  1. I'm looking for some opinions. Do you guys think they're worth looting?
  2. You may have something here. Black and white; Morytania and Misthalin (and the other lands). Although a recent letter answered by a Vampyre showed that the Vampyres aren't really Zamorakian, Drakan only helped Zamorak for his own gain. But you still could be right, together with the 'temple in between' part. The Paterdomus Temple sits on the boundary of these regions. But what about the 'good mysteries come in four' part? There already are four Myreque quests, so this one would be number five. Anyway, it won't be a Grandmaster quest. Void would be the adviser of the King of Varrock (a guthixian) talking about a stalemate between varrock and Morytania edit: eh nevermind that adviser's examine says "he seems to be a follower of saradomin" his robe leggings look exactly like void knight robe leggings though. He also is the one preaching about how guthix would strike down the world if Varrock and Morytania did not maintain a stalemate perhaps he is a void knight spy? bah
  3. So? That didn't stop them from accepting the Group Fishing Guild Teleport from Baba Yaga when they were in trouble, did it? they don't like magic created from Runecrafting Baba Yaga lied and said that she found her runes lying around, whereas she probably runecrafted them
  4. So far all but two of the hints from the last CE letter are implemented. We are waiting on the BA update and Elemental workshop 3. fairly sure that blood runs deep was the supposed BA update. the kin = dragonkin thing is an interesting idea, maybe we'll be seeing the trio of dragonkin from WGS crashing the party? =D
  5. why exactly do people think Nomad = Bilrach btw? From Zemouregal's notes it looks like he served Zemouregal to some extent. The dark warriors that pursued Nomad would seem to indicate that Nomad formerly worked for Lucien
  6. it really depends, if you already have a high prayer bonus, +10 prayer *might* not be worth it well let me apply this to one example a player with my stats slaying metal dragons for example for me +4 str bonus is +2 to my max hit, or a 3.6% bonus to my damage rate and lets say im praying + turmoiling and my gear would be +22 pray bonus with fire cape, 32 with the sw cape with a fire cape that would be 176k gp in prayer potions per hour with the soul wars cape it is 147k gp/hour the time saved by the 3.6% is about 2 minutes 10 seconds lets say the money saved is 27k gp in other words if you make over 750k gp/hour you're probably better off wearing the fire cape actually this analysis is slightly flawed, in the sense that you would not need to spend as much time killing if your max hit were boosted. Thus the break off income is probably lower in this regard additionally booted max hit also means more damage is "wasted" on the final knockout blow. This would in turn raise the gp/hour rate but 750k gp/hour is a good estimate =D
  7. xp is for each amulet it's better to think of string amulet as a spell that automatically selects the "cast all" option FYI fire surge is probably much cheaper after you factor in drops, if clicking once and then forgetting is your kind of deal. XP rates are 100k xp/hour with fire surge vs 150k xp/hour with string amulet top on the fact that you need to actually buy the unstrung amulets somehow and i'd personally rather go for fire surge if i just don't feel like clicking too often and of course you get hp xp too, slayer if you're on task, and summoning xp if the monster drops charms
  8. alrighty, here's a list of viable spells super string amulet super plank make super heating (does not interrupt concentrated ore mining if you allow the animation to finish) I think alchemy and superheating can still be cast simultaneously, of course this would force you to alchemy at a bank cast high alchemy, then cast superheat item before your alchemy is done casting, rinse, repeat alchemy is really good at nightshades, granted you can go pretty much anywhere, like alchemy + telekinetic grab zammy wines New fire surge spells give really good base xp. Maging creatures with good drops puts a dent in the otherwise pricy skill. wolpertinger highly recommended though. blue/green dragons have very low magic defence it seems, making them okay options if you don't mind having to bank alot. abyssal demons have literally negligible magic defence. You'll splash on them once every 500-1k casts with your mage lvl. super bake pie is always there, but the raw pies are a pain, and only worth it for the cooking xp i've personally fallen in love with superheating @ concentrated gold rocks
  9. do you want the cape badly? just for the sake of completing a 99? i would honestly get is slowly through circus + inevitable future quest rewards the cape itself isnt that useful, 1 magic lvl isnt a huge difference, especially due to the lack of lvl 99 spells if you already have a trimmed cape it's kinda pointless, even if you don't you already have the soul wars cape
  10. [hide]Do I smell a new band of "heroes" against lucien for the WGS sequel? Kuradal + Nomad +??? [/hide]
  11. air battlestaffs are much better than green d'hide bodies, you can make 2 air bstaffs in the time it takes to make one green d'hide body ignoring banking time they're cheaper than green d'hide bodies without sc tools as well at 45 mil to 99 for you your calculation was wrong about green dhides btw, it's 80 mil w/o sc needles as for smithing, i'm superheating as i mine concentrated ore and dropping the bars. If you wanna train mining as well, this is the way to go as you can time your spells to not interrupt the mining process please don't make cannonballs. It takes more time to make a steel bar into 4 cannonballs than it takes to fire off a shot from a dark bow...
