first off, what do you define "in combat" to be being attacked? attacking? or both It's not as clear as it seems. If we're attacked, we can't log out for 10 seconds because we're considered "in combat" but if we attack someone, but don't get attacked bag, we can still logout without a 10 second timer. ultimately we'd have to test both scenarios anyways. so on the to do list: show whether or not the weapon degrades when being attacked by multiple enemies show whether or not the weapon degrades if you attack, but don't get retaliated against and I'll work on it, but like I said, I'm off to Canada for the weekend.

Fastest way to 99 in each skill - spreadsheet
50k xp/hour with advanced barb sounds far too low unless you're still low enough level to be failing RS wiki says 72k+ xp/hour is possible with perfect button clicking, and i'm inclined to believe this as max xp rates are fairly easy to measure. 65k xp/hour at barb advanced should be expected from any serious agility trainer, who is 93+ agility or is willing to pot/pie up to 93+ agility.

not anytime soon, i'll be in without a computer for the weekend my friend claimed that his weapon degraded faster in combat with multiple enemies though, so it seems likely.

I wouldn't use them at cannoning mutated bloodvelds, lighthouse dagannoths, or aberrant spectres anymore hehe :P but in all honesty, very few slayer monsters involve multicombat, especially with kuradal these days So i say it's worth it.

Rumour confirmed i had auto retaliate off and let myself get spammed by attacks the weapon degraded getting hit degrades chaotic weapons (still don't know if attacking and not getting hit degrades the weapon or not)

A friend just claimed to have gone from 90% charge to 72% charge in just 200 CT dagannoth kills perhaps chaotic weapons degrade each time you are attacked? I never noticed, rather never really bothered paying attention, during my slayer tasks since i just assumed that the weapon drained by each attack you performed. I'm off to test this real quick, but if anybody could corroborate this data, that would be awesome

i don't think they're "glitched" per se jagex already knows about simultaneous spellcasting, but they only nerfed the ones with seriously wtfhax xp rates i'm guessing you haven't heard about string amulet-bake pie simultaneously? or Contact NPC spell spam? now those were some seriously messed up xp rates when they still worked :P

you can use the pack yak for smithing the same way you do the altar-99 trick with altaring bones, it does help marginally i'd imagine you know the make-99 trick, but i'll explain it anyways you click make-x, and select a large number (say make 99 addy platebodies as you are smithing the 25 addy bars in you inventory, spam the take from BOB button you'll continue smithing as you withdraw the bars from you BOB. and isn't the varrock bank-anvil roughly a 10 second run/bank? you can use pack yaks for other skills like making air bstaffs/potions as well, although it is ALOT more clicking, for marginally more xp/hour

you can find all this info on my spreadsheets I calculate the most efficient methods for most skills, just don't take the xp/gp rates for the "incomplete" spreadsheets with an extra grain of salt. I also don't bother with xp rates for fishing/wcing/agility/etc because the most efficient way of training those skills should be obvious i'll pull out some of that the high xp ones for you if you don't feel like looking there though Runecrafting - ZMI solo - 55k xp/hour? 0 profit to some profit depending on level i believe i've considered hiring a friend to help run ZMI essence with me you can pay a random friend up to 240k per 15 minutes afterall, which is enough to buy some people Crafting: Air battlestaffs - 280k xp/hour assuming it takes 8 seconds to bank and click make-x Black D'hide Bodies - 380k xp/hour assuming it takes 5 seconds to bank and click make-all Cooking: Wines - 400k xp/hour assuming it takes 8 seconds to bank and click make-x Rocktails - 300k xp/hour assuming it takes 8 seconds to bank and click cook-x Bake Summer Pie Spell - 360k xp/hour assuming it takes 5 seconds to bank and cast the spell, magic xp on the side Smithing superheat/smelt gold ore simultaneously - 136k xp/hour assuming 1 run = 27 gold ores, taking 40 seconds (15 ores are superheated, 12 are smelted) Adamant Platebody (SC) - 200k xp/hour assuming it takes 10 seconds to bank, and you get 5 SC tools per hour, no pack yak Adamant Platebody - 255k xp/hour assuming it takes 10 seconds to bank, no pack yak Runite Kiteshield (SC) - 190k xp/hour assuming it takes 10 seconds to bank, and you get 5 SC tools per hour, no pack yak Runite Kiteshield - 230k xp/hour assuming it takes 10 seconds to bank, no pack yak

The death of dungeoneering?
Yeah, actually, it is. And I say that as someone who prefers to solo. I think striving for the perfect xp rate, hiccups and all, is what makes dungeoneering fun for me. solo is terribly boring, the only appeal i see in it is the right to fish/wc/mine/skill to your hearts content, without burdening another player.

