64 to 96 Herblore
you can make weapon poison++ although it's got an xp rate of 20k/hour... so it would take ages for 96 like you want to be completely honest with you, the best way to train herblore is just to earn alot of money... people run around talking about how serums(207) are super cheap and about cleaning herbs to make money while training herblore. it's really not worth it. Earn some money, and spend it.

New Skill Speculation - Shape Shifting
backdating isnt completely impossible. We had Chompy Hunting before we had the hunter skill (okay this might be a stretch) Anyways i think shapeshifting isn't the new skill simply because Jagex said that the new skill is "something that hasn't been done before" in runescape or in other games Shapeshifting isn't a particularly new concept anyways Additionally the new skill was originally going to be its own MMO, before jagex implemented it to Runescape instead. We know the new skill will take us to new areas, and I expect that the skill will somehow be another MMO within itself. Shapeshifting just doesn't fit the descriptions that jagex has given us

Lessers, or moss giants
I haven't done the waterfall quest yet :( and ok i'll check them out, i really only collect seeds and charms from Moss giants and alch anything else so i always have room, i usually NEVER need food too. you don't need to do waterfall quest for that spot

Ranging in Kuradal's dungeon
I personally use rune darts Only the cheap darts are hard to buy, I bought 20k rune darts instantly and i've been using them since. rune darts are 250 gp? vs bronze darts that are 70 gp ea but don't really sell well from what i hear. mithril darts at 95 gp ea, i guess that makes them the most cost effective if you can get your hands on any

Dragon crossbow soon?
if you look at the content Q/A recently, jagex said that no new dragon items are coming until after new high lvl gear is released

Measuring my combat skills
I guess if you're a slayer, and defence isnt AS important to you, you could feasibly allow your attack/strength to lead so your xp rate increases, and get def to 99 last or something like that. Would probably be quicker But I prefer to stay balanced just because

Level 27 Minotaurs
lol well in that case you'd probably need to find someone with a high defence level, in f2p, that also kills minotaurs *cough* good luck I recommend you not worry about it :P
-
Level 27 Minotaurs
15 hitpoints in 15 minutes isnt "rarely ever hit"? are you asking at what level your natural hitpoint restore rate compensates for the damage the minotaurs deal?
-
How does level affect slayer dart?
average damage typically half of your max hit Only exception to this rule I can think of is if you wear a ferocious ring. In which case it's your max hit without the ring + 4 every 10 lvls your max hit with slayer dart goes up 1 at lvl 90 the max hit is 19, at 99 the max hit is still 19 you receive 2 magic xp per damage done

KBD soloing questions.
I really would not recommend soloing KBD at your stats. ESPECIALLY without a black mask there are alot of nice ways to slay the KBD if you have access to the lava titan, ardougne cape, super antifires, and all those other goodies, but without those i highly recommend you kill baby black dragons instead.

85 Herblore
so you need about 900k xp til 85 as of today: summoning potions are ~22 gp/xp if you buy unf potions ~20 gp/xp if you go with clean herbs super strengths are ~24 gp/xp if you buy unf potions 21 gp/xp if you buy clean herbs clean avantoes -> super energy are at 19.5 gp/xp that's really the cheaper end of the buyable xp spectrum prayer potions(2) -> prayer mix(2) makes 10gp/xp profit, BUT prayer mix(2) probably don't sell, you'd have to use it as junk, that and the potions are not Make-X I got 99 herblore making barbarian mixes. If you buy prayer potions as (2) dose or get other people to make them into 2 dose for you, I could make ~ 4000 mixes per hour Lack of Make-X means barbarian mixes can be very fast experience... but I personally quit RS for 6 months after finishing 99 herblore, due to wrist pain from having to click over 10k times per hour additionally you may want to consider making weapon poison++ nightshade isnt buyable as you would like, but it's 20k xp/hour @ profit so ~45 hours to 85. Currently the profit is at 16 gp/xp, but typically it's higher than that.

16-Feb-10 Familiarisation (POST YOUR CLUES!)
I've tried bursting them w/o the 3x bonus, and they aren't great the 3x bonus wont help much because ALOT of the time is just spent banking since the abyssal charms dont stack and cant be put into a beast of burden 3x bonus would only amplify the banking process so much more

Greater demons
Gutannoth has easily rangeable greater demons You'll need to telegrab drops though, and retrieving ammo is impossible

16-Feb-10 Familiarisation (POST YOUR CLUES!)
What was the location & location hint? Hint was 'He's off relaxing', location was zanaris. you have to ask pikkupstix to "concentrate" to get a better hint pikkupstix told me he was "off relaxing" at first, but I asked him again and he focused and mentioned something about talking sheep hence zanaris

Summoning vs Herblore
can you make over 2 mil gp/hour? I haven't crunched the actual efficiency numbers, by my gut feeling is that if you don't have a money maker that yields over 2 mil gp/hour, go with herblore

