  1. 5:5 means 5 people playing, difficulty set to 5 5:4 means 5 people playing, difficulty set to 4
  2. the blood necklace is rare as heck though I've only seen edimmu twice on the way to 83 dungeoneering and he's never dropped the necklace.
  3. smelt gold ores @ a furnace while simultaneously superheating the ores ^^ i believe this is the most efficient method atm.
  4. All the items and GP would remain in game, it would do nothing to stem inflation. But once again, inflation is not a problem, so there's no need for this solution. GP would leave ppl pay GP's for the items merch clan leaders never get the cash or the items back only the items are recirculated, cash used to buy back the items, is removed.
  5. Eh yeah, but it's easy to blame PVP because it's a trigger point. I like alching, it's something unique to runescape the rogue is bad yes, glad it got nerfed. Remember PVP tricking used to earn millions of raw gp/hour. Alching/rogue ultimately did not bring gp in at those rates. PVP tricking died down recently, but the raw cash rate is still ridiculous. The rogue and alching takes time collecting logs, smelting gold bars, etc. All pvp takes is time building up your EP. ANYWAYS: My dream solution: Once every few months, jagex should round up all the leaders of the manipulation clan. Remove all the items from their account. Then sell these items on GE for minimum price. deflation occurs, manipulated items go back to normal prices, manipulation clans get pwned, 3 birds, 1 stone. chyeah.
  6. just to add on this note. familiars are a huge help against the books spam the call familiar button. any familiar, even BOB's will 1hit all the books. just call, let it attack a book, and call it again. and erm, plate armor + long bow + pray mage is a great combo against lex. longbows have such great attack bonus and lex has such weak range def that it just rips through lexi's armor anyways. the battle shouldn't last long enough for your prayer to run out, unless you have a prayer lvl less than 50. Just make sure you find an altar.
  7. Definitely not weapons. That would defeat the purpose of them removing weapon PVP drops and replacing cash. Perhaps skilling resources like logs, coal, etc would be good. anyways, alot of gamers don't train fishing/wcing/mining for the sake of money anymore (The lower level players do though, and the update I just proposed would be a huge kick to the sensitive regions for them) ultimately i think you should be allowed to trade in statuettes for a VARIETY of items, cash, resouces, weapons, etc. if balanced properly, this would, at the very least, spread the economic impact of PVP drops over more items than just the GP balancing takes effort and skill though. I doubt jagex is up to the job.
  8. If I knew the answer to that, I surely would not tell you :) but people are always willing to name a few good ways to make money. I'm guessing you're not into merchanting, nor could anybody just teach you that in a post. boss hunting is good, but your stats are too low. if you could level that up then great. You do have a massive ranged level though. GWD would be nice but you should work on that def, and especially that summoning level. But you could still armadyl GWD. Otherwise, Grenwall hunting are a great ~ 1 mil gp/hour source. but in complete honesty, skill first, make big money later. Stick to daily money makers. The opportunity cost of grinding out cash early on, when your stats are too low to make truly good money, is simply too expensive.
  9. Jagex knows, they said they're gonna take deflationary measures. Dungeoneering weapons will drain some money from the economy, and they've recently eliminated the Jewelry Rogue. inflation occured mainly because of PVP drops, because jagex couldn't think of a better way to implement a loot system.
  10. But stress can be fun. Riding a roller coaster. Playing a video game on the highest difficulty setting both are very stressful AND fun. The pressure of saving those last few minutes in a dungeon is the best part. if you're not looking for stress, you should go train woodcutting.
  11. you could range @ gu'tannoth, but that would be slow and you would not get your ammo back. I'm guessing you're not using kuradal, or you wouldn't be asking this question. Otherwise you should just use her dungeon. just use brimhaven. The dogs stop attacking you for a while. Avoid walking too far away from where you are camping, or the dogs will start attacking you again brings spells/throwing knives/arrows in order to bait demons towards you, instead of walking towards them to do so.
  12. do you speak efficiency?
  13. I wouldn't expect 200/hour @ ct's. I've never gotten it with turmoil + overloads, but you can get darned close. i forget the exact numbers, but I think on my best run I got 175 in an hour?
  14. unfinished potions takes 1 game tick to make per potion. in order to make 1.5k unf potions per hour, you have to spend ~25 seconds banking in other words. it is taking you 3 times longer to bank and click make-all than it is taking you to make the potions. you should be able to make 3k unf potions per hour assuming you spend an equal amount of time banking, as you spend making the potions.
  15. a smart player figures out which unf potions sell, makes those, and earns millions. everybody else either finds a better money maker, or chokes and their insecurities and dooms themselves to poverty.
  16. a- dont sell game necklaces @ 1 charge remaining b- you average 6.6 herbs/seed with magic secateurs c- lastly and most importantly, quit failing at killing green dragons 20 minutes for a full load without a familiar is ridiculous even 5 minute run times to get to green dragons is ridiculous. I don't know how laggy you are. But your numbers smell fishy. look.. People have given you multiple money making ideas. Take them, or figure out your own solution you really should not be worrying about being able to do efficiency calculations right now if you can't even make money properly. unless of course you are calculating efficiency for the sole pleasure of calculating efficiencies, which I don't think is the case. so set your priorities to finding a better money maker first. or accept that with or without efficiency, you will forever be doomed to fail.
  17. double astrals are about 900k gp/hour, nats are about 1160k gp/hour right now.
  18. the point is that there is something horribly wrong if you value your income at only 300k/hour o.O
  19. is there a second ferret puzzle in the dungeon with a fire that requires a lower cooking level? if there is you can take cooked fish from there. No, there is just 1 ferret puzzle. Then either you missed a key or you have to restart :)
  20. I don't really have high standards. Two friends and I play together, and when we feel like playing 5:5, we visit some high population worlds and just ask if anyone else wants to join us for that floor. We take pretty much anyone over level 100, and we've never met with complete disaster. To be honest, the three of us have most roles covered... so anything our guest team-mates do is just a bonus. If they overlap our roles, well, we adjust and it's not a big deal. The only real problems we've encountered are when players join our team with really high skills and don't really keep up well (like the maxed player who joined us). dungeoneering shows us that with great skills, comes great responsibility :P
  21. is there a second ferret puzzle in the dungeon with a fire that requires a lower cooking level? if there is you can take cooked fish from there.
  22. if you work like the average joe, you'll earn money like the average joe... try killing blue dragons bronze dragons they're usually much less crowded. you NEED to innovate and find better money makers. if you can't be bothered to use your brain to earn money then you'll get paid the income of someone without a brain
  23. you give up so easily. there are ways for even big noobs to make money. the best money makers are the ones that people don't know about after all. look up stuff like sinister key money makers. oh buy bird meat from ooglog, water filled vials from shilo village, and 1k water/earth runes + 500 deaths from the mage's guild too
  24. what are your best money makers then? only the biggest noobs make just 300k gp/hour Be sure to farm and do dailies. They're essential to having a good income, regardless of your stats
  25. well they're not efficiency calcs anymore if you rely on eliminating t hem manually. then they're just gp/xp calcs with you removing all stupidly slow methods. so yeah, you'll probably end up wasting your time. saving time requires 2 things. 1) doing actual efficiency calcs 2) knowing, accurately, the value of your time. you know how people say you shouldn't live outside your means right? same goes for living under your means.
