C rapier vs C longsword
assuming overloads, turmoil, on a slayer task, and 99 strength the whip is still 3% better than the CLS on a target with no defense.

13-May-2010 Fairy Tale Part 3 & DirectX Support and Graphics Options
can we fix the bridge to mos le harmless? seeing as all the other fairy generals had shortcuts associated with them gu'tannoth -> mining shortcut enchanted valley -> log shortcut to ape atoll. this just leaves the broken bridge to mos le harmless i tried using an oak plank on it, didnt work.

Druids and the God Wars Dungeon
this is the "Godwars" mission from the Guthixian campaign in Armies of Gielinor as you can see the dungeon is vaguely shaped like the godwars dungeon. the mission briefing is actually inaccurate. Your mission isn't to hold out. Instead you need to assassinate the leaders of the 4 armies before they can escape these aren't all GWD bosses though. the leaders of the armies you need to assassinate are: Bandos: General Graardor Zamorak: Pyrelord Pazuzu Saradomin: Brother Constantius (a priest) Armadyl: Wingman Skree it's also worth noting that the starting base for the Guthixian Army is located where the Frozen Door is in the Runescape GWD.

Armour for Living Caverns?
always wear your varrock platebody while mining at living rocks. it gives you a small chance of mining an extra ore, which stacks with the possibility of extra ores from concentrated rocks. meaning with a varrock platebody, you can mine up to 3 ores in a single swing. and of course, if you mine the extra ore, you get xp for the extra ore.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but it seems the chaotic weapons last substantially longer the 10 hours the knowledge base states. I have a chaotic rapier right now, and if it keeps draining at the rate it is right now, it should last 20-25 hours of slayering, as opposed to just 10.

C rapier vs C longsword
fair enough :o btw I kinda edited a little calculation into my previous post. I don't know if the assumptions I started on are accurate, but I'm fairly confident that they are. my assumptions were that runescape's accuracy works on a DND dice roll system. and the numbers rolled for accuracy are calculated in the same way that our max hit is calculated. if this is true, the chaotic rapier should be equally good as a longsword if the chaotic rapier is only 50% accurate. (i dont fight bosses so idk how accurate players are on bosses) we definitely are less than 50% accurate on other players so the longsword > rapier in PVP.

C rapier vs C longsword
rapier hits 1.25 times for every 1 hit the longsword does, whereas the max hit for the longsword is only 1.10x the rapier so the rapier is about 13% better on most slayer tasks, maybe that's slightly higher in some books, but not mine You completely ignored accuracy Sure some monsters you will not miss often on, but that just means the longsword would have missed that much less wait, i thought your argument revolved around the fact that the longsword is only "slightly" worse than the rapier for slayer, and the longsword is great for bosses. of course i ignored defenses, slayer monsters have very low defense. Very few slayer monsters have high enough defense such that the accuracy would make up for it. out of all of kuradal's monster list, the only ones that have decent melee defense are: All i can think of is skeletal wyverns, since all other dragons are weak to stab anyways, and maybe abby demons, and black demons it's not like you can't use a rapier for boss hunting anyways. okay lets say that we have a player, turmoiling, overloading, 99 attack and with a chaotic rapier at +142 stab bonus hits 70% of the time (pretty low accuracy if you ask me) and the longsword is at 172 slash for him the enemy monster is neutral to stab vs slash and the game runs on a DND dice roll system for accuracy, which has been hinted at several times then we have a max accuracy diceroll of 64 for the rapier and 74 for the longsword. so the defending monster would need a max accuracy diceroll of 38 to for the player to have an accuracy of about 70% with a 74 max roll with the longsword, the players accuracy would go from 70% to 73.7% which is only about 5% increase in DPS, for a whopping +30 attack accuracy, on a monster with a reasonable amount of defense (for a slayer monster) i repeated this same test for various accuracies. for 50% accuracy with the rapier, the longsword would see a +13$ benefit for the rapier's +13% for 60% accuracy with rapier, the longsword would only see a +8% benefit to the rapier's +13% for 70% accuracy with rapier, the longsword would see a +5% benefit to the rapier's +13% for 80% accuracy with the rapier, the longsword would see a +3% benefit to the rapier's +13% sure these numbers are kinda pulled outa nowhere, but they demonstrate the fact that accuracy bonuses do NOT contribute to DPS effectively, unless you're facing situations where you are literally missing, half the time or more.

Do the hiscores need a new category?
I think you overestimate how long it will take people to get 120 dung :) A little less than a year playing 6 hours a day. :3 well consider this, slayer takes ~400 hours to 99 depending on how quickly you can train it runecrafting is slightly quicker @ ZMI but less fun and doesn't net you xp in other stats. right now it would take ~2,000 hours to 120 dungeoneering without batch 2 but it looks like the xp rate increases somewhat exponentially with prestige. someone said it doubles about every 10 prestige? If that's true we're looking at more around 800 hours to 120 dungeoneering once batch 2 is here. would that really be all that bad? considering it's probably the funnest skill out there right now?

Crystal saw
untrue, it gives you +3 construction and makes sawing planks @ lumberyard faster though.

Absolute FASTEST way to train Hunter?
red chins on an empty world, or red salamanders are pretty much your only options at such a low level they're roughly equal xp rates

So why is everyone getting so excited about this? Because it looks hawt, atleast I think so. I still don't understand the concept, what does it generally do? Well anyways, I stalked up on high level farming seeds =P bloom in oblivion, *points to sword* it makes things look shiny like that.

Don't you think it's kinda lame and arrogant to have Private Chat set to 'Friends'?
I think since it's so easy to just set it to friends, people do it and never turn back. The number of pm's you receive from random strangers, at least for me, is pretty negligible. and it's so easy to just not respond to them. I don't see the point of keeping it on friends. what if an old RS friend i deleted by accident needs to msg me? try turning ur private chat to on sometime and see how many unwanted im's you actually get.

looks like the last 2 floors styles are chaotic and warped does this mean we'll be getting lvl 90 warped weapons? >_< I sure hope I didn't just waste 200k investing in a chaotic rapier afterall.

fairy tale part 2 help
you're best off getting lvl 46 and boosting to 49 with a garden pie seriously... using boosts at such a low farming level is ridiculous you could get 46 farming by the time you got enough spices for a +5 boost

Fishing help
at 57 fishing you shouldn't be fishing for profit in fact you should never fish for profit, period fishing is not good profit, stick to training fishing for xp, and doing other things for profit. so fly fish you should also learn to do fish flingers with a clan chat (fish fish cc OR fish fling1) as for money, look up laura's daily activities guide

Highest Skill Door in Dungeoneering
is there a highest lvl skill door possible? I've seen doors where it was not possible for me to unlock, even with the highest potion, on solo. but has anybody seen a door that would literally require lvl 99 in a skill + the best potion to unlock? I'm wondering because I'm curious if there is some milestone level, where you can unlock all doors, with potions, without simply being lvl 99 For most skills, you can pot up to lvl 110 i believe But I don't recall seeing doors over lvl 105

I'd orgasm but nowadays everywhere's accessible with fairy rings or some kind of transport. soloing would be too easy Not if they made it break if you died, you would still need to run back to the grave. Also, they could make them not work in some locations (like godwars, maybe resetting counter and appearing outside boss door). This would be epic for slayer though, and that is what most people would use this for I think. IT would make several skills easier to train by cutting bank trips. Would there be a need to make it unprofitable? or rather expensive so that it's not what everyone will use all the time for everything in any way but more of a way of convenience for the rich and lazy. such a spell would break runecrafting lol and dorgeshuun agility course
