throughout (fletching xp), or alching throughout (magic xp & no need to drop). Fletching the logs is just meh when you could be doing bolts. As for barraging, it's the fastest magic xp in the game. Barraging is also the most efficient way to obtain charms at high incomes and the best way to do barrows and dagganoth Rex.

Tds are good. Of the three you listed, I'd say spirit mages SUCK as they are far from a bank, drop no effigies and drop no charms. Abyssals drop decent crimsons but whips are rather low right now. Chaos dwarves, idk.

The saradomin sword is nearly as good, just really annoying to soul split with imo as it's a bit inaccurate. But still ok, I'd say 2-3% slower max.

I like it, not too much editing, good combos. And a rapier, always nice. Just wondering, would you get a maul anytime?

Before free trade I had hopes to be able to snipe a divine at 600m or so. Not anymore :P. Ah well it's only 50% more anyway.

Well mainly, you mustn't underestimate what +4 strength can do. That's roughly 1.5% increase in kill speed if you are already maxed. For someone who hits 400s max, it's another 2.5% approx. If we assume 0.5% (due to cannon, fero) from 80-99 slayer @ 30k xp/hr, you're talking around 360 hours total, of which you would then save 1.8 hours. That's .5% only! Bandos will do approximately the same, fury again the same, berserker (i), fire cape etc. After you've finished 99 slayer you sell the lot back and keep the time savings - 2% is already 7 hours. You may also add to that that hitting higher is more fun :D.

Not really great, it degrades really fast with that many hits on you. I suppose it'd be great if you're not there for the money? But dfs/obby shield is probably the more cost-oriented choice.

I totally forgot rigour, it's definitely up there for Nex, Kree'arra and tds.
