Growing a little bored of barrows...
To avoid getting crashed, use fire surge and be on task, and bring a magic pot. Sip a dose when a crasher turns up and enjoy another 15% magic damage.

Usual Making Money Question
Torstol doesn't max at 350k/run, it AVERAGES 350k/run with up to 1.5m profit in a single run. I've has single patches make me over 1m. It's no doubt the best steady cash outside of combat and merchanting, and it can compete with the lower-tier high-end combat moneymaking methods like frosts, some GWD, corp, tds with uni. For now I'd slay. It will net you useful xp, charms, effigies (I recommend saving these until you can open them) and it profits. However for that I'd sell ss and obsidian, rune sets etc. what you really don't need (get a cmaul to replace the ss). You'd have around 12m to work with then, for which I'd get Verac's skirt and a berserker ring. That would give you a near-maxed slayer setup. [hide] The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. knife smithing rate
Grimy's Spreadsheets have the answer, the link is in my signature. The figure you are looking for is in the items/hr column: 1299. Check the gp/xp and xp/hr and efficienc ratios to see what metal is best for you (I assume you have no particular care for what metal you smith, you might as well take the most efficient one).
-
What should I work on next?
Well I'm afraid the best way to 'get' dungeoneering is to solo a bit but I can tell you what to do: Take your ring of kinship, open the interface, create a party. Click 'floor' and note all floors not marked as done (empty squares). You want to do all these floors once. Set your complexity to 1 and do them. Once you have done all floors once, you reset. Then you do all floors again, and then you reset again (I'm just saying what to do, not why you do it). You want to do the last 5-10 floors you can do on complexity 6, medium size. How many depends on how much you like them. The purpose is to get levels to unlock content which helps you doing other skills. You can purchase some rewards with tokens you gain through dungeoneering as well. These rewards include the most powerful weapons in the game (besides pvp weapons which are extremely costly for normal use).

Hunt xp options
I think so, yes, they are independant.

Super Prayer and Overloads
Overloads speed up slayer by a very small marigin and if you have 1k+ overloads you might as well use them. It's also fast herblore xp & not too expensive.

Ancient Mage camping - a good set up?
I'd like to add that defence levels and defensive prayers seem to affect agressiveness, as evidenced by people turning turmoil off and getting piled.

Growing a little bored of barrows...
Farm herbs & slay, your summoning level is rather low and you'd be able to make a lot more cash by having a unicorn (tds, gwd) or a yak (dks, frosts, gwd, nex).
-
Herb runs
I would do ranarr for cash I guess, but snaps are far better, so try to get that farming level up :). Avantoe is a lot better xp than ranarr.
-
Chaotic items
The crossbow is neat for Nex/tds/dks/arma, but if you don't want to do that go for the maul.

There is a 7, right :P.

Summoning runs per hour?
Hmmm I don't know for sure, but I remember 50. The wiki has it listed as 2000-2500 per hour though, so it'd probably be a little faster. Perhaps the 50 seconds was for fruit bats (which includes scrolling).

/obt/
You and Stone can start a low hunter high combat society. Which reminds me, would you train hunter if you could turn GWD boss rooms into giant death traps (deadfall through ceiling collapse) at 99 hunt? 100 graars/hr but remember to bait the trap with a damsel in distress :P.

Low Mid Level Slayer
I'd first to Wolf Whistle to get summoning up but that aside... Use a magic shortbow or mithril scimitar (erm, get 40 attack asap). Get some big/dragon bones to get a higher prayer level, and use the 5% ranged bonus prayer. I really don't know anymore, mostly it's recommended to start slayer once you have dscim and 50ish in other combats.

going for the extremes
Yep use a cannon, expect around 2m/hr if you pay attention.
-
going for the extremes
Torstol with juju/sol will very rarely return no profit at all. I just had a run with a death, sold the herbs for min and got seeds for min, 200k profit. Of course if you hate farming that's out. You could try dks (hybrid or maging, I don't think you can tribrid well) and as I said, frosts.
-
Summoning runs per hour?
Duelling rings are slightly faster than glories, and with them I think you can do 50 second runs pretty well even with a spot of lag and such. That'd be 72 runs per hour @ 25 pouches each, or 1800/hr.
-
going for the extremes
I'd go with frosts. Tort, bring a few monks. Without turmoil it really doesn't matter if you have a yak as much because you need to use food anyway (unless you range/mage). So I'd recommend range should you get a yak before turm. Right now, barrows, rapier, defender or dfs (with dfs you can tank more & no need for antifire, which is nice when afking or when you use food). Really just farm torstol.

Eyes of Glouphrie puzzle
You need to get 7 total. Iirc each piece has a point value for shape and colour which are multiplied for the total value. You need 5+2 or 4+2+1 or 4+3 or 6+1 (no 7 I think). Idk which pieces are worth how much anymore.

What style is best to train with red chins?
Yes medium is faster than the others but when chinning it misses more, so short is still best (and saves a few chins from heat death).

95 - 99 Magic Advice
High alchemy isn't the most efficient by a long shot. Neither are rock lobsters the fastest, that's barraging skeletons.
-
Steels task
Bandos is better imo. Although deflects should hit pretty well with monk's robes on, bandos is more dps increase.

95 - 99 Magic Advice
Barraging rock lobsters. Followed by superheating-mining @ LRC. E.g. use the magic for other things.

Putting a boosted level back to normal
Sy nailed it. There is, however, a way to keep the boost, but it involves logging in and out and I think that terminates the juju boost? Either way torstol is best farmed at 82+ farming.

10-01-11 God Wars - The Ancient Prison
Normal speed is 4 ticks ;-). How do the new armours degrade though?