  12. nomad isn't "hard" he is hard if you don't have soul split or a pack yak, but that doesn't make him hard. I've beaten nomad but I've yet to defeat Jad after 3 attempts Nomad doesn't require fast reflexes, only the ability to dish out damage quickly and heal yourself effectively. That has more to do with your skill levels than with your combat skills (of which i have none) the quest isnt GM worthy in my book.
  13. two more comments to add on the nomad fight soul split works, use it if you can =D and range/mage him when he's farcasting
  14. alot of times training 2 skills at once is great, but for cooking, this probably isnt efficient unless you plan on baking pies with lunar magic. I recommend making wines, granted it might take a while to buy the jugs of water off ge, the xp rate is simply amazing. 70-99 cooking can be achieved in just over 20 hours. the xp is pretty cheap ontop of that. ~1 gp/xp
  15. 1 cast = 1 amulet if you have 25 amulets in your inventory, then it's 25 sets of runes and 25 casts
  16. well there was a merch attempt to raise the price of impling jars based on speculation on the puro puro update, but that faded off last week. But impling jars are up to 900 gp ea getting impling jars might be a decent money maker
  17. with turmoil + overloads + z-spear @ lvl 92 attack, literally never miss, the z-spear just works that well.
  18. *raises hand* old curses are definitely useful on some monsters Abyssal demons for example, have some of the WORST magic defence in the world, and thus you will almost never splash in them, even in full bandos/barrows their melee defence on the other hand is very substantial. Stack on the fact that the curse could cause you or the demon to teleport, and you save yourself the trouble of running to the demon. And suddenly you have a use for curse spells, albeit a circumstantial use
  19. even if you dont beat shilo, you can always use the rasolo/waterfall fly fishing method in p2p, and it is comparably efficient to the shilo spot
  20. nope Some people find that barrows + bunyip is perfectly fine you should check out zamorak mixes though, it's probably cheaper to drink those to restore prayer points than to eat food.
  21. try digsite pendants for your runs too, i'm curious if they're quicker
  22. i once got 7 dboots in a single trip i rarely get anything good from abyssals, metal dragons, etc etc etc not a single granite legging from skeletal wyverns after like 200 kills either but tormented demons treat me well
  23. i used to, but with inflation these days, hell no :P
  24. Jagex did a bunch of fan site interviews in 2009, anybody still have links to them?
  25. anybody know how to extract both the second and third columns of an array with the Index() function? Index([Entry],2,3)is what your guide shows, and it extracts a single entry on the 2nd row, 3rd column My current spreadsheets use: Index([Entry],,)I remove the row 2 and column 3 inputs to extract the entire array Index([Entry],,3)extracts all of column 3 I tried using the following input to extract two columns Index([Entry],,2:3)but it only results in an error by no means do I NEED to extract exactly two columns, but it would sure make my spreadsheets a lot more compact If you know i'd really appreciate it.