Anyone care to explain?
Warped tortoises are very good task, very profitable due to their tortoise shell drops (as well as rune picks etc), easy to bank/access, cannonable, multi, quick to kill, low damaging.. Love them ;P How do you cannon the task when there is only 2 spaws :S? for me atleast, cannoning would just make me wait longer for them to respawn. same problem with kalphites. Why do everyone hate aquanites? I mean they are just like any other slayer creature but for the fact that they use mage. I'm quite happy that i unlocked them. no aquanites = more ice wyrms or any other tasks you prefer. sure slayer is all about variety, but still, it's still more efficient to have more of the tasks that are efficient. if i could have nothing but bloodvelds, I would.

Maul, Longsword or Rapier?
Chaotic maul is superior to both godswords and zamorakian spears @ waterfiends, ignoring prayer bonus of course. if you were to assume that waterfiends had 0 defence (which they clearly do not), then the zamorakian spear's DPS would only be 1.1% higher but clearly the chaotic maul has much better accuracy, so there is no contest.

I should explain the following b4 I ask my question: So i have 2 pairs of goldsmithing gauntlets at this moment. i got them by doing the following: die with 1 goldsmithing gauntlet get a new pair of goldsmithing gauntlet convert new gauntlet into a cooking gauntlet pick up the old goldsmithing gauntlet convert cooking gauntlet into goldsmithing gauntlet the reason I keep both as goldsmithing gauntlets is that if you have 2 different gauntlets in the same place, one will be removed upon log out If you have a cooking and goldsmithing gauntlet in you bank, one will be removed after i log out If you have a cooking and goldsmithing gauntlet in you inventory, one will be removed after i log out If you have a cooking gauntlet in you bank and a goldsmithing gauntlet inventory, I will still ahve both after i log out SO MY QUESTIONS ARE: A: does the duplication method I mentioned still work confirmed, it still works B: if I keep cooking gauntlets in a fish flinger tacklebox in my bank, and a goldsmithing gauntlet in my bank, will I still have both after i log out? confirmed, it works well guess i figured out my questions on my own thanks for nothing punks! :P jk <3 hope this helps someone else.

Maul, Longsword or Rapier?
rapier is great for slayer, good for td/castle wars longsword is comparable, and sometimes inferior to a whip for slayer on most kuradal tasks but great for td/castle wars maul is great for td's, maybe castle wars pretty useless for slayer i'd say get a rapier first, it's the most versatile for you

I Piety Slayer tasks, should I also cannon?
i think of it this way a cannon at full speed at bloodvelds costs me ~700k gp/hour, about 2000 cannonballs thus each cannonball is worth 1.8 seconds to me on any target with defence comparable to a mutated bloodveld. Even moreso on lower defence targets. is 1.8 seconds worth 350 gp to me? If you make over 700k gp/hour, the answer is yes.

Should Jagex start beta testing with players?
what about graphical clipping glitches? based on a blog jagex previously released, alot of the QA time is spent making sure that armor and weapons don't clip with each other when different combinations of them are equipped. the reason jagex was able to release dungeoneering with so many items, is the fact that you cannot take dungenoeering items out of daemonheim (legally) apparently skillcapes clip horribly with dungeoneering armor. thus this saved the QA team the effort of checking what dungeoneering gear clipped with. surely jagex could let the players handle something like this? Most armor/weapons won't provide much insight into future updates. Looking a primal 2H sword won't tell me that the new skill is dunegoneering. just have a random event where a player is asked to equip a random combination of items they were already wearing, and new armor/weapon models then report whether they see a glitch or not, and let the player go back on their merry way with an XP lamp

suiciding 28 vials at a time in a PVP world? :) ps wiki says they alch for 8 gp :P