Smithing to 99 Advice
smelting gold ore @ furnace: ~80k xp/hour -3.5 gp/xp Superheating gold ore ~105k smithing + 95k magic xp/hour -7.7 gp per smithing xp Simultaneously casting superheat gold ores and alchemy assumptions: 2 superheats are cast per alchemy spell you are proficient enough at simultaneous casting so that your superheating is not slowed down by the alchemy you lose 2 gp per magic xp ~105k smithing + 157k magic xp/hour -8.3 gp per smithing xp Smithing adamant platebodies with SC hammers Assumption: you can get 5 hammers per hour with a clan chat ~120k smithing xp/hour -8.14 gp/xp Simultaneously superheating mining gold ores + superheating them @ living rock caverns ~50k mining + 42k smithing + 38k magic xp/hour -2.2 gp per smithing xp Clearly superheating gold ores is superior unless you love stealing creation I personally prefer the simultaneous superheating/mining method I've got to train mining anyways, why not superheat while I do it. I don't have data on blast furnace, never struck me as something that would be particularly efficient, unless you're dirt poor.

Rushing Jad
hah I was considering the exact same thing You should definitely use vengeance, and If you can get up to the healers, go with taking jad below half HP before rushing I heard that if you time it right, you can get 2 dragon claws specs in before you get hit by a second attack. That and i would personally set your quick prayers to turmoil + soul split for once you're ready to rush people who do that 7 second rush from max hp Typically just cast vengeance wait 30 seconds dragon claw spec cast vengeance again after you've taken damage dragon claw spec once again switch to whip i'm guessing it's roughly the same thing if you want to wait til 50% hp before you rush anywhoo tell me how it goes I'm basically in your same boat with 3 attempts and always getting pwned @ healers. If this works well I'll try it myself

jagex mentioned a smithing update, maybe coal/ores/bars might be good

Assignments to remove
kuradal doesnt assign warped terrorbirds, only warped tortoises Hellhounds - they drop fero rings, AND they're are amazing with rune darts, ferocious ring, + focus sight otherwise they suck, I'm still debating if they're worth keeping in spite of their mediocre drops Warped tortoises - they're supposedly good money, but they're not great in terms of slayer xp + summon xp, so i have these blocked living rocks - poor charm drops, slayer is good, but not as good as any task you can use a summoning familiar/cannon on. Monsters are spread too far out apart kalphites - i just hate these buggers. slow for a cannon task, very bad drops, they don't even respawn fast enough on a full world to occupy a cannon 100% off the time. suqah's: low #'s are assigned, very quick to cannon, i'd say block these only if you have nothing else you want to block.
-
I'm going to hell, so I want to bring sunblock!
sounds like he doesn't have too much money to throw around, definitely go with full black d'hide to save money on repairs
-
Nomad
i'd go with black d'hide just to save money on death you could do that, but you would be cutting it close in terms of food I'd prefer to use sara brews, but that's just me if you wan't to wait, you can always wait til you have overloads or a unicorn with a unicorn, you can drink summoning potions to restore familiar special attack points, which you can use to heal yourself with a unicorn no point in doing it with a titan though 1 summoning potion(4) = 60 special attack points = 3 heals with unicorn = 3*14 healing = 42 hp per inventory slot

08-Feb-10 - Musical Update & Strykewyrms
I just tested mine, it's only 1/4th of a second T_T Anyways I'll be attempting Jad every slayer task I get for 89 -> 93 slayer, and hopefully I will have a cape by then I'd love to ask those 6 second Jad slayers how many attempts it took them to pull that off. Regardless, i hope a focus sight + vengeance will be enough to let me finish off jad for once.

farming
Shameless self promotion time: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tvyX6CDj7qNBx5xIA5ShA-w&output=html Always farm herbs, allotments aren't always a good idea, but sometimes they can make profit Typically they aren't worth the effort Normal trees aren't worth planting unless you're rich. Oak trees are okay, but they dont give much xp plant fruit trees, low lvl ones, whatever is cost effective. Plant poison ivy's when you're lvl 70 farming As for flowers, marigolds and limpwurts

Skills and the Economic Environment
Dude, I do that too :D I get comments like yours alot, and here's my answer: I LIKE ECONOMICS AND EFFICIENCY I like the feeling of pulling off a successful merch I like making efficiency spreadsheets Some days I won't play RS at all and will just tinker with my spreadsheets instead I think training more efficiently than everybody else makes the training feel sweeter and last but not least, I like rubbing my money in people's faces. Runescape has an interesting economic model, and for me that's one of the funner things it has going for me. If I want to play a war game, I'll go buy team fortress 2 instead of go play Castle Wars If I want to slay random monsters and nothing else, I'll go play dragon age There are many games out there that are better at their respective things than runescape minigames and skills But I play runescape because I like RS economics and efficiency not everybody thinks crunching numbers is boring I'd love to do that, but admittedly, I suck at seasonal merchantingMaybe I can ask one of my friends and see what his thoughts are, but my thoughts on seasonal merchanting are nothing special alas, my one weakness T_T I'd just like to remind you, and everyone else that AFK training is against Jagex rules completely. My bad, by AFK i meant dual monitoring or alt-tabbing, not actually away from keyboard I tend to use the term interchangeably
